Venice by air

What does Venice look like if you were to fly over it? That is exactly what we did with our drone. We were with the catamaran south of Venice and we let the drone fly to San Marco square.
In the video you can clearly see how Venice is surrounded by water and other small islands. And especially how all the boats zigzag around Venice. And how many boats there are!
Every day about 1000-2000 boats are active in small Venice: private boats of residents, tourists, but also public transport (water buses) and commercial transport (water taxis and gondolas or boats that supply shops and restaurants, transport materials such as cargo ships or collect waste).
We thought it was a beautiful sight to see the red roofs of Venice, the high tower of San Marco square and the blue water with the white boats.
