Eddie is such a legend. These guys were all inventing this stuff back then and this is equally hard stuff to do today. I myself learned to ride ramps by building one the plans they showed in the magazines and we put it in the woods and you had to ride the trail to get to it in Massachusetts
Really cool! I was a big fan of Fiola back in the 80’s. I was a motocross racer myself, but me and all my buddies played around on BMX bicycles all the time. I had the pleasure of watching Fiola do a show at a mall in Mission Viejo in 1984. Such a talented kid.
You could watch it in VLC to somewhat fix that. (for actual fix, I'd run it through Handbrake) Just go to Audio-->Stereo Mode-->Right. It'll put the right channel on both sides.
I seen Eddie at the Kellogs BMX Championships doing freestyle with Mike Dominquez bacon in the the day. That was in the UK and we asked Eddie and Mike to come with us to Scotland and ride Livingstone skatepark..............They got a feature in Action Bike UK BMX mag and both said was one of the best bowls they had rode. Cool dudes for sure. I am in my 50s now but as much as I admire progress in vert and freestyle such as X-Games the spin tricks after awhile become lame and dont look smooth just kinda ugly......................I still like the old school high air just table topping, turn downs or inverts looks cool.
Maybe someone can help with this memory.... I remember in an old BMX magazine that Eddie liked to ride dirtbikes in the desert. He wrecked, broke his jaw, and had to perform with his jaw wired shut. Was this Eddie Fiola, or another freestyler?
I remember reading about that, I believe it was Martin Aparijo, probably, but I could be wrong, in the march 1985 issue of BMX Plus! which also had Martin on the cover on a yellow Pro Performer.
I actually have 2 copies of this. Bought the first one on Ebay, then saw a copy in a thrift shop not too long afterwards. Probably could've left it for someone else, but couldn't resist. :p (I think the Ebay copy is more sunbleached anyway)
+Eddie Munster RUclips will mute or replace sound of any music in a video that has a Copyright Claim. The other choice we have is to replace the original sound with royalty free music which I'd rather it be silent then what that is.
Eddie, DMC & Hoffman all still ride to this very day. Eddie and Mat own their own bike companies and DMC is very active with the Vans Bike Competitions
@@OldSchoolBMXTV thank for the response i ride every weekend still and know a good bit about 90's bmx. im only 33 so i missed out on the early years. this account is great thanks.
@@OldSchoolBMXTV very interesting...so was he not sponsored at that time? I noticed neither Eddie or his Haro had any logos...or was this "between" factory sponsors? Ive always thought of Eddie as a GT franchise so I guess seeing him on anything else back then is kind of surprising...
That "Married With Children " couch 🛋 that they're sitting on. In the 80's, you either had this couch or you knew someone who had one.
Eddies the reason I sported my ridiculous mullet in the 80's. I miss them days so much. Anything seemed possible.
Many iconic photographs from these events plastered on my walls back in the day....
Please bring it back the Old School!!!
Good times,,my bmx hero,,,,those were the days.
Hello. Bro. Thankyou. Old. School. BMX. I love you. Bro

30:04
30:03 one of the reasons why the 80's were the 80's.
Basically every field cameraman was a drooling perv back then
Hopefully it'll be like that again in our lifetimes.

Met the king a few months ago. Genuinely good guy. Haven't seen this video in over twenty years.
Fiola was my bike God as a Kid.. & Hosoi was my skate God
Eddie still rides!
I remember seeing him in action bike about 1988 doing a backflip

Sweet couch.
This dude was bigger than Eddie Van Halen to me
My parents had a couch just like that one.
Here for the killer tunes
Here for the killer hair
GREAT UPLOAD HOMIE! THANK YOU! I'm only getting sound in the right channel - Not sure if that's fixable or not. Nonetheless great video.

Anyone know who sings the song or the name of the song that is playing at the end?
It's in the Ending Credits:
Music By
The Chetts
Agent Orange
Steve Steadham

@OldSchoolBMXTV but what is that song? I have looked at all those artists up and couldn't find it.
Maybe someone can help with this memory.... I remember in an old BMX magazine that Eddie liked to ride dirtbikes in the desert. He wrecked, broke his jaw, and had to perform with his jaw wired shut. Was this Eddie Fiola, or another freestyler?
Eddie loves dirt bikes and he is a stuntman by trade now days so most likely true
I remember reading about that, I believe it was Martin Aparijo, probably, but I could be wrong, in the march 1985 issue of BMX Plus! which also had Martin on the cover on a yellow Pro Performer.

6:58 I guess George Harrison was there to support him, the guy in the red shirt
Rad
eddie on a general?
Where is Eddie? Any footage of him today?
He still rides, very active on Facebook and Instagram. Does alot of stunts for movies. Search HB Tuesdays on Instagram or even just Eddie Fiola.
When u accidentally skip to 5:30
♈👍👍👍🔥🔥
I wonder if they wanted to could they still ride like that today?
Eddie and man others still ride...
@@OldSchoolBMXTV wish i still could
was that an 2:37 awkward " almost" handshake
Nope kid...that's back in the day style.
No Sound?

88 had to be around the end of his fame right ? buy this time dmc and the condor where showing what could be done other than fast plants and high airs

Wait.. was he on a Haro in the beginning on that flatland sesh? Oh Eddie...say it isn't so! 😅
He was... Wilkerson started on GT

No sound!
RUclips mutes it out when there is Copyrighted material (Music) in the video that I don't own.
Eddie was rad but Dominguez was the king imo!
Dominguez was way radder than fiola.
