Yea, its a great story... keep in mind that plenty of kids have died by getting hit by front\side air bags.
They eventually changed the settings so that they don't deploy (or deploy softer?) when the weight on the front seat is lighter then a full sized person. The kid is real lucky...

Find me a business that has zero mark up on their product and I will find you a unicorn. Not trying to sound rude but that comment was just a tad offside.

+Slim mill On kuningas i know of no 7mph crash that would result in death. Not sure why the airbags went off.

+Luke V I work in collision repair and you're absolutely right. Many crashes people get injured and the bags don't go off, they're for last resort. If your airbags go off in a 7mph crash there's a serious problem, it's much more dangerous for them to go off and smash your glasses into your eyes than for them to not go off. Airbags are meant to save your life, nothing else.
If you would survive the crash, the bags likely aren't going to blow. If you're going to die from a crash they'll go off. And in my opinion they go off way too much.
They certainly weren't warranted in this case. Good info.

I am just shy of 6'6" first thing in the morning but throughout the course of the day I shrink about an inch and a half so I generally say I am 6 feet 5 inches.
