How to Create Detailed Bitmap Effects in Photoshop
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 16 май 2022
- In today’s tutorial I'm going to show you how to create detailed pixel effects just using Photoshop’s Bitmap conversion tool. By configuring a few simple settings, you can easily create retro-style artwork just like old 8-Bit game screens. I’ll first show you how this effect can be applied to photographs, but stick around until the end to also see how this effect helps to create some really cool digital text effects.

The king is back! Love this style. Could you do a tutorial on customizing typefaces? Like getting a more hand-drawn look with stock fonts and textures
Haha I said the same thing when I saw that he uploaded. The king is back!! 🔥
I missed my usual upload slot a couple of weeks ago so I’m making up for it with another video next week 😁
Great topic suggestion, I’ll see what I can come up with for a future upload 👍
Don’t know if money effect can be redone with easy way. Thanks for this.
Very bueno!
Thank gaes
The effect on the Game Over looks a bit like a Norwegian sweater. Fitting as today is Norway's national day :-)
Good
🔥🔥🔥
Godd tutorial thank you.
By the way can you share the background song names ?
Poti sa faci portretul in cristale Swarovski cu acest program?
I recently started getting into this, of course you make a tutorial. It's because I'm the main character... Nah I'm kidding, appreciate it
Crazy how all this came by default 3 decades ago, and now you have to spend some time and have some knowledge to get the same effect.
How do I apply bitmap effect to only a single a layer? Whenever I go to grayscale it asks to merge all layers.
So I am attempting this right now. I was able to do everything until adding a gradient map? It's blacked out for me and won't let me... do you know why?
Does anyone know if the effect works well on a t-shirt print? 🤔
Hi spoon, how are you?...i'm from colombia and i like your videos ....i'm graphic designer and i work in a place were we design sketchbooks, notebooks, art blocks for watercolor etc...i would like to incorporate the sculpture image in a cover...because its very cool!!!...can i use it? Is it ok for you?...thak you for your videos and web 😎
when i apply bitmap it adds a white background, i want the background transparent how can i do it?
nvm, i found a way >> ruclips.net/user/shortsfCwEgdJcEXo
Could I use a 300 resolution instead of 72?
I’m pretty sure you can scale it to any size/resolution
Doing the steps and can see the effect in 100% but it’s unseen on save. I have no clue where I’m going wrong lol
wouldn't it give you more control to do it a bit more manually? The way I've been doing this is with Filter Mosaic to see what kind of pixellation you get and Mode Indexed Color Pattern for the dithering. It's only one step to CRTL Z if you don't like the result, rather than having to do all the bitmapping steps again.
Yes, I mean this does everything in one step and mine does everything in two steps, but it gives you more control over the individual adjustments that way. And you'd keep the original resolution, saving you that second step-
Yeah no. This works, but I'm going to stick to my method. Mosaic, so you can see what grade of pixelation you get and maintain original resolution, then indexed color with pattern, to get the dither, even choose how many steps and in which colors
umm.. based
The tutorial is wrong, the resolution set the image size so it's important to keep it big, especially if you want to print it, and then the Frequency has a HUGE importance on the appearance, the opposite of what you said
saved my project, it looks way better now, thanks :)
man your going way to fast
No effect. This deffekt. Sorry
TOO FAST
