No, infact it's the zombies and crazed people like him that create peace momentarily, common enemies always make everybody friends. It's when they start gaining power over the other faction is when chaos starts
In the short term, sure, but they'd get put down soon enough, just like Jacob himself. In the long term, people like Kuddles and Vinny were far worse. Jacob was too inefficient and unhinged to cause any real trouble.
@@IchCharacter the mall rats kept doing things based off things we heard were going on but in reality that was stuff that was being passed down such ass cheddar we were like 30 minutes late to save him we were so isolated the news got to us very late
In my opinion, if possible, the kill logs in the chat should be disabled. Or just the chat disabled entirely. Players shouldn't know who killed who without any vocal information. This would allow people to gaslight and lie, worry, and wonder where people are. If there's a mod to remove nametags, that would make things more crazy too. People would actually have to introduce themselves, teams would wear certain items to identify each other, and bandits could steal clothing from large groups and appear like "one of them." Nobody would know who is approaching them without asking. The less UI information, the better, IMO. Let the players figure things out. If there isn't any mods or settings for this, hopefully it can be developed easily.
I screamed when I realized that the reason the Responder guy didn't shoot when he was getting his ass beat was because he didn't have ammo. This is a whole ass movie.
It even has arcs lol. The Start Arc (Minor antagonist: Seabass, Jacob) Simple arc, battles and people taking leadership of the mass of players. A few rogues pop up and begin causing a little mischief. Once the zombies are dealt with, attention turns to the disruption Seabass is causing, as tension rises and freely spawned loot is snatched up starts to wear on some player's patience. This results in Seabass being killed, with no one disagreeing with the murder. The Jacob Arc (Antagonist: Jacob, his cousin) Seabass is gone, and Jacob has full 'control' of being the mall's public menace. All other factions are attempting general peace and are building supply stocks to sustain their populations. Jacob and his minion rove around causing problems and with no other troublemaker at work, Jacob sews doubt and confusion among factions still working to establish themselves. This results in a genuinely cinematic moment where Jacob is captured and put on a show trial before one of the members in attendance reveals he has been bitten, likely unintentionally turning right in the midst of the trial. He kills himself, prompting Orphanza to enter a state of frustrated blood lust, executing Jacob on the spot. The Airdrop Arc (Antagonist: the horde, minor antagonist: Outter-clan AND inner-clan conflict, Kuddles) Jacob is gone and the clans can return to focusing primarily on stockpiling and future-building. An air drop of vital supplies lands, causing a large zombie horde to amass, the clans fight in tandem against both the horde and one another for looting rights of the supplies. People die, but supplies are won and distributed I assume mostly amongst the larger clans who had the people power to loot and carry off supplies. Inner-clan conflict beings to occur as people argue over resources and the advent of cures, ironically, leads to problems as now clan leaders realize some of their members have been lying about infections. Clans really start to butt heads, undoubtedly some individuals still annoyed at the results of the airdropped supplies. Everyone is feeling the stress of dwindling resources, leading to people acting much more hostile and ready to react with violence. Also, the players are getting a little bored. Kuddles takes matters into his own hand and initiates the war Jacob always wanted, by luring a sizable amount of zombies to attack another clan's base. The Clan War Arc (Antagonist: Kuddles, his Sky clan supporters) Tensions are at an all out breaking point. Inner-clan drama surrounding Kuddles' actions and an aggressive call for blood. An unwitting Sky clanner gets taken hostage for the humble act of wanting to retrieve a fallen friend, a strategically sound but morally dubious decision on the part of the Wood clan. Kuddles pleads his case, with the clan divided. Kuddles wants to destroy the stairs, isolating the Sky clan from the rest of the mall while allowing the other clans to squabble over what's left while the Sky clan settles on the entire roof. In a heated decision, Kuddles is killed by Nitro, who argues that there was no other choice as Kuddles refused to surrender. The Sky clan itself is divided on the decision, with some members arguing the execution wasn't right, though the Clan endures. Kuddles' death at the hands of the Sky clan angers the Wood. Wood clan member Vinnyboy is angry his clan could not execute Kuddles personally, with Nitro attempting to explain his actions. Negotiations break down and Vinnyboy declares open two-way war. In a twist of fate, the Sky clan retreats to their base and enacts the exact same plan the maniacal Kuddles was just offering, and breaks down the stairs leading to the Sky clan's base. Only this time, however, it is a defensive maneuver in response to open hostility rather than an attempt to aggressively cut themselves off from the rest of the mall. Vinnyboy steps up to use force to establish peace, not bloodthirstily murdering those who do not comply, but is