Christmas shop in Tiaro is an absolute blast. How they survive through the year is amazing to me but at Christmas time it is like its own mini wonderland. Everyone in Brissie should head the 2 and half hours up the highway and enjoy it. It's just fun.

The only reason I’ve ever heard for having Christmas in July is to have the whole hot Christmas dinner. December Christmas is too hot and our family do the cold seafood dinner.

The Blue Mountains are the perfect setting for Christmas in July - forget the ski fields - there are open fires, all the usual decorations, warm and friendly people, egg nog, fruit mince pies, roasts, crackers, Santa, carols and crazy jumpers! 🤗👍

I grew up in Australia, currently live in Canada, I have never heard of Christmas in July there. Some people in Canada do Christmas in July when it’s actually briefly warm and sunny.

We love your channel!! You need to try Christmas in July in Canberra! It is Sunday the 30th of July, 5:55pm and we are currently at 11.3 and it feels like 7.4!!
Walking around in our winter uniform of jeans boots and puffer while drinking hot fruity drinks and eating all different types of food can be fun!!! Also have a roast dinner with all of the trimmings at your favourite pub complete with open fire is heaven!! I think for some of us it is the guilt from our Scottish rellys when they have to have seafood on December 25th AND (my grandmother always brought this up) had to eat lunch knowing that people at the table had bare feet!!!
Enjoy your sunshine!!! I am a little jealous!!!

July is ideal for the full traditional Xmas feast as you can have a hot meal & still enjoy it without any feelings of being too full of food. I have enjoyed Xmas in colder settings in July.

Winter in Canada sucks ! The temperature can drop as low as -50 where I am in Ontario and the snow is a true pain in the ass. But Christmas is a great tradition, although I'd rather go to the beach and get wasted in the warm weather instead of freezing and drunk trying to warm up in front of a fire in Canada

SA has Christmas in July in many hotels, restaurants, clubs and private homes. It really is for the full on hot Christmas turkey and trimmings that just don't make the grade in Summer. As a child in the far north of SA my English parents always did the hot chicken/turkey or duck with all the roast veges and home made plum pudding and custard... just too much in over 40C weather. When we moved to Adelaide there was a change to salads, cold meats, pavs and icecream. After having had a couple of Christmas dinners in the UK I appreciate the Christmas in July with the full traditional festive meal.

Love Christmas in July. We go boating to south straddle with a large group of friends have a bon fire and then go for a full on Christmas dinner at a cafe, we do a large stealing secret Santa then head back to the beach for more Bonfire. You know about secret Santa?? It’s the cold that makes it real. Also no extended family just friends.

I think it's mostly a marketing thing for Hotels, restaurants and resorts (and market organisers) to increase their mid winter bookings and customers. For the average Aussie it's more so something you hear about or see advertised... but no one you know is actually having Xmas in July parties.

You know it's winter in Queensland when overnight temperatures hit + single digits Celsius , if it goes - degrees Celsius then you're either inland or at higher elevation . Christmas in July is not something I've ever heard of , I suspect it's a marketing exercise by retailers .

My Christmas is about celebrating the Birth of Christ, the Saviour of the world. As kids, we had all the decorations and lots of presents to unwrap. But as I grew up, it became clear to me that Jesus’ birthday had become too commercial, so I dumped it all and celebrate Him and only Him.

I have never celebrated or observed or acknowledged Christmas in July. I am 75 years old & 3rd generation Australian & proud of my Australianness. I love our climatic conditions & temperatures in December. I am not a transplanted or re-located European. I love the Christmas spirit, (peace on Earth & good will to all), but I don't believe the Jesus myth, he was no more the son of God (if there is such an entity), than I am. But hey, if you need it, enjoy it.
