In this video, we talk about 5 Tips to use LeetCode the Right Way For Coding Interviews.
1. Stop submitting your solution 10 times (use your mind as the test button)
2. Deprioritize the bad problems
3. Using Filters the right way
4. Newton's first law (Inertia) - Create the momentum you need
5. No pain, no gain - Step out of your comfort zone

I dont get problem what they are asking even if I read many times I dont get it ,what should I do to get problem statement to understand in easy way
How many problems on an average should we solve in order to attempt our 1st interview for Amazon/google?
And is there any plan sheet for that???please share if you have..thank you

Not completely true.
atleast 5 a day might work better

1.Avoid Using The Submit Button repeatedly.
2.Deprioritizing Bad Problems(good likes,etc.)
3. Consistency and Don't get demotivated, frustrated.(easy to med then Hard)
4.Using filter for navigating the weak part to improve.
5.Step out of comfort zone.
Thanks mate!

I think your newton's law tip was really important and a good reminder for me. Thanks, Rachit for your valuable content!
Golden tips! Straight from a coders mind without plagiarism :) Thank You!
Why the hell no one told me this in IIT Bombay CSE department? This video is very helpful. Wish I could have watched this video earlier then I would have used Leetcode more efficiently. Thanks bro!!
Thanks for Tip #3, i sometimes get demotivated when i change the difficutlty and i am not able to solve. I kinda feel like demotivated and i just procastinate and stop solving problem. Motivating yourself to push further is one of the main skill to keet moving. Thanks man it helped me.
This one is the best videos for all candidates who are preparing for interview. Tips are really good. Will apply all of them.
Thanks for this video. You mentioned many simple, yet easily overlooked changes that interviewers can quickly add to their routines!
The points from the video that really made me uncomfortable:
1) Step out of your comfort zone. I'm really feeling the discomfort these days while trying to even go through the DSA book by Mark Allen Weiss.
2) newton's 1st law. Same again. Though I got the initial inertia, I keep wanting to stop going through the book. I'm trying to not give up😭
3) Your advise about doing quality problems. Maybe I've been escaping the discomfort by just solving easy problems on leetcode.😣
I just hope I won't give up. 💔
Thank you for the tips. I hope they will be useful and help me improve!!
I started web dev the day after my college closed due to the pandemic started and it was boring at first but I tried to write some code every day for at least 20 days and as you reach the end of that 20 day period you will see the results and you will see the progress that you're making that you will be hooked and it becomes part of your routine. It's been 60 days since I started and I have coded for at least 2 hours every day without missing a single day.
I feel that the Newton's Law tip will be game-changer. If you tend to procrastinate and have difficulty in starting to code
This is true..I started leetcode 1 and half month back after understanding recursion and graph traversals...have solved 200 questions mostly medium and hard on leetcode in the past 1 and a half month...and now I am hooked to it..
What is Newton law tip ??

Great idea worthy of screenshot. Will try this and see how much this helps me in android dev.
I was LOOKING FOR something like this
Great advice, Thank you!
It is become my habbit to like your video first and then watch it. love from a mechanical graduate learning DS and Algo.
I really like the way you make these animations and presentations to explain things especially while explaining a problem!!
Thik
Nice tips ✨
I solved entire 30 Days April Challenge by Leetcode 🌟, currently solving May Challenge 🌟 it feels so good when you become consistent. Just don't want this challenge to be over 💖, as Leetcode team prioritizes a good problem each day, which have higher chances to be asked in interviews.
Thanks Rachit for this video, this was the video which I requested you earlier, great tips.
That's really great advice. Thanks, Rachit
man you prompted me on doing much more than just programming you should become a motivational speaker for real
Practical advice from an experienced developer. All these things seem pretty obvious but implementing them diligently for each and every problem we solve brings a drastic change in ones problem solving ability.
It's a pleasure to know you Rachit Jain, thanks for all knowledge passed!
Awesome! Just quality content 🙏🏻
Rachit your videos are really helpful, cause i am always in a state wether i should start competitive programming or not, even if i will start i give up easily cause i get scared with the difficulty, but in your videos you just break it down to the simplest way and it just give me a faith that even i can do it. Even being from a local engineering college. I can be some one who will be working in any of the big software companies. Thank you so much for the motivation
One of the best video on real life coding tips .
I was interviewed by Google today for a hardware role. However, i was asked programming questions-> i explained the logic , i found it difficult to code it on the document. I was searching for a way to improve my programming skills !! This video really helped me, thanks
Hi Rachit. Thanks for the detailed information. You motivated me a lot.
Solution to submit button is dry run and run it on max 3-4 test cases and then yuu are good to go
Great video dude. Insightful and motivating at the same time.
this is the best video on leetcode!
Summary:
No summary.. you should definitely listen completely to this man if you need real idea for programming.
Thanks man!
Great video! Thanks Rachit :)
I wish I watched ur video and know your tip 3 sooner. My problem was that when i first started I attempted medium , easy-medium right away and get crushed pretty hard, and demotivated.
Really appreciate your pro tips
Hello Rachit, please make a video on how to prepare algorithms using GFGs like there are numerous algorithms over there but how to utilize that to prepare the algo section properly(please make a video on this topic 👏😅 you already uploaded several videos on how to prepare data-structures but we need some guidance to prepare algo as well). Thanks in advance
One again a great video. Thanks Rachit
This video really has some great tips. I was one of those who would just hit submit and check what test cases failed. That is missing a chance to understand the question and come up with edge cases. Also, if we ever need to see the solution, it is extremely important to rethink and analyse how it was done, what could be the intuition and what the thought process could be like.
Thanks again Rachit! Good one!
@@AnandPandeyHere Great. Just checked it out. :)
Same bro... i also generally do that... using SUBMIT button very frequently..
Submit button advice is really good.
This channel is very underrated 🙄
Thanks bhai
Just found out I was making all the mistakes. Gotta go and fix everything. Thanks!
watching this video again, to get motivated! thanks a lot, sir for such great advice

