A ripper day from inver
I've never seen it so smooth
Ripper vid nev
The Daiwa Double Clutches don’t disappoint! 🔥🔥
Love the way you keep your audience engaged Nev! Such great productions.
Tough start. Perseverance got you through. Nice salmon pod in the end. I enjoy the conversations you have with yourself - we all do it.
Inverloch, cool spot. Loads of fish. Plenty of salmon around the end of the pier on the pushing tide.
I'd love to fish down your way. It's been horrible fishing up north lately... Lucky man!! Looked like so much fun catching salmon on the light tackle.
Thanks Nev, unloading looks easy great show mate.
7:20 Can't deny how good they look....I catch them on a lure that I bought because you were using them...
Bad shad Slim swimz
Those daiwa doubble clutch lures are awsome, i have caught so many fish on the small ones over here in austria and also in the adriatic sea.
Another killer hardbait is the small 5cm rapala xrap version, they are so good and the price is very good, i have also caught a shitload with them.
Small duo lures are also pretty good and i also have some small yozuri ones that caught a lot but they are hit and miss and you have to play around with the steel loop a bit so the action doesnt break out at higher retrive speeds but other than that they are also pretty good cheap lures.
Another thing i do with all small hardbaits is change out the trebles, Gamakatsu makes some really strong tiny trebles (i think model Nr.13b) that are impossible to bend on light gear which is also pretty important, and some better splitrings on the yozuri hardbaits.
Good terminal tackle is very important on those small lures, i have had a few trebles bend open when the hook point hit a bone or something hard and those hooks bend pretty easy if all the pressure is on the tip of the hook when it hits something hard in a jaw and doesnt penetrate far enough so the bend can take all the pressure, since then i only fished small lures with those gamakatsu 13b trebles and never had a problem, for the bigger lures i use bkk trebles, diabolo singles and decoy splitrings.
I got a 59cm salmon on pillie cubes thought it’s a kingfish and also smoked by a huge monster fish later in the day, only thing I can feel is weight on the ent of the line
Great video mate!!! Always enjoy your content. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks heaps mate!
Good content as always Nevo.
Appreciate it mate.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed!
Tie on a Berkley speed clip, save having to retie if you change lure or trace.
Salmon and Tommy's are pretty much the only things in my area that will go plastics, very cool to see you chasing them too Nev. Awesome video as always
"This feels like cheating" haha! Where I live on the Chesapeake Bay in the US there are many kayak anglers that almost exclusively troll. When it works it can be fun, but there are times when they look so miserable going back and forth for hours
How long did you troll with the squid jig before you realised? Haha
I got a 75 cm salmon on pilies the other day off the beach thought it was a big jew since I got spooled twice that week on jew
Another awesome video Nev, not a bd day out in the end mate
Top video Nev, pro tip as well, where you launched is a class whiting spot on the change of tide, and around the bend where the micro “pier” is. Cheers for the content legend, YEWWWW 🤙🏾🤙🏾
Okay cheers for that mate, will give it a go!
Great video as always, Nev! Haven't really tried lures yet since I am more of a bait and wait guy and i still find it expensive. Can't wait for the next video!
Bait fishing is still super relaxing! Glad you enjoyed!
Love the land based fishing
Love the vids cant wait for your next upload
Trawling is with a net trolling with a line
Aussie salmon are great fun. Been a good run of the in the Swansea channel lately.
Good stuff ,,, fishing can be tough but rewarding
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Really good strek my friend, okay keep going, always cheer up mate
a couple months ago we fished off the beach and smashed them most 50-70cm
Healthy fish dude
Also have you tried surf fishing for salmon
hey dude great vids as always,
would love to see you do a couple vids around
princess pier Melbourne,

