I subscribed to D+ for Marvel and Star Wars. I gave it up over a year ago. I can't remember where I stopped. After Obi?? definitely didn't watch Asshoka. Haven't watched Marvel series even longer.

And the irony will be they will not be even replace the old fanbase with a new one because younger consumers have wayyy too many options to sink their little bit of money into. The chances for the Star Wars IP to get any sort of Profitable Traction with younger consumer base is next to zero.

I’m one of ‘those’ guys: I grew up with Star Wars, and it was my #1 hobby for many, many years. I bought every EU novel, comic and video game. Posters, figures, toys, etc. Got my eldest son interested in it, and we watched every last episode of Clone Wars and Rebels together, twice over. But after TLJ I checked out. I came back briefly for Mando Seasons 1&2, but they’ve now permanently alienated me.
Now? I’m done. I’ve kept all my stuff from the OT, and the pre-Disney EU because I genuinely loved it. The tone is so different that it’s easy to write off Disney Star Wars as KK’s fanfic, and the only involvement I have with it any more is she schaudenfreude I get from content like this. I’m looking forward to Lucasfilm’s bankruptcy and dissolution. RIP Star Wars: 1977-2012.
And guess what will happen then? All of the OT,EU, Clone Wars stuff all us diehards own will skyrocket in value!!!! So we win and KK loses! I can't wait!👊

Disney’s brand suicide is monumental at this point.
What Silver said at 3:00 is where I've long been at. My brother has been playing Fallen Order and enjoying it. Maybe it's good. Don't know. Don't care. Mandalorian got a lot of praise and it was actually fun for the first few episodes. Then it got weird. I just don't care. Haven't for a long time. They could come out with riveting and compelling stories within that universe. I'm just tired with that universe. The last MCU film I saw? Endgame. Why? It's in the name. I could abide the Star Wars prequels as it showed how Luke's father was seduced by the Dark Side, enhancing the original story by showing what Luke was up against. But the Star Wars universe, in my mind, existed for the purpose of telling Luke's tale. That is the Endgame.
My favorite show is Breaking Bad and one of the things I appreciated most about the show was that it had a path in mind from the beginning that it stuck to. It didn't stretch itself to milk out seasons. It told its story and everyone moved on. I have heard almost nothing but good things about Better Call Saul, but to me, that narrative world exists to tell Walt's tale.
TL;DR Shit is stale. Out with the old, in with the new.

We have a better chance of Cavill buying TV/Movie rights to WarHammer and doing it right than Disney giving up Star Wars and admitting they failed. Iger is not going to own up to a failure.

Apathy is indeed he killer. I mean I didn't even bother to re subscribe to Disney plus because we all saw the trainwreck a long way back.
The major issue is that this fundamentally changes the nightsisters. They have nightbrothers who are subservient and used as breeders for the sisters of dathomir. This is also where maul and savage come from. This now calls into question of why would they need breeders if they can just manifest children?
It's their dream come true, a universe far, far away that has no men in it whatsoever.
Episode 3 wasn't as bad as I expected when it's on its own. But the bar is so low it's not even touching the floor but it is touching the earth's core

I searched "Acolyte is good" to see arguments from the other side and uhm...there isnt much.
It lacks any sort of flavor, however if they kept politics away it could be a mid show.
If you go by the merit of the show there isn't much. There is a mystery plot resolved in the 1st few scenes of the 1st episode. There are prisoners who take control of the ship just to take escape pods for no reason. Instead of you know the ship that can go to hyperspace. There are timing issues like they already got the prisoners rescued from escape pods and brought to corusant but Osha is still in the wreckage trying to survive and no one checked for the ship while rescuing the escape pods(makes you think what was the escape plan for the criminals) then they send help to Osha. There is mind reading introduced but the Korean Jedi never has any doubts that Osha is not guilty (of course she is not she was on a different planet the whole time). There is a whole spaceship of criminals who are at least at the level of Jedi killers because they need to be brought to corusant instead of being trialed at the place where they were caught but there are no guards on the ship. Osha is escaping from the Jedi who she claims she trusts almost killing herself. The mystery plot of the show is resolved entirely in a dream of the protagonist. It's as close as it gets to Osha telling the viewers what's happening without breaking the wall. And I think that's about it for literally episode 1 as I didn't watch more. This is without touching politics or even talking about star wars too much, it's dog even if you consider it a generic sci fi show.

Female Rick James is basically prototype Anakin, they are basically ripping off Lucas' idea of someone being born through the Force.
The only reason this is even on Disney + is that the CW looked at it and said, "Naw, bruh. It just isn't up to our standards."
Another thought... Are the studio's 'shorting' against their own projects and properties? It's easier to make a failure than a success.... especially with their current playbook.
So George Lucas is now Luke Skywalker as depicted in the last trilogy. A man who left and allowed evil to destroy everything.

It is what you thought was safe for 36 years then it became something else and it is to bad we loved it but 10 years into this gaslight experience the burn is gone and i feel a victory in how they had their damn way and lost again.
I think the prequels were fine they added to the series without shitting all over what came before which can't be said about Disney star wars, I remember reading the darth bane books and being like this awesome I think people forget how great the pre disney extended universe was and how it was considered canon until Disney came in and said money above all, now I only buy older books that have zero to do with disney thats it as far as star wars is concerned and I think it's sad all the old extended universe writers who were generally very good got kicked to the curb for what we have now

Im keeping my animated Clone Wars series, some parts of Rebels (is Darth Vader and Maul moments) probably the first season of Mando. All else shall be thrown into the fires of Mount Doom and forgotten. I won't even waste my time looking to trash talk about it.
