Also, Arnold's character is the warden of a very large prison, who wears his uniform all the time, and Jackie Chan is a prisoner, it's not like he has a whole wardrobe of clothes to choose from. But, yes. They had a small but satisfying part in the movie.

I just watched this movie for the 10th time and still counting. It is a brilliant "steganography" I have never viewed a film this complex and yet humorous at the same time . Now I'm behaving like my grandchildren used to do at 3yrs. I rewind and watch this movie over and over again. NOW!!! Granny understands it's a good thing. You discover something new every time you watch. And Granny could not see what you saw at the time but Thanks to Zeus and Rush Hour I have seen the light. What LOVE!!!
Honestly, these people spent their money wisely, if they had had spent more on better writers and more realistic effects, no one would watch their movie, but 98 % of people here (me included) will watch it just to see Arnie and Jackie for a couple of minutes together.
This is not the first time seeing Jackie Chan & Arnold Schwarzenegger together in one film. The last time they were together is in "Around the World in 80 Days" where Arnold only had a minor role.
This movie came out in 2019 and was a collab between some Russian and Chinese companies (Russian directors and producers though) but I guess Lionsgate is rebranding it since I'm pretty sure Iron Mask isn't the original title. Both Jackie Chan and Arnold have a very small involvement and they mostly do their own thing while the plot of the movie goes in another direction (I'm trying to avoid writing spoilers). It isn't a terrible movie but it kinda feels like you wasted a couple of hours once you've seen it.
For anybody who's confused, this is "Viy 2: Journey to China" that was renamed "The Iron Mask" in the UK and now just "Iron Mask" for the US. It's a sequel to "Viy", called "Forbidden Empire/Kingdom." in the west. Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger are not the leads.

I am a sucker for this genre. East meets West in pseudo historical epic filled with fantasy, Magic and monsters were the good guys are utterly outmatched and outnumbered with seemingly insurmountable odds yet in the end we all know they will find a way to win. Love it.
This is like smashing together my favorite action figures together and making cheesy lines like "I will take over the world!"
