Was there that night! Horse the Band wasn't even on the bill. As soon as Zao was done the house lights went on and everyone began to leave. Show was over. After Zao had cleared their gear and almost everyone had left, these 5 or 6 guys come on stage with gear. One of the dudes was in a full alligator costume and one was in only tighty whitey underwear, haha. I had heard of them but had not seem em yet. We stuck around and watched from the balcony and they were absolutely killer. I was sold and they gained a new fan in me.
i disagree. bass tone is great. just sounds like shit on whatever device was picking up sound for this recording. as a touring musician for over ten years i can tell you that this bass tone definitely would have been monstrous at the show.
No one told the bassist he was out of tune and doesn't know what good tone is? Kiss and make up with Jesse. Go back to that old school Metal with insane bridges and breakdowns.
This guy was their bassist for this record only. And Jeff is a way better drummer than Jesse (and I say that with Jesse being one of my earliest influences), their new record is insane, The Fear is one of the best albums they've ever made, etc. If you think Zao has gotten "worse" you're insane.
I was at this show. Only time I ever saw them. I was definitely blown away.
The one downvote is from Jesse

Dang, HORSE the Band played after them. Must’ve been a good show.

While I agree Jeff is the better drummer, Jesse FIT Zao much much better. Big difference.
