- Today we head out and fish micro lures in a feeding frenzy of australian salmon! We then go onto target a feed on King George Whiting.

Mate, love your videos and content… was hoping on an off/quiet day you could do a ‘mundane’ video on how you have your tackle box set up…. how you have all of your gear sorted and then how you specifically set up for a day’s fishing given what you’re targeting… keep up the good work

The old Australian salmon, or as they call it in NZ, kahawai. Nev, you said that they are crazy strong fighters... that is how kahawai translates "kaha" = strong, "wai" = water, Kahawai = strong in the water. Tight lines mate! Keep the content coming. And good job bleeding them and giving the punters that tip!

Hey mate you have your outriggers upside down. If you turn the middle part so the holes are in the opposite direction and then the bars left and right can go down rather than up it'll make the floats touch the water instead of being in the air.
Slightly more drag but worth if conditions are bad.
Haha nah I have them on the highest setting to avoid drag, I can adjust them to the water if it gets rough

I've got a old 14 foot canoe that I use for me and the missus to go for a leisurely paddle around Garden Island here in South Oz. Last week we were just paddling along and a huge dolphin broached literally that close to my paddling arm it sprayed with it's blow hole and scared the shit outta me. I thought a pointer was having a go, I saw one there a week before probably around 6 to 7 foot
White pointer coming up to the yak is my worst nightmare
in new zealand we call them kahawai and theyre good smoked

Hey so I have tried fishing for flatties in a river called the crooked River at a place called gerroa and I got a 50cm dusky after fishing for about a week and it came off my hook, any tips on how to get more luck?
Just keep trying man, it all comes with experience and time on the water. You’ll get better and find little tricks which help along the way!

Aussie salmon are pretty good. But most people can't cook so they hate them. And for poddy mullet find a school and get some bread and make tiny bread crumbs into the water. And when they start eating get tiny blackfish hook and get a tiny piece and drop it in

Your video heading mentions a "micro lure", and the associated image doesn't look like a MMD splash prawn (which I thought you were using).
