Loved the initial titles going away with the snap and with the workers😅 But seriously this is amazing. This is like the soccer scene, but Rarity KNOWS Applejack's hiding her jealousy. But AJ's also right and it's frustrating for her. Her deflecting the direct accusation marked her defeat. Nevertheless at the end she goes all out. (Maybe deep down Sunset is pleasently surprised)
I looked up the original transcript since I found Rollercoaster to be one of the more forgettable specials (also haven't seen it in 5 years). But I'm shocked at how better of a transition you made to having Applejack say Rarity isn't special. Not only that, both characters stay likeable in the situation because there's truth and denial to both of their viewpoints. You're honestly a really good writer. I'm sure there's restrictions on the original writers, like things probably can't get *too* heavy. But when MLP does go there, I always find it impactful. Like Moondancer expressing her bottled-up feelings to Twilight hits hard; especially since Kazumi's crying didn't sound cartoonish and more like actual grief. The tense moments between Sunset and SciTwi in Friendship Games and Sunset and Wallflower in Forgotten Friendship are pretty memorable moments to me as well because they're moments where Sunset kind of oversteps a boundary the series tries to keep behind. I guess having those restrictions helps make these moments more impactful in the end.

I think it fits better here tbh The fact that there was build up of them constantly interrupting each other would make anyone frustrated. And people say things they regret in the heat of the moment. The original sort of had this, but here Rarity pushes Applejack to that point, whereas in the original it feels (at least to me) like the line didn't have the proper setup
This was great!! The suspence of the music building up to "Your not special" was really chilling. The thing with the Element of 'Generosity' is that it can be manipulated to anothers own good. Especially with Rarity. Rarity loves to be the centre of attention and to be complimented, and that's what Vignette is doing. She keeps telling Rarity the things she wants to hear just for her own benefit. But I really like this! It makes more sense to me and seems more like a serious argument. Of course the truth can be heard to believe sometimes, but it's what Rarity needed at that time. Everyone really needs a down-to-earth friend like Applejack!
you should definitely rewrite the scene between rainbow dash and her parents; i feel like the episode wasn’t handled properly where rd established her boundaries to her parents and i personally think that you would do a great job at rewriting the scene!

I think it’s ironic that the definition of Vignettes name is to basically describe someone or thing by evoking emotions. I’d probably be as frustrated and jealous as AJ. Firstly for knowing the truth and no one caring about it, and secondly for knowing that someone is taking advantage of your best friend despite them not being able to see it. It’s a righteous type of jealousy. Can’t wait to see what you rewrite next homie.
I remember while watching this part that I had to replay a part where Rarity spits out an entire paragraph, which was nothing more than simple exposition. On the other hand I'd gladly rewatch this anytime
I hope that you keep up the great work because when I realised that its been 9 years since MLP EG started and 3 years since in ended abruptly, it suddenly brought back some heartbreak that I had buried deep down way back. So please give us more beautiful works like this.
This dialogue would likely be in the actual show if it had a 10+ age rating ngl, everytime it comes to these arguments its always something light than it would be irl.
