On the flip side having almost full power at ob6 is really good in my opinion, especially if you are low spender because you’re not losing much compared to people who whaled. I think this is a good move for a limited items because it doesn’t create a wide gap between. Spenders and doesn’t make this game feel like you are obligated to pay more to make the weapon worth pulling for.

Agree with you in recommendation for new players who cannot pass most of the main content. It will depend on what your account is lacking. They only increased 100% on ob10 cause she gets mid m atk up. Clouds on ob 10 increased 130% so I think it’s fair. Tifa so far only has one elemental buff weapon so yes the moment she gets more this will fall but the same can be said about cloud (whenever he gets regular banner lol). I think the intent for these weapons is to complement the builds and not being evaluated as dps. For me, given that I have protectors sephi blade ob10 it made complete sense to go deep on tifa and aerith. Not all content will allow for double dps and this is when these weapons shine, to support your dps who can do the most elemental damage. In fact with guide gloves tifa now is versatile for non elemental damage. If you are not lucky enough to have certain elements you can now bring her to any team.Obviously cloud too with the fixed damage. To me this is more about complementing rather than dps and both will do a good job supporting when they are not the actual dps. For my account tifa can now support my ice and earth sephi. Sephi can support my Fire and Water tifa. Great synergy. Just need a lighting and wind (magic regular banner) and I am complete. For physical cloud is my only dps with tifa behind, so I will need to build those in the future.
I have no good MATK Non-Elemental character, so I am going for OB6 Tifa's weapon (no plans to get her weapon higher than that thou). And I agree that the duration of the buff is too short, and it is hard to give Tifa as a DPS the buff/debuff extension to make it longer, but a good solution is to use Tifa's Ultimate Leather Gloves to extend her buff by 30 seconds, which helps a lot! I think there is a good chance that Tifa's Bahamut gloves are a part 1 of a 2 part set. Like her water set and her non elemental phy set. So I would rank Aerith 1st, Tifa 2nd, and then Cloud 3rd.
Though personally I would still like to get her costume JUST for the fact that my account lacks a magic Fire and Water DPS. It’s not arcanum, but it’s still a great boost to her stats and her dps. So long as I get semi lucky with stamps, I can get her costume and that means 4 cards for my anniversary pulls… yeah I wasn’t as prepared as I should’ve been. (Also magic electric I guess even if her aoe Lightning is the only thing I could use.)
Thank you for this! I am actually in the category of people who’s on the fence and trying to decide whether to pull a second page on her or second page on Aerith. I didn’t have good stamp luck and don’t have a lot of crystals left so I only have enough left for one page and trying to decide whether to spend it on Aerith or Tifa. It’s kind of hard to decide because I think some people were raving about Tifa because it’s Tifa and the opinion may be coloured. The problem is I only have OB1 on Aerith after one page but have OB3 (almost OB4 with parts) on Tifa after one page (I am f2p). I want to make Aerith my healer though and feel like her weapon can be used in more situations so I am still not sure….maybe I can wait for parts for Tifa and pull an entire page on Aerith? Or just pull one extra guaranteed copy one second page for Tifa and use parts later? I am still torn. Re her costume, I think it looked alright but I think it looks better on the concept art 2D than 3D. Tends to happen to a lot of costume in the game.
@@azurelleb normally, I would lean toward Aerith, based on what your account likely has; however, I think both weapons benefit greatly from OB6 and so I would lean toward Tifa bc you are much closer. Just my two cents. I'm glad I was able to at least offer maybe another perspective for you!
Thanks for the great review. Glad I'm not the only one who thought Tifa's costume looks...not great. I also wasn't sure whether to pull on Tifa's or Cloud's banner (already pulled on Aerith, but was waiting to see if Tifa's was going to be any good). Haha, I love the disclaimer at the beginning of the video where you're trying to come from an angle where you're neither "Not pulling" nor "Pull for Tifa" and I actually quite agree with a quite a lot from your viewpoints and perspectives! For one, I didn't even really think about off-hand weapons like "Feathered Gloves" being "better alternatives" for elemental builds, so that's a fair point! Yeah I can see if Tifa starts getting a lot of elemental weapons to supplement her other elemental builds the B.Fangs could fall to wayside... That being said however, we have 6 elements currently in the game, and it's highly unlikely she'll get all elements anytime soon, so this is very likely to be her "go-to" off-hand weapon in nearly all magical builds (I mean it certainly is for her Fire and Lightning Magic builds right now) for sometime I'd imagine. Also unlike Yuffie (my personal gripe), Tifa does bring something completely new to the table in an AoE MATK buff for the team, which is cool and versatile. I expect we'll get another MATK party or duo buff (like Yuffie's Artic Star) sometime in the future but even if that's the case I still don't see this weapon not being a big boon to Magic Tifa builds for awhile. I kinda look at this like Cloud's MH weapon, in that it's one of his best off-hand weapons, even better than B.Sword in some cases! Regardless, I totally get how you feel with regards to being disappointed. Like I said previously, Yuffie's weapon was a slight disappointment to me. I'll say it's a bit worse here since it's the "last weapon" and you kind almost expect the last weapons to be the wildest, haha. At least that has sort of been the case for just about every limited banner up until this point that has had multiple parts (FF9 was Seph, Half Anni was Zack+Seph, MH with Tifa+Aerith) Echoing @charoenwat in the comments, I do agree that the weapon not getting such a big power spike at OB10 is a nice change of pace to something like Aerith's B.Rod where getting the thing to OB10 puts you a cut above everyone else, lol. Even though I planned to skip this banner regardless, I was still afraid that pushing weapons to OB10 would be a new trend, heh. I also pretty much agree with how you rank them on a "general scale" b/c at the end of the day these recent events we've been getting are made to show off some of these Anniversary weapons, like Battle Ranking did for Cloud and Yuffie, we're seeing the same thing for Tifa and Aerith (despite PDEF buff or Esuna-all not mattering much here)... Last thing I'll say for now is, I actually think Cait's weapon is perfect for him. You seem to have a gripe about the 1000% damage and it not having the increased damage on stagger. I think the damage on the ult weapons (UW's) are nice but it's the R.Abilities (stats) they bring along with their utility from the C.Ability that I'm really looking at. While I don't have the weapon, I think a 20 second team Haste (twice a battle) is better than a [Very High] damage increase Seph gets from his UW, at least until Haste starts becoming readily available. I also don't think a damage increase on stagger only for the character who's UW is equpped is better than the ATB increase for the entire team, at least for Cait. As you mentioned Cait is more utility than damage as his only viable damage build is Crit Cait and even then it gets nerfed all the time in ranking because it's very good, haha. So while I'm not a cait main, I personally would like the utility over personal damage given his role. Cheers!
Thank you for understanding the perspective I was taking for this video. Like SERIOUSLY, THANK YOU!!! I've gotten a lot of pushback from people that seemed to miss the part where I more or less explained that I was going to be critical of this to help people who are facing tough decisions. As always, some of my analysis can be legitimately argued about, and I am always fine with this. But I truly don't hate the weapon! I just didn't want to sit here and say "Ahh yess, another must pull! We all need all of these, and this is the best one!" (4x in a row as these banners release) And you make great points about the sub weapon. Butttttt, they like to feature Tifa often, so I wouldn't be surprised if a second one is added in the near future. And then there is one less easy slot in for this weapon. I guess my take on that part was based on overall longevity of the weapon as a main/offhand. Not to mention that cloud and yuffie have a more biased phys elemental kit and tifa is now split down the middle. (Wind and Ice are patk for her). Last thing I want to thank you for is your thoughts on Cait! Haven't seen many of those. And my main argument is I like cohesiveness. And I like it pure lol. The dmg thing is small potatoes, but I'm human and therefore biased! I WANT AN AOE HEAL FFS!!!! :) :) ;)

