  • After the semi-finals of the 200-meter freestyle in Tokyo, Federica Pellegrini accomplished something that no female swimmer in history had ever accomplished
    Federica Pellegrini is the ultimate demonstration of why it is important to use your talents. Federica's career points out truths of life itself. It's not just competitive results that matter, but the process and collaboration. Happiness caused as a result of deliberate effort spreads to close ones. It can also be shared with thousands of people. But above all, that new pain in, old pain out. Or in other words, your effort helps suffering. Grazie Fede.

    That 2021 200m Olympic final was the women's version of The Swim Race of the Century. Ledecky, Haughey, Titmus, Pellegrini, Oleksiak, Yang - an incredible field. Good thing Emma McKeon decided to sit that one out - they would've needed a ninth lane.

    What a role call of 21st century women's swimming is represented in this video. Pellegrini, Ledecky, Titmus, Franklin, Hoff, Hosszu, Potec, Manaudou, Adlington, McKeon, Sjostrom, Oleksiak, Haughey, Coventry, Leisel Jones, Cate Campbell. Any one of them would be worthy of a video like this, examining their careers.

    I like your work with the history aspect of swimming, but this video editing was exaggerated in visual effects. That "pixelization" doesn't work well with seeing swimmers from afar.

      I watched the video, hence I could ask about the sentence.
      But I don’t see any explanation about it. That sentence is just mentioned at the end of the video.
      Hence I asked the meaning of that sentence since I am interested.
      If you understood can you simply share your interpretation of it.
      I love all his videos, so I am not criticizing. I just cannot grab the meaning of a “effort that helps suffering”.

    • @marcopellegrini7
      @marcopellegrini7 2 года назад

      @@haleyguthrie3113 for sure I do not want to deny all the struggles that every champion did in their lives. However, we do not really know their lives. Phelps, struggled a lot for sure, but in races he basically always won, when he did not win he got second. That is why he is considered, correctly, the best swimmer of all times. I do not want to say that these achievements come without any struggle. However, Federica really failed in important events (as the video shows), but managed to rose again like a phenix. This is the meaning I tried to write in my comment 🙂

    She continue after being defeated for much more simple reasons: because in Italy she became a sort of caracter and in all the years before olympic games She has, sponsor payng, television clapping hands and gossip magazines talking about her actual and next love story.... life like that is quite easy while you are acting as a swimmer ( even knowing by yourself not being so)
