You looking for the boots cracked me up. I’ve seen that “i lost something” view once or twice myself 😂 Love this boy and watching his ears as he tries to decide what he thinks is next.
I would love a video about how you train your horses, as in what their schedules are, and how you ensure they have the endurance and skill to do this. Like if you would like to see a video like that :)
Does it worry you with a horse like this that as you move up the levels you’re going to have a serious accident? He doesn’t seem to care about hanging front legs and I worry he’s at more of a risk than other horses of having a rotational 😳
KB Equestrian my trainer is actually one if her grooms so she told me when she is about to go to a show she will go into a stall and just sit there and nobody will talk to her because she knows she can die any moment while riding
@lauren Miller if that is true that is a very private thing for your friend to be sharing and fairly inappropriate as a professional. I’m sure if She felt like sharing information about how she emotionally processes things than she would. Maybe learn to keep your mouth closed when it comes to gossip instead of spreading it to random people on the web.
amechelb I agree, I might have just said it in a nicer way. That kind of information should not be shared on the internet. Lauren, you have been trusted with that information and I’m sure your trainer (and Elisa!) would be mortified to know you’ve shared that with anyone.
@kb equestrian honestly I would fire the groom if I was Elisa. She obviously can’t be trusted since she gossips behind her back. That’s just me though.
@@amechelb I agree with what you said. That was extremely private and people don’t understand the risks. It may not even be true and that’s why they haven’t replied. I honestly hope it’s not true so that personal information wasn’t shared.
First time I’ve watched a video like this. My daughter has been taking beginner lessons for the past year. We’re about ready to move up to her first leased horse and trying to decide which discipline for her to pursue. I’m leaning towards hunter/jumper but she wants eventing. Watching this video makes me want to puke but she’s like oh my gosh that looks so fun!
Sherri C yeah us equestrians love a good scare! That’s why we do what we do! I barrel race and when I told my mom she was so freaked out. But finally she agreed and every time I compete she is scared half to death.
Even if she wants to do eventing, she should start with jumping and dressage individually to get comfortable there before actually doing any eventing events. Also, hunter and jumper are often talked about together, but they are two different types of events. Hunter is more like dressage over fences, you're scored based on how correct your form is. Jumping tends to have more weird turns and is scored based on time and faults. The difference is interesting, but basically jumper courses are technically harder and hunter courses are designed to be easier to jump with the proper number of strides of the exact right length in between. Jumping right from not competing to eventing is a recipe for disaster though. Her trainer will know better than I do, but they will probably also suggest a smaller competition with a single phase instead of a full eventing competition to start out.
Sherin Novak it’s really expensive to have fences built! They have quite a few different ones but tables are a cheap and versatile option when it comes to course design! Not to mention the cool other fences like the hammock, open air oxer, trakehner, horse shoe, and many other fences! Not to mention they use the terrain a lot for their course, hard to tell on the camera but I’m not sure what else you were hoping for!
Probably the same reason horses wear them in stadium jumping... so that if they clip a fence with their legs they are aware of the mistake and will not(hopefully) do it again! I’m guessing Sharpie is a little young and confused about how high to keep his front legs over a jump... these help a lot with that! I know I’m not Elisa, but I hope this helped!
He thinks he’s doing the right thing by being quick. I just have to remind him to keep his shape. He was himself, he just sometimes tries too hard 🤦♀️
Elisa Wallace Eventing ...my bad. I was watching his ears and they were not always perky which I clearly misinterpreted. You rule, you rode, you knew! And, just for the record, Elisa, I have tremendous respect for you!
alex boies no worries. His ears were back because I had to rate him so much. He’s so eager he thinks he’s doing it right. I just have to ride him more to keep him in proper balance.
Dear Sharpie, thank you for the heart-attack over the corner. Sincerely, your loyal followers. **O.o dear lord camera-tilt anxiety**
I read this literally 1 second before it happened and I think I also had a stroke...
When was it?-

I know he messed up at that corner, but my goodness I love Sharpie’s big ole warhorse heart. Really is amazing he was at RRP just a year ago!
5:27 is where i almost threw up jeez louise Sharpie!

