Great analysis! One thing that I picked up on that I haven't heard a single person talk about-maybe its just a coincidence and not intentional. When Bo says "Finding that hole like I'm Stephen Hawking. Atticus Finch, Killing Mocking." HAWK(ing), FINCH, and MOCKING(bird) are all kinds of birds.

Also i the "I'm selling out" line from the intro ties into the hungry hungry hypocrite line from the chorus because before most artists make it big they are referred to as a "starving artist" but when they finally make it big people who followed their early work will call them a sellout because they usually make some kind of compromise to get signed

I will say, the part about the taco and Goliath, the taco is on the back of a truck (i.e. taco truck) and it gets eaten up by a big burger, which I took as some of the big burger companies (i.e. McDonald's, Burger King, etc.). I thought of it as saying the bigger food chains will eat up the taco trucks, or put them out of business, hence the chain restaurants being Goliath and them winning. That was what I got out of it. I love it when artists like Bo make songs that aren't really saying much and you can tell they just made them to have a bit of fun

This song was my first time hearing Bo when I was a wee 18 year old who was still learning to have a sense of humor. My closest friend at the time sent it to me, with the warning that it’s crude but worth it. The Oedipus line is the one that got me, since I obvi had to read that book in school. I was one of those easily offended activists in college, but the wordplay and Bo having an actual message in this song is what converted me to a fan and showed me he wasn’t just a douche trying to illicit shock. I mean, he was, but you can tell from the esé/essay line that he sees outside himself.

The Atticus Finch line is a double as it refers to Tim Minchin ( one of Beau’s major inspirations) in his role as Atticus Finch on Californication and his early body of work as a musical comedian. Which may also extend into the rape of his childhood in terms of critical thinking skills.

Dude....it probably sounds a bit melodramatic but this breakdown is legitimately amazing! I'm decent at catching bars but this is a different level. To be able to catch all of these on the first listen is elite.

Can't believe you didn't catch the Rocko's Modern Life bar mixed into the Goliath bar. "better let that rock go(Rocko) cause in Real Life Goliath wins" I think that was the only one I knew that you didn't point out. Amazing Breakdown of this Bar Factory of a song.
