The 6th track, and one of my all-time favourites, really connects to me and when I listen to it, I think of the passage of time, of entropy, of those fleeting moments, of a yearning for belonging, of a lifetime caught in the blink of an eye, of a world not yet ready to be touched. Been a long time waiting for one of my favorite artists but the presence of the background sounds kind of hurts my ears. I dont want to be a critic, it's not in my nature. certainly i have collected many of your works with great enthusiasm and joy. you do something tremendous with sound that i can only compare with kid606 and lorn and william orbit. Between you and the other three there are no greater artists on the ambient stage. this album isn't ready yet chris. you should pull and re-release. pull off the background sounds. Some people like it. Personally, for me, it's like trying to listen to two things at once, and it makes my ears uncomfortable like a cheese grater. I can not listen to this album. It is like listening to someone's recording of an album, which may be what was intended here. In that respect it would be performance art, but you didn't do it correctly. it doesn't make sense audibly. What you should do is upload two versions- the version without the ambience, and a version with the ambience if you also have the video, but with the music resampled through a sound stage that makes it sound like it was playing there. that might work. If you don't have the video, then get an artist to draw the scenes that the ambience is sampled from.
