Luxury is relative. Sometimes, living in a community like this is more luxurious than having all the amenities at your fingertips. Less is more. I love the simple life.
We do too. We love the rural countryside more than the city. To us, rural feels more authentic. Not that it is, but we just like it. ❤️🇯🇲

What I absolutely love about Jamaica, we greet our neighbors, people usually have good relationships. In America if the people are Jamaicans , we greet each other. But neighborhoods here barely know one another most times or many times.

Absolutely love this! I grew up in the next village, went to school in Mannings Hill and walked through this area every weekday to get the bus from Guava Gap to get to school in Kingston etc. This is a huge part of my childhood and I haven’t been back since 2006 and it was just so wonderful seeing a part of my childhood home again!

That attractive yellow house at 21:00 is known a villa ronai which is operated by pulse model agency boss kingsley Cooper.....and the affluent japanese restaurant🎉 Majestic Japanes is located at the entrance gate just before the house

You are right it is a lovely well kept community of proud Jamaicans. i know because i live over there. We won the best kept community award for the last 3 years . That road takes you there. The apartment building is the US embassy staff residence formerly Crowne Plaza

That turn off of old stoney hill rd that ur on at 17:27 also takes u into sherbourne hgts also...i would imagine thats the main entrance to the community those ruch resid3nts would use to get into the community

13:00 second entry to Sherbourne. They are at Horse Stable right now.
Another entry to Sherbourne is the right turn off just before the Guava Gap turn.
You should have turned left to Old Golden Spring Road to get to Mount Pleasant

Tom, you need to get used to using your horn when proceeding around a steep corner by making the incoming vehicle or pedestrian aware. Try not to try so hard to video the children without parental consent, like the two babies coming from the shop.

Tom and Madge, from you turned right at the 200 year old Stony Hill Methodist Church you were travelling on Old Stony Hill Road. The community in the valley that you called a gap or canyon is named Orange Grove. It is an older upscale community and is worth a visit.
You can access it easily from Stony Hill Road. When you drive up from Manor Park and you come to the traffic light where Madge read the signs, go right onto Story Hill Road/Long Lane.. Halfway up Long Lane on the left is the turn to the Orange Grove and Banana Walk communities.
BTW the residence of the US ambassador is on Long Lane...on the righthand..