I'm one of the people that pulled for Tifa because it's Tifa. Also, I don't have a good Vincent for NE damage so I needed this banner to be useful for the guild battle anyway.

Well Nightlight I have Tifa ,Aerith, Sephiroth and she has 9.4k m.atk even if used 1 item with HP and buff/debuff extension R.ability. and all gear i use are only at OB7-OB8. Her using that ability every turn means u can keep Sephiroth or Vincent's 4arrow m.atk boost literally whole time.
With the way the game is panning out I think its moving more and more towards 2 DPS and 1 healer/debuffer IE all the swiss army weapons She's simply built to be the second DPS in non elemental magic 2 DPS setup, and also take the buffer role. In this way Aerith can mainhand her weapon to give both DPS magic attack up R ability and the second DPS and her can swing away. (this is also how they are going to try and sell you a second arcanum for each element) Im expecting more of this for every element over time I feel. Of course we are already at this point for ranking/guild battles, I feel like even tower/ Ex summons are going to start being built like this soon enough. (I mean with the SHiva Ramuh coming up they definately want you to have 1 DPS for each element) I do agree with you overall though in that I feel she's built SPECIFICALLY for that Niche (a 2nd DPS in non elemental magic teams, maybe the haste will be nice for her fire magic builds for ranking/fast paced battles but those are the 2 scenarios for this weapon.)
the only thing i agree with is baha cloud being best for newer players cuz of the flat damage. to each their own 👍appreciate you emphasizing this is your opinion 😅 we all have our own understanding of applibot’s game design philosophy and our valuation of the weapons and outfits are based on that

