  • I haven't came across a how-to video on swapping the HID bulbs on the Chevy SS, so figure I would take the opportunity to do one and swap out the stock oem HID bulbs for some OSRAM Xenarc 66340 CBB HID D3S. While these new HID bulbs didn't meet my expectation on color/temperature, they DO generate more light and I can see further down the road. Hope this helps!
    Tools:
    - T15 bit to remove the screws holding the fender liner
    - Phillips screw driver ( magnetic tip recommended but not required )
OSRAM Xenarc 66340 CBB HID D3S

I have the same car but in Melbourne Australia. I have just bought a pair of headlight globes and I’m not happy with them. What model low and high beam globes have you installed and also what fog light globes are on your car? Thanks mate 💪💪💪💪

When I bought my v2 I bought these and about $600 worth of other lights because the projectors on the v are horrible. I’m a headlight fanatic and it drives me crazy..the lifespan on these bulbs are short as well. They lost at least 50% performance in about a year with my kind of driving.

That's unfortunate. Especially for the price of these bulbs, I would expect a longer life span. I kept the factory bulbs so if worse comes to worse, I'll put those back on.
If I have any issues at all with these, I'll make sure to come back and update this video.

So my right low beam went out, I bought a replacement bulb and it still doesn’t work? I’m new to the ss community, what could be the issue?

Fuse? I have no idea, haven’t come across that yet. Try posting in the Chevy ss fb group. I’m sure someone can chime in and help.

where did you get your side marker lights from

The side marker lights came in a LED kit I purchased for my truck. I had left over t-10 bulbs and installed them in the SS side marker lights. They are bright!
Here is an Amazon link to just the t-10 bulbs.
