    This SAVED ME!! I cannot express how grateful I am for this video. If you had a way to donate, I would.
    Spent hours trying the "14in lift" technique to no avail. Your solution got me a PERFECT bleed and proper coolant flow within 15min.
    Thanks again!!! :-)

      Brian I am very glad it worked for you ... I have helped a couple of local buddies bleed there’s as well after a shop has tried to ‘purge’ the system for them.

    Continue to thank you Tim! Your videos helped so much when I did my big wheel upgrade. Watching this one I realized I was missing a bolt on the turbo shield.

      I appreciate the feedback! Crappy you missed a bolt but at least you can take care of it. I did several things a couple of times myself as I kept second guessing some of the steps myself.
      Starting to really love this car ... has it out for the first 2 tunes this week and I am SHOCKED at the level of improvement ... transformed the car! Those will be the next videos along with a “DIY” heat shield for the power steering where I will show how to make your own.

      @@350tiger Tim, growing fond of it? Yeah there's just something special about these Kappa platforms especially in GXP or Redline. I've got a GXP manual shift with DDMWorks brace package and the so called budget tune. Boy did that ever wake this car up! The added pep along with a car that handles way out of it league, well it just plain fun. Cheers to you acquisition of an extremely low mileage kappa. I hope you get a chance to take it to a track or the mountains. I rode mine twice on "The Dragon" and was shocked at how well it performed. BTW, very nice videos, very clear, included part numbers and paced properly. Keep up the good stuff. Don

    It will be unbelievable

    Good video.
    You still have air in the system.
    Raising the reservoir will not work.
    I even went so far as to raise the left front wheel almost 2’ and reved the engine to 3000.
    The manual instructs to pull the vacuum before putting any coolant in.
    After getting every bit if air out the car will get to 223 while idling. Running at 3000 the car runs at 195-205.
    I think the air pocket is at the water pump or the tube between the water pump and thermostat housing.
    Mine is a brand new gen 3 because the foam cast block leaked between coolant and oil passages.
    If you have any suggestion how to not get hot on idle let me know.

    • @350tiger
      @350tiger  4 года назад +1

      I have managed to get it to stabilize and it seems my car just reads high due to the heat on the T-stat from the turbo as well as very low coolant flow due to the poor factory water pump effectiveness. There will be an AC Delco improved pump in my future.

    • @gregoryerich9885
      @gregoryerich9885 4 года назад +1

      What is the Delco upgraded water pump part number. I have been taking the temp around the thermostat and it is 204 when gauge states 223?

    • @350tiger
      @350tiger  4 года назад +2

      Yes the replacement water pump has a disk that is attached to the impeller blades. I did see a car that was running this pump and at idle it had significant water trickling in from the small bleed that enters the top of the overflow. My factory pump is one with just the bent up blades and it is not nearly as effective at low RPM pumping and it will get a lot warmer at under 2000-2500 RPM. If I receive to 3000 like you it will pull temps down very fast. Personally if I have any reason to pull the turbo I will be replacing the 12,000 mile factory pump in my car with the AC Delco pump part number #252-821 or the GM Pt# 89036356. Please reach out if I can help further. I would try the simple bleed process as even with the airlift device I still had air in my system. Make sure the heater is on and you go for a good run bringing rpm up over 4000 a few times between bleed attempts.
      You might even want to install one of my water pump heat shields as well to help the seals survive.

    Whats the name of device tool you used to clamp down the hose ?

    • @350tiger
      @350tiger  4 года назад

      They make hose pinch tools but I used needle nose vise grips with a rag around the hose to protect the hose.

    Tim, are you tuned yet? I completed my RPM stage 3 install and need tuned. Just wondering what kind of lead time I am up against.

    • @350tiger
      @350tiger  5 лет назад

      I have had three sessions and needed to change plugs. I have been traveling with work but Martin has been very responsive. It may take 3-5 sessions to get your vehicle fully dialed in.
      Mine has improved dramatically each iteration of the tune.

    Where's the video with the results after the tune?

    • @350tiger
      @350tiger  4 года назад

      Please be patient ... I had some issues to work through with HP Tuners and an update ... thought I had it fixed but it turned out not yet. Latest version of HP Tuners as of version 4.5 does not read long term fuel trims or O2 sensors. I have been working to get that resolved but has taken longer than I would have hoped ... it runs great and moved 32-34 lbs per minute of airflow and manages to hold 21 lbs of boost. Update soon !

      @@350tiger can you use an older software version?

    • @350tiger
      @350tiger  4 года назад

      Yes B Bailey I can use an older version. I did have to upgrade a laptop as the one I received only had a 25 gig hard drive and the first windows update resulted in a full drive. I ordered a new laptop and that event had me update software. That process of updating did a firmware update to the MPVI 2 device and I am not certain it will still work with the earlier version software. Hoping to get back at it in the next couple of weeks.