I agree with most of what you say except clouds outfit looking good. He looks like batman, and not the cool batman...the George Clooney batman. I'm sure some people like the dominatrix look of Tifa's outfit and I sort of like it, but it falls in 3rd place behind Aerith in 2nd and Yuffie in 1st for me. I caved and pulled for Aerith before Tifa released, the weapon was just that good. Although I would really like more of Tifas weapon (even just as a sub weapon, I only have a 5* and didn't pull on the zack/seph 1/2 anni banner), I'm going to struggle to get enough crystals to get Tifa's outfit. Still, can't complain, as Aeriths weapon seems the best for my account, so happy I got it to ob6.
I disagree with almost everything here lol: 1- the outfit is awesome 2- the matk issue is not an issue you have haste plus aerith gives you free atb so there is no issue at all 3- all anniversary weapons are made f2p friendly and don’t have much difference from ob6 and ob 10 and thank you applybot, even if I have all ob 10 reducing the gap from ob6 to ob 10 is better for all the community. If the gap between ob6 and ob 10 was huge we were complaining p2w win stuff. I am the first hard complainer but there are no good points for me in this video sorry bro ❤ plus the second hand elementary we only have 3 in the game right now wind seph water tifa and water Glenn, we don’t even know when there will be more if we will even have. Another point we will have shield that will reduce or nullify fixed dmg and cloud weap does no dmg compared others phys non elemental dmg. Imho the only must pull are tifa because of matk all we don’t have plus haste plus dmg and aerith second cloud third and yuffie skippable

I think you make solid points; however, keep in mind that I was trying to be critical of this weapon for this review because I find it very easy to point out how great any one of the anniversary weapons are, and my humble opinion is just that this is not as valuable as some others "overall". I was so ready to not pull Tifa. Honestly man. I main, Cloud, Aerith/Matt and Seph. I have Tifa well built with her Guide Gloves costume and OB10, I also have her Lightning magic Arc from MH costume and Kirin gloves OB7 with OB10 Crystal Gloves. I was expecting this to be the Matk version of Cloud’s weapon.. it wasthe MATK -all buff that stacks to high that got me. As luck would have it, I went two pages and got OB8. Weapon parts took it to OB9, and I did the 3K paid pack to try my luck at a OB10 copy, and got it! Aerith’s banner is what I wanted, but the luck was not with me 😢. Halfway through her second stamp page.. OB2.

Finally dropped 160k Cloud Tifa and Aerith all OB10. I only had to go into EX for cloud. Yuffie OB6 with a couple pulls left on the card I think I can get before the end of event. Got genji blade but my Tifa pulls were rapid. card 1 and 2 cleared in 9 pulls. I love the build her weapon is crazy stupid and I now have a unit to cover both Phys and Magic non elemental OB10 Bahamut Fangs OB10 Guide Gloves. Tifa is missing one good MATK weapon with a high MATK stat so we are having to sacrifice a slot to build her to max. The weapon to pair with the claws doesnt exist yet. The long burn paid off for me, abstaining from going crazy on banners along the way. I fear they've figured out a good drain in that I suspect ultimate weapons are now going to feature on all cards going forward. Thats going to push us to draw.
@@sumirsookdeo9443 those characters can work, but Tifa and Clouds anniversary weapons are opposites, which makes pairing them awkward. OB6 is strong on all of the weapons, yes!
The ob6 Tifa is made so, I believe, because it is blatantly predatory already that it is hands down the best weapon for current guild battle ranking, so ob6 is what you get with guaranteed copies (4 from pulling, 2 from 2x 5k red crystals for 2 and 4 copies dropped). ;) cl Comparing between the weapons, this comparison is not valid, as it is ranked in a vaccuum. The ranking is based on what content one wishes to clear and at which stage each account is. For example, “wanted to clear previous ranking event? Cloud and Yuffie would be very good. Jenova B100? Same, and Aerith’s as well. Want to score big on guild battle? Tifa hands down… Starter Account? Cloud. Whale account? Yuffie and Tifa are more important than the other two… etc… Granted, Cloud is the de facto best for F2P, especially new accounts as it cheeses fights you otherwise would not be able to, so by general consensus, it will be the one to go if one has to choose. Tifa is actually the strongest weapon of the bunch, because it gives her haste like Cloud’s does, but it also everyone else matk buff, so your power level increases exponentially, and in this guild battle in particular it is predatory how much it is “fit for purpose“ for it. Aerith’s weapon is actually very important for whales, less so for F2P as the benefits from it shine in accounts that can utilise them to full extent. For F2P it is the best passive stat stick in the game, because Matt is the better healer, especially for F2P or newer accounts without limited Kamura (which we cannot assume all people have access to). As the account gets stronger it is more and more powerful to actually make use of each of its utility functions. Same with a Yuffie… this one especially is a whale weapon as it is meant for work compression in high end fights that your can use your DPS to buff the team while not losing DPS or wasting a slot for buffs when you do not need a healer as you go for top ten ranking. As such, there is no “better worse” here… there is “what is our target, and what is our budget so we dress for the occasion” ;) For your account, judging from what I have seen, Cloud and Tifa, then Aerith, lastly Yuffie. The first two as you can put them in immediate use.
PS: Tifa’s weapon time does not matter as you constantly re-apply it. You DPS in lower than 8 seconds and you perennially maintain it. This weapon makes the mage team in ranking to constantly maintain their high matk buff. And this is what you get from ob10, the time to maintain it whilst doing damage, and land Feather Gloves debuff when needed without breaking the buff. ;) And THIS is where ob10 shines… 7-8 seconds makes the difference between when to land the attack to maintain the buff ;)