Whooooa, how you stayed on at the corner is beyond me!!! 🤯
The course designer obviously liked pumpkins 🎃
Really good!! I loved how you talked to your horse the whole time!!
I love how you are with all your horses. So soft and sweet♥♥♥ and so much patience. I really love it. Greetings from Amsterdam the Netherlands x Debby
I would SO try this out one day
Too bad I'm not at a confident jumper level... yet.
JustJaguar same but you will someday believe in yourself honey
@@saffronmccarthy1806 we're both gonna be awesome, I just know it
JustJaguar awww 🥰 that’s sweet and yes we will someday I want to be a jockey at the cheltenham
Saffron McCarthy cough cough lets not get into the racing industry
Riley Fanberg I am if u r from America it’s Wayyyyy different in England and Ireland
I know he made a mistake but I love seeing Sharpie’s runs. He is so brave and fast
Wow nice save on the corner! Yikes that will get your (and hopefully his) attention! And wow what a gallop on sharps!!
That intro though 😂 I love your channel so much! I am stalking your mustang series
Sharpie should be called Pegasus. He flies those jumps! No fear here! Yes he clipped the corner but he was beautiful!
Loving the music/intro/outro!
Ali Miller What is the intro remix called?
Apart from the part he almost tripped, that looks so FUN!!!! I wish I could ride a horse!..
My heart was in my throat a few times, especially that corner jump, but beautiful ride! Hope you gave your boy an extra hug for this.
So satisfying watching this. amazing 👍and thank you for the heart attack at the corner 😆
Thank you for showing more before and after the run video. Helps others to see and appreciate ALL that goes into your ride ❤️
I love the getting ready and the after care parts
Wow! That corner was hair raising and you stayed on. You must have nerves of steel and very good balance.
Think her balance is inherited from her Dad. I saw a video where he stuck on his horse like a limpet.
These most recent videos hurt my eyes and make me feel motion sick way more than the helmet cams have in the past

I have videos about that. You just have to watch them all ;)

So how do you know which jumps to go for and those to ignore?
They are marked with numbers and colors
You must have really good eq because it looked like you were coming off!
Wheres Johnny? Did you retire him?
Was there a woman taking his temperature afterwards. What’s the purpose of that, does it have to be between a certain number to pass the vet test.
For FEI competitions horses heart rate, breathing and temp are checked to make sure they recover properly.
What ever happened to Johnny?
Munson looks faster, but Sharpie doesn't waste any energy over the jumps.. Just enough height to get over, then settle back into the run.
Go sharpie go!
I'd love to see this from a viewer's angle too! Did anyone record it?
eileen2041 there was just the jump judge. I would like it to not happen!!!
What an unimaginative course; one stifle-whacking table after another.

Any particular reason you prefer using normal open front boots on XC? Just curious :)

ngl i thought the 2nd jump was a car 🤦🏼♀️
You're in Germany? What
I think he is backed off and getting easier to ride for sure!
I like all your video and i can wait to do it becuz i am doing horse riding lessons and i am 14 year old
What camera do you use ?
GoPro hero session 5
Thank you it’s nice and clear
This is in no way a critique, maybe a question for your FAQ Friday. Was Sharpie himself for this particular event?
He thinks he’s doing the right thing by being quick. I just have to remind him to keep his shape. He was himself, he just sometimes tries too hard 🤦♀️
@@WallaceEventing LOL!! He always seems like an honest fellow, even if he makes things harder on himself at times. And you. ;)
Why go over if through the top *might* be a faster option? Lol Talk about a heart attack.
Oh Sharpie! Nice save there. Turned out well otherwise.
i love yor horse
Sharpie seemed a bit off today... Little lethargic. And OMG that one jump...yikes I almost had a cow! Glad that one is over! Thanks!
He was not lethargic at all. If anything he was over exuberant by wanting to be flat and fast.
Elisa Wallace Eventing ...my bad. I was watching his ears and they were not always perky which I clearly misinterpreted. You rule, you rode, you knew! And, just for the record, Elisa, I have tremendous respect for you!
