My understanding of wabi-sabi has been described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature. Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I find nothing in this home imperfect, impermanent or incomplete. Everything looked so new and in such perfect form. It just looks like a minimalist home.
The only thing that MAYBE very maybe could fit in this is the wood table with the crack. And I'd probably expect that someone that build a home like this to fill this crack with blue epoxi hehehehe
Not only it doesn't fit the wabisabi (I wouldn't be surprised if the CGI guy didn't even studied about the concept but used because is a trendy word that could fit anything that merely resembles to japanese design), but the living there wouldn't feel cozy at all The ultra high ceiling in the living room would make the house echo all the time, also it would be cold depending on where it was constructed Fits perfectly for some snobby indie guy that wanna show off how different he is, but overall, it's beautiful to see, but not so interesting to live
