That was a very clear and elegant overview of unconscious bias - particularly liked the simple everyday stories rather than going for the obvious dramatic ones...and as Laura underlines, it's hard work to lead a more 'conscious' life, noticing and questioning our default setting. As David Foster Wallace said in his famous 'This is Water' commencement speech: "the really important kind of freedom involves attention, awareness and discipline and being able to truly care about other people in myriad petty little unsexy ways everyday"."
