Glad to see a happy ending with the empty kayak. You did the right thing but I can't imagine stumbling upon that. Great trip and video brother. Growing the channel....excellent. to God be the glory. Blessings B
Sorry this is late. My wife and I just got back from a trip to the middle of the mitten in Michigan. I didnt get to fish but WOW. GMR looked excellent for wading!
@@thecreekcrawler The trip was great. We visited my last surviving Aunt on my mom's side. She and her daughter and son moved to Gladwin from Miles Michigan last year. He has a lake front home and my aunt and cousin live less than 5 minutes from him. Beautiful area. He formerly had a home right on the St. Joseph river that was very good fishing!
Wondershare filmora but I’m on the hunt for something else. For some reason I paid for the software and now get hit with copyright claims on the music I paid for.
@@thecreekcrawler man that’s a bummer. Everything thing about your videos is great and I really enjoy watching. It’s some top tier stuff. Thanks for making them.
Friends of ours were camping in the 1000 islands region and one night they did not pull their kayaks all the way up to the shore by their campsite and they floated off to Canada and washed up to some guys island weirdest part he knew of the place where they were purchased in their hometown Oak Orchard canoe and kayak and called them they called our friends and they were able to get them back, one was a decked out fishing kayak gear and all
PS, got wiped out today in Olcott, monsoon rains, no Salmon or Steely’s for us, but got the best wings I’ve ever had last night. Go “Duff’s Famous Wings” in Amherst, NY.
Enjoying your channel. In my 60s now, empty nest w/my wife. My fishing experience is paylake bobber as a teen, then basically panfish king (with the occasional bass) when the kids were young, before their own interests took up all our free time. Wading the shallows is not likely, due to line-of-duty crash that nearly took me out in the 90's that is now making walking a lot rougher. We're down really near to the far SW corner of Hamilton County. I've been building up my gear, and have started getting out the past couple of weeks. I'm REALLY wanting to fish the rivers more than park lakes. Do you know of any areas that are fairly accessible for an old guy with a cane (or rolling walker on bad days)? We are more than willing to take some road trips.
I would recommend some of the dams along the river. Some of them are pretty accessible for your needs. West Carrollton has a solid dam with a concrete ramp for folks to utilize!
Just do what you see go to your nearest creek and just try it. I went my first time this year and got my first one in one of the local creeks just get out there throw it into the deep holes and spots where you think something will be.
Yea man just watch a handful of my videos and implement some techniques around your area! Keep it simple and keep it moving! Don’t waste too much time if you’re not getting bites.

Man I thought another casualty on the river for sure. Especially when I found the life vest inside. Apparently she had a bad flip upstream.
@@thecreekcrawler Relieved that it worked out with just a scare
Have you ever gone Muskie fishing? The Muskie bite in Ohio is surprisingly good
I caught one before!! In Alum creek!! We do have some awesome musky fisheries
@@thecreekcrawler alum creek is my favorite. Going there next week

I thought you were going to "give 'em the beans" when you referenced my favorite podcaster Andrew Hayes and Tackle Talk!
I gave em the beans for sure.
Great video and great job! A really nice place to fish! Thanks for sharing another awesome adventure! Scary moment there for a bit!
Appreciate it David!! I really was getting worried about that kayak..
Where at in the Miami are you where it’s shallow enough to wade? I’m up by Sidney and it can be 6+ feet in areas.
Yea the lower stretches below vandalia are wadeable
Hey man, how do you usually work the trace in the river. Seems like you straight retrieve or burn it. Do you ever pause or twitch it?
I burn it more often than not. I will twitch it around cover but I really like covering shallow water riffles where the bass are feeding.
Love throwing the slow sink Trace in Bone. They smash on it. Thanks for taking us along, Brian.
The bone is absolute money!!
Hey I have a question for you. What software or app do you use for editing?
Wondershare filmora but I’m on the hunt for something else. For some reason I paid for the software and now get hit with copyright claims on the music I paid for.

Tight lines👊🏼
You too man!!
Daiwa is sounding a little dry some of the smoothest reels on the planet most of them ship with almost no grease at all
Yea I need to get my reels maintenanced!
I to live in Ohio never caught a small mouth
Oh man!! We have some excellent smallmouth fisheries here.
You’re a good dude CC, saugeye AND a Kit, who knew? Nice of guy to offer you a reward for his yak. lol.
These guys were pretty heavily under the influence.

You like the small mouth an I'm all about the walleye saugeye and sauger. Grear day on the water Crawler
Thanks man!! I haven’t caught many saugeye lately!! They do hold pretty good in this section though!
It ain't wrong if it works. Your setup I mean.
I think I’m gonna change my rod for the Trace. I need a bit more bend in the tip because of the trebles.
I sometimes tell people I see catfishing to just go bass fishing, and they'll catch some catfish. 😂 Especially around here. Lol
Dude I catch kitties almost every trip!!
I catch some nice ones on lipless cranks
I live in ohio and i have never caught a smallmouth bass is there any tips you could give me
