Absolutely unique adventure!! Regarding viewpoints...Have you ever ridden N-630 from Leon tu Puerto de Pajares? N-630 is the old main road from Asturias to León, from pajares to Pola de Lena the views and steepness are formidable, best in sunset, even though you can find some trafic of drivers avoiding the toll in modern higway AP-66... wich is, in turn, one of the most scenic mountain highways in Europe.

I've done these roads, and they are great. But you would love Mirador del Angliru and Alto del Gamoniteiru 1791m, they are by far my favourite rides and views. They are naerish to each other and are just in range from potes for a nice long day's ride. I highly recommend doing them.

Richy, due to other commitments we can't go until the first week of November. Do you have any experience of the Picos, this late in the season. Is the weather likely to be reasonable ?
The weather could still be hot! I would expect it to be quite reasonable 👍
@@RichyVida Thanks Richy, we thought we might have to miss out this year, as November is a lot later than we have been before. We have always ridden what i will call the central Picos triangle, thats why this pass was of interest. Do you have other suggestions for the east and west sides of the triangle, as we may be based in Oviedo this time as a break from Potes.
