Everytime I hear your melodies I think of MDRF!!!! Please come back and visit, your music filled many hearts, and led many to great lives!!!! Miss ya all!!! Great return in 2021 for Albannach in MDRF would be well appreciated!!!!!!
My husband and I saw them in Vermont in Sept 2007- WOW AMAZING... we had just returned from a trip to Scotland and loved meeting them and seeing them play. I was blown away. While my folks did not enjoy it as much-hubby and I were rocking out:))) Everyone MUST see them live!
caught them at the Highland Games in Pleasanton, CA... I am addicted and will see them live every chance I get for the rest of my life... absolutely incredible experience!!!
Just saw Albannach in concert at the Grandfather Highland Games at Celtic Rock night...damn they're awesome. Great music, great performance and awesome drumwork! Rock on!
That's why I like celtic culture, music, and countryside... I am the lover of the celtic culture!! Thanks man for the uploading:) very much!!! Ed from Hungary
Wonderful! This is certainly the best of the best sonnerien (musicians) for dancing KOST AR KOAD in Brittany, France. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven eight. One, two, three, four, five six, seven, eight. One, two... Excellent.
I just love these people! They're all fantastic! I love the guy on the kettles! Next time they come to the US I want to see them. Just getting in touch with my Scottish roots and am loving this!
Saor Alba Love the music...love the country yes I like Albanian music, some serb..but Cretan I do like-pure ethnic, but you can change my mind it is always open.
@PawnSacrific3 The song that they are playing was actually put in to the Last of the Mohicans theme song. As Deutzeinachser said it's a song called "The Gael". All in all...tis a grrrrrrrrrreat song!
This looks like it was filmed at the Highland Games in New Hampshire! I first saw them perform there in 2007, and people were literally hanging off the rafters the place was so crowded.
sAme here!!! i went this year wit my aunt and cousin we all loved them!!! I have to go next year cuz it their last year preforming at the highland games : (
We have Albanach at our wee swaries on a regular basis, the drumming is inspirational. Gets us goin I suppose.. I was at the commemoration of the Battle of Stirling Bridge on Friday night, even better than the Bannockburn do. Alba gu Brath
It would be awesome to put together a cultural music/drumming performance showing the influence of the drum over different cultures. For example, this awesome band Albannach could stand toe to toe with a Japanese Taiko drum ensemble. I wonder - what other cultures have drumming like this in their music?
woo! hell yea! i saw them perform live today at estes park in colorado for the scottish irish festival, it was totally amazing! i absolutely loved it! great video! [they signed my arm too ;D]
Heyho Albnannach!!! Great to see you guys are still keeping busy and rippin it up as usual. Looking forward to seeing you all again during the Edinburgh festival. Chick Allan
If you're going to the Ohio Renaissance Festival in 2011, Albannach will be there for ONE WEEKEND - Oct. 8 and 9. @Fergus1922 - You said it, dude! I'm going that weekend so I can hear them and get more music! Albannach, I look forward to hearing you later this year!
@surreal443 I have no doubt of his character. I think you mistook my meaning. When I say barbarian, that is a *gooood* thing. The way he dances around to the music, and the hair flinging and the sweat and muscles.. Mmm. Gimmie. =) He truly enjoys the music with his entire being. He's the best.
its probably a GOOD thing that i DONT HAVE a cd for the truck, ya know? "But officer, if you listen to this, you'd UNDERSTAND 120 MPH" BUT i am willin to risk it. Where do ya get them?
TheSnowsbeauty5 Your ancestors were, most likely, drinking whiskey, {they don't have scotch whiskey there, just "whiskey". Then going south to kill my Cheshire ancestors. I know I want to drink whiskey and go kill Englishmen after listening to this intoxicating music. ROFL :-P
Jim Rathbun Surely you jest! lol I've bought " Clan MacGregor Scotch Whiskey" that was made by Alexander MacGregor & Co. in Glasgow, Scotland, for a friend :p I bought this brand because of my allegiance to my true family name- MacGregor (Clan Gregor, son of Gregor- "Royal is my Race") My Mother and Father's parent/grandparent/great- grand last names, of "White (ancestors came by way of the Mayflower, from England to Plymouth, MA) Brown, Grigg(s) and Rigg(s)"- names changed/aliases, due to Proscription(s), and the murderous Lowlanders! These ancestors also moved out of Scotland, because of this. "English!" and Germanic tribes-also killed my peeps:( I am an American with, Scot-Irish, English, and Native Indian roots:) I had a little toy bagpipe, and wore plaid/ kilt-looking skirts when I was a child-also:P
+Jim Rathbun (Zoomie932) ..and then she whacked you with a ruler- right? LoL Maybe they didn't like kids, because they couldn't have any of their own. Protestants are nothing like Jehovah Witnesses (money grabbing cult), but when I was a kid, all my friends were Catholic..I went to all of their homes, but they were not allowed to go to mine. My Catholic friends kept me pretty much in check though, saying I'd go to Hell if I swore/sinned...then would dare me to say a swear word, and when I did, they would laugh. How evil is that! Catholics don't like Protestants and Protestants don't like Catholics, not so much nowadays because the masses, don't go to masses anymore. Religion just divides anyway. I prefer to be Spiritual myself;)
good lord it awakens something primal in you and you feel excited by the drumming down deep. it's ten times better in person though. I wanted to jump their bones. (except the lass)
I saw Albannach live one time. I loved what I heard.
Everytime I hear your melodies I think of MDRF!!!! Please come back and visit, your music filled many hearts, and led many to great lives!!!! Miss ya all!!! Great return in 2021 for Albannach in MDRF would be well appreciated!!!!!!

Incredible band. 15 minutes of their music was enough for me to want to buy their album. I love how much effort they put into their playing.

The Gael.........fantastic.....thankyou....
Lovely noise. Leaves me wanting more. Awesomeness.
& by the way I also enjoy Clanadonia very much.
Calling this guy a Barbarian is like what the first World War Germans called the Scottish Highland brigades, "The Ladies from Hell" a badge of Honor.
Hi! I'm so glad to have found your vids!!!!! Have you got any of them playing Rout of Moy!!! That one gets me every time!!! ;) xxx
Love these guys. So amazing live.
@Fergus1922 Funny...my mom (72) joined in a little mosh pit when they played Estes Park 2010. Very entertaining

TheSnowsbeauty5 +Jim Rathbun..and on Saint Patrick's Day, I wanted to wear "green" like the rest of the kids, but my Mom said I had to wear "orange!"
Rofl!! Sister Mary O'Hardass told us Protestants and Jehovah Witness' would all burn in hell for eternity. I didn't believe her.
