I've seen some videos suggesting to flip the grease pan in the main chamber it'll distribute the hear more evenly. But great video

I’ve flipped mine over and left about an inch from firebox and added 2 gages and the heat distribution is even across the grill almost….no more the 5 degrees off

@@GunSmoke216 I went with the same…I also drilled holes in mine when I flipped it over to distribute the heat evenly
Did you use any sealer when you put yours together? I don't see a lot of smoking getting out besides where it's supposed to. I just ordered one of these but I was thinking about sealing it as I go too.
I did not. What I found was that when the cooker is cold, you’ll see small gaps in spots on the lid and firebox. But once it gets hot, the metal kinda conforms and lays flat to seal those gaps. Obviously metal is malleable and expands/contracts with hot and cold. Maybe I got lucky with mine. But I have very few leaks if any. Nothing wrong with adding some high temp seals if that’s what you want to do. It can only help. Good luck with yours. You’ll love it. 👍 thanks for watching!

The XD comes with Lava-Lok sealer.
@@buddycarroll9641 the cooking chamber and firebox did come with a pre installed gasket. Thanks for mentioning that.