@@Janille_here is the sad reality of this game: almost no weapon is. ;) most weapons are tailor made for the specific content at hand, then 9/10 times, they relegate to stat sticks at best, benchwarmers at worst. The good thing about the weapons like this one, is that they actually will be used as stat sticks (especially Aerith’s, as we almost always used a party stick on our healer, this time said party stick is also giving heal to our healer). But don’t kid ourselves with believing that the weapons don’t have “soft rotation”, the content to face is made specifically so that we rotate weapons constantly. That said, aoe matk high is still aoe matk high… and this thing will be constantly used whenever we need that ability, as it is paired with self haste so if Tifa is doing support role, she will have ample time to land the rest of the debuffs and maintain the party buff.

@@Janille_and this is why my policy is: if you are not willing to go for current ranking/event to be the “top”, it doesn’t matter anyway, as you will eventually clear all other content at hand. So, there is no “best for long term” as there is no long term that is valid, as “long term”. Whale accounts will go for solo crash/top 10 ranking and they will pull for whatever is currently needed. F2P accounts won’t get there anyway, but the rest of the content is almost always something you will be able to clear regardless, so it doesn’t matter, just get the thing you like more. ;)
I mean the weapon doesnt really need high in increase because its a move youl be constantly using so in 2 uses you have the team maxed and its no element at high damage, but that's my take on it
Out of the 4 yuffie actually has the best secondary weapon to make her kit a Powerhouse....the artic star which gives her patk high ...doesn't need anything else from her and you would use the same backend Weapons you would give to cloud.....I said all that but im going after tifa only
I appreciate the hot take and I actually agree with you 100%. The weapon certainly isn't bad, but it seems to be the weakest of the four. Pros: 1. This weapon is excellent in the upcoming guild battle. 2. This weapon is probably BiS in the offhand for magical Lightning and Fire builds. 3. Haste is really strong, even only with one cast. 4. OB6 capabilities aren't far off from OB10. and Cons: 1. Unless your healer is a hybrid magical DPS, you're probably only getting 2 relevant characters buffed with each cast. Perhaps using this weapon on healer Tifa should be explored... 2. If you are running this weapon in the offhand and spamming it with your ATB, you aren't spending ATB using your elemental weapon. Where, on the otherhand with Cloud, you are really only looking to cast it the one time if you are running it in the offhand. 3. The 1,100%, while nothing to scoff at, seems like it could be higher. Even with it buffing her MATK... I think applibot knows that Tifa fanboys will pull for her, regardless of what her kit does, which likely isn't doing her any favors. I even think Yuffie's kit is slightly stronger than Tifa's, if only because when you run it next to Clouds new kit, they are synergizing each other with DPS weapons that +PATK (all). In my opinion, the real winner on the Tifa banner is Cait Sith. Now, that's a kitty that hasn't been flown out, blown out, and thrown out. 😂 Fortunately for me, the only magical arcanum I have for Tifa is her Water one. I don't think I'd ever find myself running Bahamut Gloves over the Feathered Gloves, so this banner is the only one of the four I'm skipping. So far, I've got: Cloud's Weapon OB10 Aerith's Weapon OB10 Yuffie's Weapon OB7 Seph's UW

