- This week I visited a USCIS building to complete my Biometrics as part of the immigration process. This is what I witnessed and my experience. I did not at all know what to expect, and thought others could learn from my experience.

I had a completely different experience than yours. I did it in Elizabeth, NJ and I got there first, no line, no wait, no problem, it took 5 to 10 minutes.
Ohhhhh wow, that’s were I did mine, you are so lucky you didn’t have the line up like I did…. Maybe they are getting better with their schedule?
@@AnAussieinAmerica maybe or is the time of year or the time I went to do it. They were very nice too
Definitely could be the time of year, my people were nice, just busy…
@@AnAussieinAmerica by the way, do you know how long it takes for the results, findings if any from the FBI so that the case can move forward?
My appointment was August 9th, and just received my work permit December 10th. My AOS interview is January
Me too a completely different experience in Idaho .I was there 20 minutes before no line,no wait I was warming welcome with a beautiful smile of Police man control I was directly take in charge .Lest than 10 minutes I was out .. it was a great experience.
Buddy you are lucky! The first time I went to Elizabeth NJ (2013) for my fingerprints I was there 5 hours! And almost got kicked out because they had to close soon and the employee taking my biometrics was tired and upset he yelled at me because my hand was shaking a little. (I’ve had my right palm broken 2 times and the nerves are not too good) Told me “STOP MOVING OR WERE DONE HERE, ILL SEND YOU HOME!”..that was the worse experience I ever had.
I’m sorry about your experience. I find a big difference here between private company employees and government employees.
Went for my biometrics in Arizona in April 2023 and it took me about 15 to 20 mins to finalized everything😊
All that he said in terms of the do's and don't s are correct
Awesome job, I feel like things are getting quicker these days compared to a few years ago when they were backed up.
In some case I do believe this ,things for some is moving real fast..# everyone's case may be different
we got there 25 minutes early no wait no line in and out very easy and friendly.
Interesting to hear the amount of "stuff" one has to go through. Thanks for an update!
It’s incredible mate, I’m only about half way.. haha
I recently did mine in LA, from getting to the building to fully completed and leaving was around 20 minutes. Super quick.
@@simoncourt1 Ohhhh wow, that was super quick. You are one of the lucky ones mate. :)
Hi. Unfortunately, I have lost my passport, and I do not have any documents with photos provided by the U.S. government. But I have some photo identification that I brought from Vietnam.(I have lived in the US for almost 2 months.) Is it okay when I come to ASC? Thank you for your help.
I'm not an immigration lawyer, you are best seeking advise from a lawyer or Rapid Visa direct.
@@AnAussieinAmerica oh, thank you so much
Lucky you've had practice rolling those prints ;)
1st thing I thought too mate.. haha 😂
Brother if I came to us with an immigrant visa(IR5) why do I need to submit biometrics? I-797c was mailed to me? Thanks
I’m not an immigration lawyer etc, this was just my personal experience with USA immigration
Thanks for update
Interesting to hear all the stuff
It’s a waiting game now for the interview
Anytime I'll finger prints date I'll try go before 1hour
But they will only allow you to line up 15min before your appointment time, so be careful
When should I expect my biomatric notice. I got i797c notice of action receipt notice within 5 days of the submission of I-130 PETITION
A lot has changed regarding time frames, It also depends upon the state and location. The USCIS website should give you a good indication.
@@AnAussieinAmerica my petition is under f4 catogery. I got i797c notice of action with IOE REFERENCE NUMBER which is electronically submitted.
Service centre is mentioned california service centre at the bottom left of the letter.
My country is pakistan
Any changes in the US immigration to clear the backlog which is the biggest issue
@@AnAussieinAmerica my petition IOE REFERENCE NUMBER AND SERVICE CENTRE ON THE NOTICE IS MENTIONED AS CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTRE.
IT IS F4 CATOGERY AND I AM FROM PAKISTAN

Hello sir i have biometric appointment in next month my question is did they ask any questions like interview or imegration related or only just fingerprint and photos ??
No questions at all, it’s just for them to obtain fingerprints and photograph.
Good luck
@@AnAussieinAmerica thank u so much sir 🙏🏻
@@darshanparmar3194 Any time mate, I'm happy to help
Please let me know what this biometric is taking for, and if its for green cards, how long after biometric we gonna receive our green cards?
For me it was for a greencard, and my interview was scheduled 5mths after these were taken. But every case is different.
You can use you driver license as identification
There needed to be a total of 10points for identification. Check their website or the paperwork they give you.
How long did you get your notice for biometrics after filing or sending in your application in NJ
Filed in May, received notice in July.
@@AnAussieinAmerica thanks..still waiting for my receipts of application, filed early last month
Good luck, keep me posted.
How long it takes for final interview after Biometrics?
That varies, and changes constantly. I’m still waiting for mine
@@AnAussieinAmerica Thanks for the instant ans !
Did you received your EAD and AP. If yes, how long it’s been after your biometrics.
Biometrics was only in August (2021) so I’m still waiting. I did receive a notice 4wks after biometrics, stating that my greencard interview is now waiting to be applied.
@@AnAussieinAmerica any update on EAD?
No news as yet.
Do us citizen applying for spouse has to go through biometrics at uscis?
The US citizen doesn’t attend, just the person who the visa is for (immigrant) only.
Guess I was lucky. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment, had to be there at 8 am. And 8:15 I walked out of the building. There where maybe 4 people, and I was second in line.
Ohhhhh wow, which state was that?? I’ve only ever heard the lines being long
@@AnAussieinAmerica Missouri, and my appointment was in st Louis.
@@AnAussieinAmerica mine was quick too like 20 minutes in total
Will they allow any person to be with the applicant
Nope, only a translator, if required.
i did my finger print how long i wait for test ?
.
Waiting for the interview is different for every case. I’m still waiting for mine.
in vermont only 7 people in front of me
Ohhhh wow, so lucky, I had over 400 ahead of me.. haha
Hello sir did u receive any notice again after ur biometrics?TIA
I just had my biometrics yesterday
Yes, a couple of weeks after, I revived a notice that my case was now at interview stage, and to wait for the interview date. (This may be months away) I’ll keep you posted.
Good luck with your journey
3 hrs? Its nothing.. i was on a waiting line 12hrs under sunny day..
Ohhhhhh wow, I thought mine was long
sir i can asking you if we have a interview?
I’m not sure, I’m not a visa lawyer. But I did have my interview 4months after my Biometrics were taken.
In San different where I am, the line was 3 ppl. I was out in 10 min 😂
Ohhhhhh lucky…. Great job
I preferred Australia 🇦🇺 than United States 🇺🇸. Hope someday I can Move To Aussie land
It is a beautiful country.
1 hr and 15mins to 3hrs and ahalf to wait for the start of ur new legal life in the US. I say it's a privilege and not much at all to wait around I've waited longer at the doctor, E. R. And at the dang dmv
I can tell you’re homesick 😔
Nah, definitely not homesick with Australia in full lockdown again..
Pñ)
@@AnAussieinAmerica are you sick with Covid? Lol
Haha, nope, I’ve had my double shot back in April. All good here mate.
