I recently unravelled a bunch of things I've made but never wear. It's a bit sad to watch all those hours of work just be undone, BUT actually those sweaters were just making me feel super guilty all the time. Making something new that I'll actually wear has been so rewarding and satisfying. Plus, my wallet is thanking me for not buying new yarn!
I love your channel so much and I only started watching about a day ago! I appreciate all crotchet and knitting RUclips accounts because they put so much effort into their videos because they are making something from scratch for their video! you guys are super talented! I can crotchet and knit aswell :)
I have never related more to a RUclipsr! Everytime I crochet, a hair ends up tangled in the stitches. I don't even know how it happens! I really enjoy your videos, please don't stop! 💜💜💜
My first crocheted sweater was super oversized but it fit me perfect when I made it but now I've lost weight and it became weird on me , I was thinking to unravel it and recrochet it but I was afraid and I felt like I'm gonna lose my first kid ( which is the sweater ) if I do but you gave me that push to come over my fears and recrochet it in a better way , thank you from Egypt 💕
This was really enjoyable - I did this recently too for the first time, so daunting but so worth it. I steamed the wool before re-knitting (my Nan used to do this) and it looked new with no kinks - just a thought. Your finished sweater looks awesome!
@@lovemesomeslippers So this is the gist of the method ruclips.net/video/Fqc0xGOI4bI/видео.html except I wound it around the legs of a chair that I'd laid on the floor, steamed over a pan of boiling water and then dried them on the radiator, then wound into balls. Takes a bit of work but I really enjoyed it and love reusing yarn!
What (clothing)size did you choose from the pattern to knit after? I usually go a size down in PetiteKnit but also want to use smaller needles than the pattern suggest so I’m a bit stumped on what size I should knit in and it fit so good on you!!!❤
I did the same thing with my first knitted sweater and one thing I'd do different if I ever find myself reknitting a piece again is to actually wash the yarn and hang it to dry. This way the yarn will no longer be wavy and it won't mess your tension when you block your piece again, which is a problem I had 😅 anyway I find your new sweater to be too cute to be true!! And I was actually considering undoing my first crocheted sweater and giving it a second life so, maybe... I'll keep you updated 😂
I was so immersed in the video (and my own knitting) that I almost reached for my measuring tape to lend it to you when you said you didn't have one 😂
Haha omg that’s so funny!
That’s super funny and pretty sweet actually 😂❤️
Lisa! So gorgeous, love that you took the time to make the piece as you love it 😍 the color blocking is so cute!
Thank you ❤️ so happy I took the time to remake it haha, I’m so tempted to unravel some other knits as well now

Yes so cool! Knits also aren’t fun if they don’t get worn, so good that you took the time to unravel them.

Hi! Do you recall the pattern name? Link aids it’s not there anymore. Thx
woah this is a really cool idea! i'm sure yours will come it to be very pretty :D

Oh that is actually so smart to steam it before re-knitting! Will definitely try that next time. And yes it is so worth it :)
Would you mind sharing details? Did you just make a hank and hang it? Or lay it out flat?

You're so awesome 💚💕
good job
Cant believe im on time
what yarn did you use for this project?? i love it! i’m allergic to wool so always looking for good chunkier yarns for projects like this :)
I used Drops Alpaca Silk and used 4 strands at the same time :)

Yes next time I will wash the yarn for sure. I yet have to block this piece so fingers crossed that it will be okay haha.
how many days did it take? the sweater ended up even more stunning ❤️❤️
The whole process (so including the unraveling) took me about 2 weeks but I did work on other projects during that time as well
What yarn did you use for the sweater? 🤗
I used 4 strands of Drops Alpaca Silk :)