@@Nitelight9 Good luck hitting the OB6! The increased rates due to being the only featured standard rate weapons have been fantastic. Admittedly, I had to pick up 4 of the largest special crystal bundles, but I haven't had to go past page 2 for any of the banners. Probably used 45k blue crystals and 40k red crystals for everything.
@@mozart27th It's a fine weapon. I can appreciate how good the OB6 is for what it is, it just seems like they did the OB10 dirty. But yeah, thirsty Tifa simps are gonna simp. I actually do like the aesthetic of the costume, but it has less purple than the other 3. Definitely needs more purple.
After seeing Tifa in action alongside Sephiroth, I do believe her weapon is a lot better than I initially gave it credit for. Definitely better than Yuffie's, but I still think Cloud's and Aerith's are largely better at OB10.
Hey all. I agree with a lot of your assessment for Tifa, I said this in the discord but i'll add it here as well. Tifa's weapon works quite well in magic oriented teams as a SUB dps where your main DPS initially buff themselves, this may sound rare but thanks to ultimate weapons its more and more common. For this guild battle, I have found that I use Sephiroth and Genji Blade, now the advantage I have is that, Genji's 4th tier MATK boost lasts over twice as long now because of Tifa regularly using Bahamut Talons, and I theorise it would approach 3 times as long instead of twice if you had TIfa's Feathered outfit equipped. Tifa's weapon is unconventional as all hell, however the times it works, it works extremely well and that is amazing

the mid/high is not a prob, she was intended to be run with aerith who puts up the mid, then tifa does high first cast.. wifu synergy

Thank you for this! I am actually in the category of people who’s on the fence and trying to decide whether to pull a second page on her or second page on Aerith. I didn’t have good stamp luck and don’t have a lot of crystals left so I only have enough left for one page and trying to decide whether to spend it on Aerith or Tifa. It’s kind of hard to decide because I think some people were raving about Tifa because it’s Tifa and the opinion may be coloured. The problem is I only have OB1 on Aerith after one page but have OB3 (almost OB4 with parts) on Tifa after one page (I am f2p). I want to make Aerith my healer though and feel like her weapon can be used in more situations so I am still not sure….maybe I can wait for parts for Tifa and pull an entire page on Aerith? Or just pull one extra guaranteed copy one second page for Tifa and use parts later? I am still torn. Re her costume, I think it looked alright but I think it looks better on the concept art 2D than 3D. Tends to happen to a lot of costume in the game.
@@azurelleb normally, I would lean toward Aerith, based on what your account likely has; however, I think both weapons benefit greatly from OB6 and so I would lean toward Tifa bc you are much closer. Just my two cents. I'm glad I was able to at least offer maybe another perspective for you!
Thanks for the great review. Glad I'm not the only one who thought Tifa's costume looks...not great. I also wasn't sure whether to pull on Tifa's or Cloud's banner (already pulled on Aerith, but was waiting to see if Tifa's was going to be any good). Haha, I love the disclaimer at the beginning of the video where you're trying to come from an angle where you're neither "Not pulling" nor "Pull for Tifa" and I actually quite agree with a quite a lot from your viewpoints and perspectives!
For one, I didn't even really think about off-hand weapons like "Feathered Gloves" being "better alternatives" for elemental builds, so that's a fair point! Yeah I can see if Tifa starts getting a lot of elemental weapons to supplement her other elemental builds the B.Fangs could fall to wayside... That being said however, we have 6 elements currently in the game, and it's highly unlikely she'll get all elements anytime soon, so this is very likely to be her "go-to" off-hand weapon in nearly all magical builds (I mean it certainly is for her Fire and Lightning Magic builds right now) for sometime I'd imagine. Also unlike Yuffie (my personal gripe), Tifa does bring something completely new to the table in an AoE MATK buff for the team, which is cool and versatile. I expect we'll get another MATK party or duo buff (like Yuffie's Artic Star) sometime in the future but even if that's the case I still don't see this weapon not being a big boon to Magic Tifa builds for awhile. I kinda look at this like Cloud's MH weapon, in that it's one of his best off-hand weapons, even better than B.Sword in some cases!
Regardless, I totally get how you feel with regards to being disappointed. Like I said previously, Yuffie's weapon was a slight disappointment to me. I'll say it's a bit worse here since it's the "last weapon" and you kind almost expect the last weapons to be the wildest, haha. At least that has sort of been the case for just about every limited banner up until this point that has had multiple parts (FF9 was Seph, Half Anni was Zack+Seph, MH with Tifa+Aerith)
Echoing @charoenwat in the comments, I do agree that the weapon not getting such a big power spike at OB10 is a nice change of pace to something like Aerith's B.Rod where getting the thing to OB10 puts you a cut above everyone else, lol. Even though I planned to skip this banner regardless, I was still afraid that pushing weapons to OB10 would be a new trend, heh.
I also pretty much agree with how you rank them on a "general scale" b/c at the end of the day these recent events we've been getting are made to show off some of these Anniversary weapons, like Battle Ranking did for Cloud and Yuffie, we're seeing the same thing for Tifa and Aerith (despite PDEF buff or Esuna-all not mattering much here)...
Last thing I'll say for now is, I actually think Cait's weapon is perfect for him. You seem to have a gripe about the 1000% damage and it not having the increased damage on stagger. I think the damage on the ult weapons (UW's) are nice but it's the R.Abilities (stats) they bring along with their utility from the C.Ability that I'm really looking at. While I don't have the weapon, I think a 20 second team Haste (twice a battle) is better than a [Very High] damage increase Seph gets from his UW, at least until Haste starts becoming readily available. I also don't think a damage increase on stagger only for the character who's UW is equpped is better than the ATB increase for the entire team, at least for Cait. As you mentioned Cait is more utility than damage as his only viable damage build is Crit Cait and even then it gets nerfed all the time in ranking because it's very good, haha. So while I'm not a cait main, I personally would like the utility over personal damage given his role. Cheers!
Thank you for understanding the perspective I was taking for this video. Like SERIOUSLY, THANK YOU!!! I've gotten a lot of pushback from people that seemed to miss the part where I more or less explained that I was going to be critical of this to help people who are facing tough decisions. As always, some of my analysis can be legitimately argued about, and I am always fine with this. But I truly don't hate the weapon! I just didn't want to sit here and say "Ahh yess, another must pull! We all need all of these, and this is the best one!" (4x in a row as these banners release)
And you make great points about the sub weapon. Butttttt, they like to feature Tifa often, so I wouldn't be surprised if a second one is added in the near future. And then there is one less easy slot in for this weapon. I guess my take on that part was based on overall longevity of the weapon as a main/offhand. Not to mention that cloud and yuffie have a more biased phys elemental kit and tifa is now split down the middle. (Wind and Ice are patk for her).
Last thing I want to thank you for is your thoughts on Cait! Haven't seen many of those. And my main argument is I like cohesiveness. And I like it pure lol. The dmg thing is small potatoes, but I'm human and therefore biased! I WANT AN AOE HEAL FFS!!!! :) :) ;)

