My reactions to Angelina's voice is exactly like yours. She takes me with her to her "endless place" when she sings. There's never been a singer in my 78 years that could make my stress disappear like Angelina. Love your reactions!
I think one of the reasons that Angelina is so relaxing for us to listen to is because she is so relaxed doing it. I have seen it so many times in her videos. As soon as she starts singing you can see this calm that comes over her. She falls into her world of song in her head, and everything else falls away for her. It is so relaxing and calming for her... that we have no choice but to come along for the ride.
Hello Rusty. I am completely with you. Normally, Angelina's voice should be prescribed for therapy on therapy. You know, I love her voice, her way of singing, and the calm that she exudes. I just wanted to write that to you.

The first thing i do when i get home from work is to finish listening to one of her songs that i paused! Go Angelina!!!!
Always love your videos, Marie. 😊 A couple things. First, that video is *overwhelmingly* adorable! Yes, she is so cute, and so innocent, and yet so... hmm, I’m not even sure “confident” is the right word. She’s in her element, she loves singing, she loves her fans, and it’s almost like for the few minutes she is singing, that is where her world begins and ends. There is something about the way the fans wrap around her in this video that elevates the intimacy of the moment and her connection with them.
Second, I may have mentioned that between late November and April I was hit, out and of nowhere, by a series of major medical crises. I discovered Angelina in hospital during the first hospital stay in November. It was a heart attack that I never expected and I was scared. There were times I got myself worked up over my suddenly very real sense of mortality, general self-pity and my two daughters who are my raison d’être. Discovering Angelina’s music literally rocked my world, gave me perspective and, like you said, made the stress and anxiety melt away in a way that no medicine that was ever invented could ever hope to do. She could literally turned sad tears into happy tears within minutes of listening. As soon as I got out of the hospital and was allowed to leave home, I went straight to the the nearest Apple Store, IV bag and pump wrapped around my neck 😂, and bought myself a pair of AirPod Pro earphones. CAN$500 on headphones. Because Angelina! 😂 During a 4.5 week stay in hospital in February/March for a completely different issue (!) and which included the surgery, she literally kept me sane and calm. I spent a week in hospital at the beginning of the lockdown, so no visitors. Again, Angelina’s voice was there for me, to keep me in my right mind.
She isn’t a singer. She is a miracle.
I grew up in a home where singing was part of my regular life. I have been a musician myself since I was old enough to hold a guitar. I have listened to countless thousands of hours of music in my life and entertained others (or at least tried to 😐) as part of choirs, orchestras and a little rock band (a long time ago). I never really fully understood the power of music until I was laying in the hospital bed in late November, listening to Angelina’s voice.

Re-reading my comment it sounds like a lot of self-pity but the point really was just to explain the power of her voice and how it affected me. I can’t wait to watch her continued growth. I don’t even know how she can possibly get better, but I know that she will.
How else can a sensitive person react to this video?❤ She's amazing at eight years old, alone in the middle of all these people, she closes her eyes and goes to her special place and sings in a manner that invites us to go along with her, wherever she goes. This is the summer border concert at the border of Norway and Sweden. I'm fairly sure that the emotional woman the camera focused on twice early on is the Norwegian Prime Ministerin, Erna Solberg, who is a big fan.
SteveK You are right that the Norwegian prime minister is a fan of Angelina, but the woman you see in the audience is not her. But If you take a look at the video ´Angelina Jordan part 1´ you will see Angelina give the the prime minister Erna Solberg an autographed copy of her CD ´It´s magic´. Funny that the prime minister Get an autograph from a 12 year old, it is usually the other way around.

When Angelina is so identified with her source of inspiration, she leaves me absolutely amazed ... how is it possible that a little girl (in this case at 8 years old) is so incredibly emotional and talented as a professional singer to completely involve and fascinate the his audience. This event is “Singing At The Border” and is held yearly at the site of old fortress in the town of Halden, Norway close to the border of Sweden. Local and international artists are invited to perform. The attendees are given the lyrics sheets and are encouraged to sing along.
I was at that event and I can tell you that Angelina was for sure the crowd favourite. Watching this petite 8 years old standing on the stage surrounded by thousands of people delivering such a heart felt performance is forever engraved in my memory.

