Thanks, I heard that there were shortcuts but I didn’t know how to open the shortcuts page. I wanted to add as well. For anyone just getting started the full version on the iPad is a lot cheaper than the pc version. I have ran DV on my MacBook Air as a daily and it works but for windows and linux I have ran into compatibility issues when importing some media. On the iPad everything has worked so far.
I have to commend you…this is the SINGLE ONLY VIDEO I HAVE EVER found that gives you what I would have to consider the ultimate power option within Davinci Resolve for ipad!!! Thank you, and I will let you know if I encounter installation issues. New subscriber.

@@Drewxcifer I have to be honest…I still need some tutorial in how to change this setting, and generally what all the settings in DR for iPad really do…if you are aware of any specific to adding these pages, please let me know. Yours is amazing, but I need a start to finish this is how you customize these keyboard shortcuts in DR for iPad. Thank you so much.

@@Drewxcifer absolutely. It is funny, because I went back to your video again on this. (The one here). And it totally showed me the section I needed. I must have missed it the first time! Love your stuff, and now have just one more burning question, because I think I am gonna make the switch to DR from FCPX, should I buy the DR keyboard (with the scroll wheel), or the smaller one that has fewer keys?
@@scottabergermd short answer: get the speed editor.
Long answer:
That fully depends on your workstation. Obviously the Resolve keyboard is bigger and can be used as a traditional keyboard however it’s more expensive and less portable. The speed editor is just that, it takes all of the Resolve only keys (omits the keyboard keys) and puts it on a portable console for a cheaper price and then you also need a regular keyboard at your workstation. I prefer the speed editor because if I am moving in between workstations or using Davinci Resolve on my ipad the speed editor makes it an easy and compact editing option that you can use anywhere in your home, on the road or even in a coffee shop. I use the keychain wireless keyboard in tandem with speed editor at my home editing station

Thanks... been avoiding the app because I was always confused where all the tools I use normally were... all of them were hidden... I don't know why the default isn't to just have all the different pages buttons just be there from the start so people can actually see what the app is capable of and what they can do.
Now I can actually use it for editing when I wanna be outside or away.

Have there been any updates as to whether or not the pages can be permanently added every time you open the app? I really don't want to have to attach a keyboard every single time I close then reopen Resolve...

Forgive me for being a bit bothered. I have watched a few videos explaining this. They all leave out the exact same crucial step. I can get to the Option command K. And I find the show page section. What I do not yet know is how do I make a hotkey assignment? It is good to know such a thing can be done but how is it done?

Any chance you could do a video on how to record a voice over track on Resolve for the iPad. For some reason I dont see that option anywhere, and the mixer doesnt open big enough to see any of the mic inputs.

@@Drewxcifer another question for you.. how do I see the 2 screens in the edit mode? Like the screens on the laptop version. I normally have 2 screens and the left screen is when I want to cut and chop my video, do the in and out, then drag to my time line after?

...but ...the downside, I have to bring my keyboard on all times so the page does show....everytime I restart resolve...I have to ask it to "sow page again"....is there a workaround so that I don't need to bring my keyboard on all times and to have the show page icons on the bottom of the screen at all times even if I reboot?
I haven't found a workaround for it yet unfortunately, definitely a drawback BUT not a deal breaker for me, I have a slim keyboard and its easy to transport.

After closing app, it resets to default screen, is there any way to permanently keep the screens on…?
It does that every time I close the program as well, its annoying but as of now I don't know a work around for it.

You’ll need a keyboard, I use a cheap $20 Logitech k380 keyboard and it works great!

Yes, I’m pretty sure if you download a Bluetooth Mac keyboard app on your phone you can do it.

If you have a phone you can download a bluetooth Mac keyboard app, pair that with your iPad and you are good to go

It's a cool thing for now, but it's a bug. Blackmagic is going to fix this in a future release.
You might be right buuut then again BMD is pretty good at listening to customers
@@Drewxcifer For sure, but that would be why they'd fix it. Having access to the other pages that aren't officially supported on iPad may cause crashes and other interface errors. They'll add other pages when they're ready
@@Gedaly I think you’re right that those other pages haven’t been properly optimized for the IPAD yet but I believe they won’t do away with them.

No it is optimized for M1 & M2 IPADS but I have. heard people getting it to work on older IPADS as well!

I think you are going to have to get a keyboard to do it. Since there isn’t a ‘cmd’ key on the iPad. I use a cheap Logitech k380 $20 keyboard with my iPad and it works perfectly.

I am not able to set short cut keys despite using bluetooth keyboard. When i click for example on fairlight page in show pages box and try to press any combination of keys for making short cuts nothing happens and the box remains empty which means I am not able to set short cut keys. Am i missing anything here
i clicked the cmd and k keys on my keyboard but nothing happens
You need to hit cmd +opt +k them that will bring the menu up.

ur out of focus. this has happened to me and I'm still trying to figure it out. especially with 2 people interview 1 on a video podcast.i use focus peaking but I hasn't punched to check critical focus like other youtobers have suggested. keep up the great job. you are a million miles ahead of me with this RUclips stuff I get so nervous in front of the camera way better behind it. I subbed can't wait for more. ps manual does work the best unless u have a a7siii which I do but I still feel comfortable to effort hopefully this next video we can knock it out
Unfortunately, I noticed the out of focus thing, My AF drifts a bit because my lighting is low key, making sure that isn't an issue going forward though. Thanks for watching and i'll be checking out your channel.

@@Drewxcifer Treat youtube like a search engine. Because it is. Nobody is going to type "The secret to unlock all pages..". The most people dont even know about this so they dont search "unlock pages" at all. So maybe something like "Davinci on iPad - Unlock full potential/pages" very simple, searchable. Thumbnail is the key after tho. Should be simple, clean, big enough, easy to understand whats in the video.. I dont see whats on your thumbnail and I am on big screen. So maybe you can even print screen the pages with your surprised face "photoshoped" above it and make it huge even for mobile users.
Just ask yourself..how do you decide what video you pick?