Well Nightlight I have Tifa ,Aerith, Sephiroth and she has 9.4k m.atk even if used 1 item with HP and buff/debuff extension R.ability. and all gear i use are only at OB7-OB8.
Her using that ability every turn means u can keep Sephiroth or Vincent's 4arrow m.atk boost literally whole time.

With the way the game is panning out I think its moving more and more towards 2 DPS and 1 healer/debuffer
IE all the swiss army weapons
She's simply built to be the second DPS in non elemental magic 2 DPS setup, and also take the buffer role. In this way Aerith can mainhand her weapon to give both DPS magic attack up R ability and the second DPS and her can swing away.
(this is also how they are going to try and sell you a second arcanum for each element)
Im expecting more of this for every element over time I feel.
Of course we are already at this point for ranking/guild battles, I feel like even tower/ Ex summons are going to start being built like this soon enough. (I mean with the SHiva Ramuh coming up they definately want you to have 1 DPS for each element)
I do agree with you overall though in that I feel she's built SPECIFICALLY for that Niche (a 2nd DPS in non elemental magic teams, maybe the haste will be nice for her fire magic builds for ranking/fast paced battles but those are the 2 scenarios for this weapon.)

I agree with most of what you say except clouds outfit looking good. He looks like batman, and not the cool batman...the George Clooney batman. I'm sure some people like the dominatrix look of Tifa's outfit and I sort of like it, but it falls in 3rd place behind Aerith in 2nd and Yuffie in 1st for me. I caved and pulled for Aerith before Tifa released, the weapon was just that good. Although I would really like more of Tifas weapon (even just as a sub weapon, I only have a 5* and didn't pull on the zack/seph 1/2 anni banner), I'm going to struggle to get enough crystals to get Tifa's outfit. Still, can't complain, as Aeriths weapon seems the best for my account, so happy I got it to ob6.