You're number 1 JD
Cheers brother
damn dude. you never cease to amaze me with your fishing. your way too good. ive been getting bad luck where i fish but man! seems like you have taken that and used it! love the video! awsome mate 👌
Appreciate it mate!
*you're
Looks like Hastings to me but I might be wrong! There’s also strong weird currents!
good stuff nev, they go pretty hard don't they.
great video as always!! Good to change it up a bit hey!!
For sure mate, cheers!
Mate for sport fishing, Sambo are awesome. I love how they fight, jumping and they way they'll smash the lure. Really underated sport fish
I agree, super fun fish!
Good video Nev... Looks like you had good fun .... funny enough that spot is called "The Snags." Can't see why they call it that 😂
Hahah very true, can tell why they call it that! Cheers as always mate!
Great winter whiting spot on that beach, especially if you pump those shallower banks for yabbies and sand worms. Fantastic area for solid trevally too, wouldn’t surprise me if some of the fish you dropped were good sized trevally.
Ahh nice, I'll have to give the whiting a go there sometime!
Nice work Nev👌🏼 salmon a very underrated fish, delicious if bleed straight away
My favourite is salmon sashimi, thin sliced with lemon soy wasabi and cracker👌🏼
Might have to give that a crack, cheers mate!
DaMn DAmN DaMn
The amour of times you said damn when you were looking at the kangaroo footprints haha 😆
Hahahha
Where did u launch at? Also amazing vid
Im thinking about a kayak... but how long does it take you to get it setup for each launch?
Hi Nevo great episode again mate. Nev just wondering if you or any of you wonderful viewers have any secret ways of cooking the salmon. Love to see a catch n cook again soon Nevo as they are great. Cheers Kevo.
Cheers heaps Kevo!
Come to Lake Macquarie we get heaps up around the 90’s in this time
Nice. I need this lure in NZ mate is it a double clutch black gold. Alot of people have a hard time landing those fish here they jump out the water and shake the lure out. I might change to inline single hooks those trebles are nasty. Those fish are the best bait fresh for snapper too.
Mate! Your videos are too exciting! I would love to film you, like a fishing docu
Still raining down under hey?! 🤦🏼♂️
Very good fishing spot, great 👍.
Cheers!
How’s old mate Nev here - tracker extraordinaire!
great vid mate keep it up 🎣🛶👍
Thanks mate! :)
Nev. I love this. I am a young fisherman. Any tips for the big fella of myself? 🥩🥩🥩🥩🥓🥓🥓🥓
Is this PI in westernport?
Looks like Venus. My home turf
What model is your kayak? I'm looking at buying one while I'm travelling around. Great vid mate
Hobie compass mate
Hey bro, what camera did you use when you where in the land? I can see water stays on the lens. Go pro 10 has a hydro bloody something that doesn’t allows the water to stick on it. It’s perfect!
It was an older gopro I reckon, will have to look into a newer one
Good stuff Nev! Has anyone ever told you that you look like a young Jorge Lorenzo? He used to frequent the Island with the Motogp circus.
Hahah nah that’s a first
Hey Mate. My mate and I nicknamed that lure the Flattystick due to the amount of flathead it caught. It's a great lure.
You're on to it like me... I reckon they ate deadly on the shallow sand flats in knee deep water and even shallower... I've caught some monsters on double clutches haha
@@brettstewart420 Yup. They are just a perfect flats lures.
Enjoyed the video mate, just out of interest why wouldn't you switch to bait if the water is murky?
Despite the clarity you still had success so I'm assuming it's not essential to have crystal clear water?
salmon have pretty soft mouths so easy to pull hooks
I think thats what was happening
nev do you work? always no one out and weekdays
How long does your setup take, from car stopped to hitting the water?
Maybe 20ish minutes
Also just a heads up it says contantly instead of constantly in the header
Nice👍
Hey nev! Got a question for ya
Where do you things the best land based spot on the west side of the port Phillip bay would be best for squid? Love the videos!
Queenscliff
flinders pier mate i got 6 yesterday
and sam remo
@@alecthefisherman430 do you go before tide or after?? never really tried squid
@@seb9564 anyhing
I fished that exact beach but had to walk there it’s a good spot but walking is horrible
Looks like the daiwa double clutch??? If so they are my favourite hardbody to use for flathead
Yessir, are pretty solid hardbodys
@@NevsFishing yeah I find that they are one hard body you don't have to change the tables before use as their stock trebles are awesome... I suggest hitting the flathead with them if ya get a chance in knee deep water on the sand flats or across rock walls and rock gorges
What sort of rod and reel were you using Nev?
Dude are you like gonna reply?
Please
@@tyson7796 its in the notes above mate ( see more )
@@warrensimpson9541 thanks Warren Simpson
Caught a 68cm snapper there and a 10kg gummy

Nev .... WHITE SOCKS for fishing ???? Really are you the new breed ??🙂
Agreed white socks and fishing is like oil and water. They don't mix.
Someone’s gotta do it ;)

Why do they keep getting off? Because your drag is too loose. 🤦♂