That's why we are so addicted to her voice. The calming, soothing effect is like medicine for the soul. This performance, shortly after she won NGT, is my favorite very young, pre- "I Put A Spell On You" performance. She just closes her eyes & takes us to that beautiful place in her mind. I don't think you you have reacted to any of her recent performances. You should react to her AGT-Champions performances where she totally rearranged Queen's iconic song Bohemian Rhapsody & got the Golden Buzzer sending her directly to the finals. While yet unknown to many she's already a superstar of the universe. She's like an extraordinarily beautiful flower in its bud slowly spreading its petals for everyone to see and appreciate in awe, but in God's perfect time and not any mortal. This is an outdoor summer concert in Norway a few months after she won NGT. I've probably heard her do this song 100+ times, and it never gets old. When the first notes come out of her mouth there is a shock wave in the audience; their like WTF. How can that be coming from an 8 year old? I've gone back and listened to Dinah Washington's Grammy winning version, and for me, Angelina's is just as good. It's always good to see you react to another Angelina performance. One thing you said holds very true. There is NOTHING Like live music. I have seen many greats Live. In my early years. & nothing compares. & I have spent tens of thousands on Hi Fi systems trying. The justification being you can not see them all live. Ha Ha So I did the best I could. To get them in my specialised listening room. I love all good music. But my one regret in life is not seeing a performance of Madam Butterfly live. With Fereni & Pavarotti. But my broken heart & buckets of tears, would probably have killed me. But. I have a recording. & I am still alive. Ha Ha. (Sorry to go off subject) Music is my passion.

She does the same to all of us. She calms the soul. And it shows. The community that follows her around are some of the nicest people you well ever find in any comment section anywhere. Rarely will you find a harsh word or comment. Instead, it is filled with soft thoughts and supportive language. It's the Angelina effect. The peace she finds in herself when she sings somehow shines out through her voice and blankets everyone listening with that same feeling of calmness and serenity. It's an addictive thing, one of the best addictions anyone could ever be afflicted with, and the side effects are truly wonderful and remarkable. I should know - I'm an Angelina addict myself - I have to hear her at least once a day or it feels like there's something missing in my life.

The first time I heard Angelina it was I Put A Spell On You I was so shocked it made me emotional immediately and I got choked up and I was addicted I was hooked after that! There's a song that she dedicates to the passing of her grandfather I believe, it's a song called You Were Always On My Mind? At first I was struck by the very low Timber and throaty deepness of her voice, but as I watched her I could see the pain etched on her face and her slowly giving into the sorrow that she felt and losing her Grandpa. It made me cry. But I agree with you that she has a unique ability to transport whomever is listening to her voice. Have you ever heard music is the soundtrack of Our Lives? I'm glad can you have her as someone I can live vicariously through? If that makes any sense? Anyway I like to video I'm watching another now. Angelina does more than calm me. My experience is that because she performs each song with such honesty, humility and sincerity, she has gently nudged me in the same direction. She's a true healer.

First off, let me start by saying that I commented before the video even started just because I saw it was a reaction to this video, which I have been requesting for the longest time ever and is really hard to have your request granted and boy I'm so glad I can see it now because this is a great, great song performed by our Angelina and she'll get you from the first second into the song, thank you so so much this was fantastic and of course I loved the way you reacted and you comments, on spot, it's too bad is a really short song... or so it feels because it's not enough coming from Angelina, well you know, if a performance is good and short, then it's twice as good, greetings from Guatemala.

I have been a subscriber to your channel for a few weeks now. I like your format and comments, and the way you deliver them. I have been a big Angelina Jordan fan for about a year, after my son recommended I listen to her. I truly believe she can sing anything she wants to sing. If you want a good example of your range, you should react to her Whitney Houston cove (tribute) of "I Have Nothing". I believe she was 12 or 13 at the time. At 12 she was very prolific and covered all kinds of songs. I would be good to review these before watching the AGT performances. She also wrote and arranged two songs; "Shield, and What is Life" Amazing for someone so young. Thank you for what I do. I have become a fan of yours as well. John K.
Hello, Marie! Here in the United States we are dealing with protests in the streets and Covid-19. It is also an national election year. A lot of political divisiveness. But at least a lot of sunshine where I am! There are many outstanding young female singers in the world today. My personal opinion, in no particular order, the top 3 are Diana Ankudinova, Jackie Evancho and Angelina Jordan! The best young singer-songwriter is Grace Vanderwaal! Too bad that I am so old that I won't live to see them all in their prime years.

Just subscribed - I’ve seen several of your reactions and found them to be consistently excellent. I am a huge fan of Angelina. I am your grandfather’s age, and American. We will eventually overcome the virus, but it will be a long time before all the damage Trump has done to our country, and to the world, is repaired. Music is a refuge from the trials and tribulations that surround us. Watching reactors from different countries and cultures is a way to feel solidarity and kinship with the larger world outside my door. Didn’t mean to ramble on.