I disagree with almost everything here lol: 1- the outfit is awesome 2- the matk issue is not an issue you have haste plus aerith gives you free atb so there is no issue at all 3- all anniversary weapons are made f2p friendly and don’t have much difference from ob6 and ob 10 and thank you applybot, even if I have all ob 10 reducing the gap from ob6 to ob 10 is better for all the community. If the gap between ob6 and ob 10 was huge we were complaining p2w win stuff. I am the first hard complainer but there are no good points for me in this video sorry bro ❤ plus the second hand elementary we only have 3 in the game right now wind seph water tifa and water Glenn, we don’t even know when there will be more if we will even have. I was so ready to not pull Tifa. Honestly man. I main, Cloud, Aerith/Matt and Seph. I have Tifa well built with her Guide Gloves costume and OB10, I also have her Lightning magic Arc from MH costume and Kirin gloves OB7 with OB10 Crystal Gloves. I was expecting this to be the Matk version of Cloud’s weapon.. it wasthe MATK -all buff that stacks to high that got me. As luck would have it, I went two pages and got OB8. Weapon parts took it to OB9, and I did the 3K paid pack to try my luck at a OB10 copy, and got it! Aerith’s banner is what I wanted, but the luck was not with me 😢. Halfway through her second stamp page.. OB2.

Finally dropped 160k Cloud Tifa and Aerith all OB10. I only had to go into EX for cloud. Yuffie OB6 with a couple pulls left on the card I think I can get before the end of event. Got genji blade but my Tifa pulls were rapid. card 1 and 2 cleared in 9 pulls.
I love the build her weapon is crazy stupid and I now have a unit to cover both Phys and Magic non elemental OB10 Bahamut Fangs OB10 Guide Gloves. Tifa is missing one good MATK weapon with a high MATK stat so we are having to sacrifice a slot to build her to max. The weapon to pair with the claws doesnt exist yet.
The long burn paid off for me, abstaining from going crazy on banners along the way. I fear they've figured out a good drain in that I suspect ultimate weapons are now going to feature on all cards going forward. Thats going to push us to draw.

If u go for magical build that's Aerith, Bahamut Tifa and HalfAnniversary Sephiroth, for Physical Aerith, Cloud, Yuffie
The ob6 Tifa is made so, I believe, because it is blatantly predatory already that it is hands down the best weapon for current guild battle ranking, so ob6 is what you get with guaranteed copies (4 from pulling, 2 from 2x 5k red crystals for 2 and 4 copies dropped). ;) cl
Comparing between the weapons, this comparison is not valid, as it is ranked in a vaccuum. The ranking is based on what content one wishes to clear and at which stage each account is. For example, “wanted to clear previous ranking event? Cloud and Yuffie would be very good. Jenova B100? Same, and Aerith’s as well. Want to score big on guild battle? Tifa hands down… Starter Account? Cloud. Whale account? Yuffie and Tifa are more important than the other two… etc…
Granted, Cloud is the de facto best for F2P, especially new accounts as it cheeses fights you otherwise would not be able to, so by general consensus, it will be the one to go if one has to choose.
Tifa is actually the strongest weapon of the bunch, because it gives her haste like Cloud’s does, but it also everyone else matk buff, so your power level increases exponentially, and in this guild battle in particular it is predatory how much it is “fit for purpose“ for it.
Aerith’s weapon is actually very important for whales, less so for F2P as the benefits from it shine in accounts that can utilise them to full extent. For F2P it is the best passive stat stick in the game, because Matt is the better healer, especially for F2P or newer accounts without limited Kamura (which we cannot assume all people have access to). As the account gets stronger it is more and more powerful to actually make use of each of its utility functions.
Same with a Yuffie… this one especially is a whale weapon as it is meant for work compression in high end fights that your can use your DPS to buff the team while not losing DPS or wasting a slot for buffs when you do not need a healer as you go for top ten ranking.
As such, there is no “better worse” here… there is “what is our target, and what is our budget so we dress for the occasion” ;)
For your account, judging from what I have seen, Cloud and Tifa, then Aerith, lastly Yuffie. The first two as you can put them in immediate use.
PS: Tifa’s weapon time does not matter as you constantly re-apply it. You DPS in lower than 8 seconds and you perennially maintain it. This weapon makes the mage team in ranking to constantly maintain their high matk buff. And this is what you get from ob10, the time to maintain it whilst doing damage, and land Feather Gloves debuff when needed without breaking the buff. ;) And THIS is where ob10 shines… 7-8 seconds makes the difference between when to land the attack to maintain the buff ;)

but as soon as it's no longer non elemental focus her weapon is really not that great for an account progression / wish to clear hard important fights
@@Janille_here is the sad reality of this game: almost no weapon is. ;) most weapons are tailor made for the specific content at hand, then 9/10 times, they relegate to stat sticks at best, benchwarmers at worst.
The good thing about the weapons like this one, is that they actually will be used as stat sticks (especially Aerith’s, as we almost always used a party stick on our healer, this time said party stick is also giving heal to our healer).
But don’t kid ourselves with believing that the weapons don’t have “soft rotation”, the content to face is made specifically so that we rotate weapons constantly.
That said, aoe matk high is still aoe matk high… and this thing will be constantly used whenever we need that ability, as it is paired with self haste so if Tifa is doing support role, she will have ample time to land the rest of the debuffs and maintain the party buff.

