He's hilarious and he is right about colonoscopies. The best sleep of my life. I'm pretty sure when I woke up I told the anesthesiologist that I loved him. I definately told one of the nurses that I loved her. I may have told a piece of hospital equipment that I loved him, too.

I'm not used to laughing so much before my first coffee is done. I have lived with Crohn's for 35 years, and this was hilarious. For the bonus level, have a feast of Taco Bell before the guzzling of the "Oral Fleet", smoke a joint and try to relax. :)
Up here in Canada, when I had my plumbing "inspected" by this procedure, they gave me a valium, a computer monitor to watch the video, and a new appreciation for magic, since I never thought 9 feet of what looked to be 3/8" cable could disappear into my colon.

My first one, at age 55 more than 20 years ago, was the best. I was positioned on the table on my left side, put in a semi-conscious happy state, the doc stood behind me and did her thing. I was able to watch the procedure as it explored inside my colon. It looked remarkably like the Star Trek episode Day of the Triffids, where everybody was running thru a cave and the ballon "rocks" were moving in the passing breeze. It was over in a few minutes. The worst part was when she injected air into my colon to expand it so the camera could move freely, the best part was seeing what she was seeing and being able to talk with her and ask questions and understand her explanation as she was going thru the steps of the procedure. Until you can actually see what they are talking about, it's just so many words without pictures.

This is the best honor we could get of our speciality. We just try to do our best, in the worst time of others. And it works! Lol. As an Anesthesiologist, I'm REALLY happy. As I'm usually. Most of people we care of, even remember our names. Is it good? Oh, no! But they don't remember pain, unconfort as an ambarrassment for procedure. Far away, in Brazil, I'm proud. Anesthesiologists are the "men of your dreams". Search, and trust the best.

Lewis Black is a legendary comedian famous for yelling his punchlines and being grnerally stressed and seething on stage. Ideally Sam Kinison would have been Anger -- nobody screamed more as a comedian. He screamed! And his voice was so unique and gritty. Sadly gone too young, like Chris Farley. But Lewis Black made so much sense for the role.
I've had it done twice. The first time was fine except the prep. The second time, I found out I can't handle fentanyl. When I woke up I got sick and puked and dry heaved over and over while still drugged and with an empty stomach. Not fun.

Was i supposed to laugh can i have 5 minutes of my life back? this is poor maybe my standards are too high British comedians just seem to have such stronger acts, and no i do have a good sense of humour and i do like American comedians Jimmy Fallon being one of the best out of the lot.

Honestly I think it's real, because I almost /never/ laugh at stand-up comedians, comedy movies, Family Guy, hardly anything that's suppose to be funny, yet I find Lewis to be *really* funny. And if I actually find him funny, my guess is people who actually laugh at Jim Carrey movies may find him hysterical.

colbert's latest book basically has the same joke but about the high colonic. Also, Lewis is the only comedian other than myself who has used the "God, why hast thou forsaken me" in a bit
