I think Daniel was used as a therapist for Louis to talk to about his vampire life story and he might did this to other interviewers. Then kill them afterwards. So Louis would not keep bugging Armand about how messed up his life was. Giving Armand a break by having these humans to talk to Louis lol 😅.

Raglan James didn't talk about an interview specifically; there haven't been other interviews. Louis doesn't just get random journalists to analyze his trauma. Raglan James in that scene is saying that when ppl from the Talamasca interact with vampires they either die or become undead (aka vampires) which is in line with what happens in the Vampire Chronicles and the Mayfair Witches. Talamasca agents that actually get involved instead of observing from afar usually do end up way over their heads.

I think Louis saw something in Daniel when they first met, which he liked but when Daniel provoked him, he wanted to killed him. However, they let him live and wiped his memory.
I think older Daniel was used as therapy for Louis because he was depressed and he did not know why, because of the memory sweep by Armand.
Armand agreed to the interview (reluctantly) hoping that his secret would not be revealed.
Remember when Daniel asked "Rag" if the Agency can protect him and Rag said "no", I think that's why Daniel was given the script..to get Louis on his side in case things go horribly.
Also, I think Daniel wanted to become a vampire due to his failing health or else he would have gotten out when the fighting started. Who knows, maybe he begged Armand to turn him..remember, young Daniel was begging Louis to turn him.

That definitely could be a possibility but remember earlier in the season he established that he didn't want to be a vampire because of all the stuff Louis said

I feel like Louis insisted on doing the second interview not because he wanted a book but because he wanted to revisit the stories and get them straight. From the beginning of the interview, it's clear that Louis had some sort of an epiphany and had realized that he remembered things with bias. And he knew Daniel would be able to help him get those straight. I think that was where Daniel's role was to end. And Daniel knew that himself too. That's why he was panicking when he realized that the interview is nearing the end. Also, Louis saying that he has prepared something special for him was sus. And Armand insisting that they move the interview to the dining area was also a giveaway because he wanted Daniel to stop altogether. They wouldn't have continued the follow-up questions in the dining area, Daniel himself was dinner.

But didn’t Louis say that his last kill was back in 2000? 🤔 I don’t doubt that Louis & Armand might’ve done something else to him, like wipe his mind again, but I don’t think Louis would’ve killed him

@@niyah7139it wasn’t 5 people he killed, it was 5 people he “brought to the apartment” I think he meant 5 people he hooked up with. Daniel didn’t know yet that he’s a vampire, only found out after they were already in the apartment

Nope, I doubt it. Remember the conversation in San Francisco? Louis admired his talent so much so that he did the interview twice with Daniel. He might not have allowed him to publish it but Louis never killed without reason, so he was probably going to keep the recordings and erase his memory.

Louis was never gonna killed Daniel.. And the only interview about his story was only done once in the 70s and then in the recent days.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, especially when Armond was like "I hope you'll join us" after Louis extended the invitation to him for dinner. Daniel at this point was trying to connect the dots and poke holes in Louis' story so then why would Armond go along and try to keep Daniel's inquisitive ass around long enough for dinner if they weren't going to kill him? 😮 Raglan James and Real Rashid came through just in time to save Daniel's behind that's all I know!

😂😂😂 You already know that’s my story and I’m sticking to it no matter what anyone says. What else could they have planned that was so special beyond anything he’s been served since he arrived season 1? Armand was rushing to the “surprise dinner” to shut Daniel up once and for all and only turned Daniel to spite Louis after the break up. Daniel maybe Armand’s fledgling now linking the two forever but that was never the plan from the beginning because he’s always despised Daniel and the interview from day one.
What saved Daniel was his prior history with Louis from 73’ unlike the other victims, Daniel slowly chipping away at their façade of a relationship and that script. And we know how Armand feels about those vampire rules when it’s convenient for him they were going to share their entire life story and just allow Daniel to walk away? Louis wanted to vent reflect and forgive himself for Claudia through the process( he’s been tortured for 70+ yrs). Armand allowed it and Daniel to hopefully put it all behind them spending a blissful eternity together 😜 They both got more than they bargained for and the RIGHT ONE with Daniel Molloy!

I totally agree with you. The Lamasca folks or whatever their name is knew that, and this is why they sent the final script to Daniel in order to save his life. They knew it would turn Louis against Armand and put an end to their little plan.
