    I might need to talk to you next season about the draw part. Probably grip position? I can get a fade or rip it straight pretty much anytime. Getting a draw has been a skill I haven't mastered. If I can get that along backspin on the greens, I'd be pretty darn happy. Great stuff brother!

    How do you slow the upper body down from beating the hands? Focusing on keeping back to target?

    • @toddheugly
      @toddheugly  День назад

      @@DanielParlegreco Hi Daniel that is a great question. It is one of the difficult tasks that pros have mastered for the most part. They are truly never in a rush on the way down. If you could feel how soft their arms and wrists were as they “paused” in the transition you would be shocked.

    Todd do you consider this release a throw release or a roll release?

    • @toddheugly
      @toddheugly  8 часов назад

      @@DavidRenegar it’s actually a hybrid! Each golfer will feel something different. Some will feel they throw others roll. It is interesting it’s a 50/50 split on feel.

    Great stuff Todd! Noticed on the driver set up your wrist is cupped. Is that intentional or your natural set up?

    Out of curiosity could you push your lead hip towards the target at setup and hold it through the swing and still get the same results? As long as the weight is forward at impact would it matter if you bumped your hips at the top of your back swing?

    • @toddheugly
      @toddheugly  3 дня назад +1

      @@Jdb2013 you can but that gets into the SnT theory. IMHO and G.E.A.R.S. it will cost you distance.

    Did a range session and a full round using the release method and drills. I’m getting a lot of fat and thin shots when I try this method.

    • @robertcourt8593

      It does LOOK slow! I think a lot of us weekend warriors have misconceptions about how to generate speed. I definitely over rotate on the back swing because I physically can and my brain thinks that the more I turn and heave (for want of a better term) on it the harder I will hit it. The problem is I get all out of sequence and any extra energy I might create is lost and wasted at the wrong time.
      I've been doing tons of feet together shots recently because it stops me over swinging or spinning out too soon. It's hard to take it to the course though because it feels like such a short and easy swing.
