- Fiona and her parents are sure about only one thing when it comes to her wedding dress: it's going to be pink. The other characteristics, however, will be hard to choose because mum and dad have completely different styles.

I think the last dress worked for the mother because it was more column than mermaid. It was a stunning dress and very unique and shows you don't need to spend a fortune to look great.

4.27 "You just need to remember whose day it is". I would like it very much if Fiona's dad could pop up in every show and point this fact out to all the people who think their opinion is more important than the bride's.
I wish people who don't want opinions just go shopping alone. I'm sure nobody would hold against them the fact that they didn't waste entourage's time and brought them along just to be silent since, you know, they are not the bride.
@@blueice011 I've never shopped for a wedding dress, so genuinely asking- do people really take everyone they've ever met plus all the groom's female relatives with them for a consultation? Surely it's just for the show. I can't imagine anything worse. They should limit their comments to whether the cut/style/colour flatters the bride. Nobody cares that a hanger-on likes ballgowns. I think I would go alone and trust the consultant to make experienced and objective recommendations.

@@MsJubjubbird Exactly. I wish more people get it before all 'she is the bride', 'not your dress' , 'not about you' comments. People are, for whatever reason, brought along and asked for opinions. Let's not crucify them for having a different one.
@@JustMe-ks8qc I agree entirely. But, for whatever reason, those entourages are brought along and asked for opinions. Let's acknowledge that before crucify them for having a say. Scripted show, people apply to be featured, signing contracts and accepting terms - they all know what they are in for. The show needs drama. All that aside, there is so little tolerance for different opinions. If I ask someone to come with me to help me choose whatever, I'd respect their (asked for) opinion. Or I'd go alone/with 'yes m'am' type of bunch, if difference in taste and views is not what I'm looking for. It's not like brides are forced into buying anything. And if they appear to be so, there is much deeper issue to be addressed before even thinking about starting a family. For most of them, it's about having the experience professionally taped and having a moment on global TV.
The bride is the PERFECT hybrid between young Madonna and Drew Barrymore. She's beautiful and she selected a beautiful dress. Congratulations!

My father died when i was 9. I really love to see dad's having a wonderful close relationship with their daughters. I had to walk down the aisle alone, something i had dreaded for years. Even though I wish my dad could have been with me on my wedding day, I love to see other dad's being active in their daughters wedding plans. To everyone who has their dad, always let them know how much you love him, because you never know whats round the corner!

Last dress was beautiful but the veil doesn't match with the lace if the dress.
Not only doesn't match with the lace, it doesn't match the style at all. This is one of the few dresses that works so well by itself that I very simple veil would complement best.
It's just a store sample to give the feel. She'll probably order a more specific one.
The dress she chose is gorgeous. I prefer it without the veil though.

@@annedalton289 I feel like in the past it was more common for parents to pay for the dress but now it’s very common for the bride and groom to pay for it themselves. Most brides now seem to be paying for it themselves.