@@Janille_and this is why my policy is: if you are not willing to go for current ranking/event to be the “top”, it doesn’t matter anyway, as you will eventually clear all other content at hand.
So, there is no “best for long term” as there is no long term that is valid, as “long term”. Whale accounts will go for solo crash/top 10 ranking and they will pull for whatever is currently needed. F2P accounts won’t get there anyway, but the rest of the content is almost always something you will be able to clear regardless, so it doesn’t matter, just get the thing you like more. ;)
Tbh all the weapons and costume is most likely obsolete in the future. Just remember to have fun.
I mean the weapon doesnt really need high in increase because its a move youl be constantly using so in 2 uses you have the team maxed and its no element at high damage, but that's my take on it
Out of the 4 yuffie actually has the best secondary weapon to make her kit a Powerhouse....the artic star which gives her patk high ...doesn't need anything else from her and you would use the same backend Weapons you would give to cloud.....I said all that but im going after tifa only

I appreciate the hot take and I actually agree with you 100%. The weapon certainly isn't bad, but it seems to be the weakest of the four.
Pros:
1. This weapon is excellent in the upcoming guild battle.
2. This weapon is probably BiS in the offhand for magical Lightning and Fire builds.
3. Haste is really strong, even only with one cast.
4. OB6 capabilities aren't far off from OB10.
and
Cons:
1. Unless your healer is a hybrid magical DPS, you're probably only getting 2 relevant characters buffed with each cast. Perhaps using this weapon on healer Tifa should be explored...
2. If you are running this weapon in the offhand and spamming it with your ATB, you aren't spending ATB using your elemental weapon. Where, on the otherhand with Cloud, you are really only looking to cast it the one time if you are running it in the offhand.
3. The 1,100%, while nothing to scoff at, seems like it could be higher. Even with it buffing her MATK...
I think applibot knows that Tifa fanboys will pull for her, regardless of what her kit does, which likely isn't doing her any favors. I even think Yuffie's kit is slightly stronger than Tifa's, if only because when you run it next to Clouds new kit, they are synergizing each other with DPS weapons that +PATK (all).
In my opinion, the real winner on the Tifa banner is Cait Sith. Now, that's a kitty that hasn't been flown out, blown out, and thrown out. 😂
Fortunately for me, the only magical arcanum I have for Tifa is her Water one. I don't think I'd ever find myself running Bahamut Gloves over the Feathered Gloves, so this banner is the only one of the four I'm skipping.

@@Nitelight9 Good luck hitting the OB6! The increased rates due to being the only featured standard rate weapons have been fantastic. Admittedly, I had to pick up 4 of the largest special crystal bundles, but I haven't had to go past page 2 for any of the banners. Probably used 45k blue crystals and 40k red crystals for everything.
They said, try it to believe it.. it's unfair to rate it when you don't even have it.. lol
@@mozart27th It's a fine weapon. I can appreciate how good the OB6 is for what it is, it just seems like they did the OB10 dirty. But yeah, thirsty Tifa simps are gonna simp. I actually do like the aesthetic of the costume, but it has less purple than the other 3. Definitely needs more purple.
After seeing Tifa in action alongside Sephiroth, I do believe her weapon is a lot better than I initially gave it credit for. Definitely better than Yuffie's, but I still think Cloud's and Aerith's are largely better at OB10.

I agree with a lot of your assessment for Tifa, I said this in the discord but i'll add it here as well.
Tifa's weapon works quite well in magic oriented teams as a SUB dps where your main DPS initially buff themselves, this may sound rare but thanks to ultimate weapons its more and more common.
For this guild battle, I have found that I use Sephiroth and Genji Blade, now the advantage I have is that, Genji's 4th tier MATK boost lasts over twice as long now because of Tifa regularly using Bahamut Talons, and I theorise it would approach 3 times as long instead of twice if you had TIfa's Feathered outfit equipped.
Tifa's weapon is unconventional as all hell, however the times it works, it works extremely well and that is amazing

I think there is a good chance that Tifa's Bahamut gloves are a part 1 of a 2 part set. Like her water set and her non elemental phy set. So I would rank Aerith 1st, Tifa 2nd, and then Cloud 3rd.