Hello sir....your video tutorials help me a lot to learn data structures and i request you if you can make a video to cover trees using C++ STL which is applicable in competitive programming.
Love you channel bro!!!!
It is also good to take a break sometimes
Thank you 🤗
Pls can you kindly do a video of customizing vim for programming competition. This will go a long

You are awesome man !!

Hey Rachit, nice and helpful video. Can you help us by giving list of 100 leetcode qs that we should solve to make our concepts strong and cover every base ? Please it would be helpful. Thanks.
you are quite the competition for the TechLead in terms of content
Awesome video 👍
Thank you try to follow 🙂
Amazing!
How do we get good at writing test cases for our code so that it becomes easier to write correct code ?
Sir can you please make a similar video for interviewbit
Thank you
Hi Rachit, this was really helpful video!! Can you please give your thoughts on interview Bit as well? Like, is it helpful or something?
pretty good suggestions. Especially, not to submit as soon as you finish writing code.
Thank you :-))
Hi....it would be very helpful if you tell some of the most important questions to attempt from leetcode and/or codeforces and/or codechef to get us pretty confident in interviews. I think for someone experienced like you, can easily give such recommended questions to solve....
Can you make videos on maths or number theroy problem
#2:44 This question is a good one for beginners , The dislikes are from geniuses who wasted time solving this just before the interviews
thankyou sir
Same mistakes what i do. Felt like he is reading my mind. Anf inertia💥
1st point submitting everytime is my mistake while practicing
very useful video
Hello Sir, firstly thank you for the guidance. One question though, how effective you would say leetcode monthly challenges are ? I participated in April challenge and now there is a may challenge going on . Can you share your thoughts on those ? Anyways Thank you for making such informative videos and thank you if you've read this far.
Can you also make a playlist for string problems?
Any thoughts on sort by frequency?
Using Fitlers the right way.!!
This is the most well-put thoughts I have ever listened to as advice and I needed to hear this.
I hope the I always have the inertia 🖖🏻
Thanks, Rachit.
Thanks, glad to hear the positive response 😁

What are good resource to learn DSA
From where u learned?
And secondly am having Interviews within 3 months from now and I don't have any project up my sleeves and am currently doing a prepbytes placement course and am at queues section.
I have trees graphs topics remaining
How should I prepare from now?
And what should I do about projects?

So true, there are some problems on leetcode, that I don't even know what they are asking and there examples are crap and description is even worse. I don't know, I proably could do the problem if the description wasn't so bad.
How to master sorting ? And how to know where to use which sorting algo ?
Hii Rachit. Have you maintained any List for good problems? Thanks.
Is data structures/algorithmns relevant at all for devops interviews? In all my senior level devops interviews not once have I ever been asked a coding question. And frankly, I never really use algorithmns in my day to day tasks
Should we try writing a brute force solution or find out the most efficient method right away from the beginning ?
Make a video on gfg also
Go the Breadth first way initially then do depth first during revision
I'm spending 1 day for each hard problem ^_ ^
should i start with leet code now or focus only on codeforces I am currently in 2nd year of my college
So which platform is the best for coding interviews preparation?
No 1 tip is awesome..
while solving the problem, I am following this rule..😃😃..
im new to leetcode, when im going through the problems i start on easy difficulty. but i just go from top to bottom is that fine? some of them are really werid like reversing an integer. I just want to become good enough to be able to make my own software and then maybe get a job for end of year break
My placement season will start in 8 months and I have learned the basics in past 2 months. I hope I can set an example for everyone and get a good job offer.
Wish you all the best !
Thanks
hey what are the updates?
Where are you placed now