also all out of patience and is open to killing those who won't obey his orders. His aggression butts heads with the aggression of others, as Vinny fails to achieve total control over situations. Sky clan members open fire from the roof, causing extreme panic and confusion for the people below. In the crossfire, a member of the Responder clan is unintentionally shot by mistake. This is a problem, and now it's known Sky shot at and killed Responders. The Sky clan snipers decide that there's no explanation they can offer to make the situation better, and decide to kill everyone they can while their enemies are confused and vulnerable. Vinny and the others work out that Sky is shooting them from the roof, and that the war has escalated into a position in favor of the fortified and cut-off Sky clan. The Alliance Arc (Antagonist: The Sky clan) Sky clan is in a position of dominance in the mall. With their members having attacked and killed a Responder and wounded several others from the remaining clans, a call to action is made and most of the remaining clans band together to focus on their common enemy. Even Cheddar, who was moments before on the cusp of an execution, has his crimes momentarily forgotten about as he joins in alongside Vinny, Orphanza and others. Vinny organizes an impromptu raid on Sky, only to realize the severity of Sky's position as his party is once again damaged heavily by Sky firing from the roof. In an exciting narrative twist, a disparate band of outliers come together, formed of members who are friendly to what is left of Cheddar's Apron clan. They resolve to rescue Cheddar, unaware that the execution has been stayed and Cheddar is currently working alongside his captors. MadManv, a semi-innocent Mall Rat, is accidentally killed by Sky's overeager snipers, who did not know who they were shooting. This prompts most of Mall Rat's members to also focus aggression on Sky. Vinny leads the bulk of Wood clan's united forces outside of the mall to attempt gaining a spot of advantage against Sky clan. Meanwhile, a plan is hatched by a group of players to use Molotov's to spread fire to the mall roof and kill the trapped Sky, even at risk of burning the entire mall down. (continued)
The Negotiation Arc (Antagonist: Everyone, sort of) Hostility is brought down upon Sky clan, whose leadership struggles to understand what is happening. Nitro attempts to maintain leadership in the face of approaching enemies, but fails to keep some of his own members from escalating aggression. Onetiredslav steps up and manages to begin talks with Wood clan representative Straven. Onetiredslav offers apology and suggestions of peace, though Straven, personally injured and left with a limp by Sky snipers, is not initially receptive to the offer, but does volunteer himself to enter Sky territory for further talk. At least one member of Sky is not comfortable with the offer, arguing that extending a rope is part of Wood's plan to attack the Sky base. Onetiredslav must argue with his own clanmates and navigate rising tensions to ensure Straven safe passage into Sky territory, even butting heads directly with Nitro over clan leadership. The situation begins to rapidly deteriorate as people on both sides lose patience and begin shouting conflicting orders, desires and opinions. Thankfully, Straven and Onetiredslav manage to wrest control of the situation and it is decided that Straven will be offered safe passage to Sky for negotiations. Straven is received peacefully and even has his leg limp treated by a Sky clan doctor. Straven, Nitro and Slav convene in private talks on the roof of the mall, where it is decided that either Sky clan must surrender "most" of their guns, or Nitro must offer his life. Nitro, understandably not happy with being scapegoated, accepts the conditions on behalf of the safety of the Sky clan, earning the respect of Slav. Vinny, hearing of the conditions negotiated by Straven, is left unsatisfied and demands to have a representative enter their territory for additional peace talks after Nitro is "dealt with". Yorgun, an aggressive member of Sky, must be talked down by Nitro from escalating the situation further, putting the Sky clan entirely at the feet of the Wood clan alliance. The Chaos Reigns Arc (Antagonist: Everyone, sort of) While Nitro is being taken by the Wood clan alliance, a group of Mall Rats have found and retrieved Cheddar. On their way back to their territory, a member of the Mall Rat entourage randomly snaps and opens fire on his allies, killing Cheddar and another. For reasons unknown, the remaining Mall Rats put the blame on Sky clan, dramatically reigniting the aggression that was so close to being tentatively put to rest. Straven and Slav share a moment of mutual respect for one another before Straven descends the rope out of Sky clan's base. Nitro gives a spirited speech to Sky clan before climbing down the rope to surrender himself to the Wood alliance's custody. However, agitated Mall Rats appear and begin arguing for violence. Straven attempts to regain control of the situation, but a stray Molotov is thrown at rope ladder Nitro is climbing down. Straven, still attempting to calm the situation down, is killed in the flames. Straven is gone, and Vinny attempts to take leadership of the chaos, leading Nitro away through burning hallways and frenzied Mall Rats who take swings at the captured Sky clanner. In the midst of the confused swell of aggression, Mr EggHat (one of the Sky clan's snipers) descends and is swiftly and aggressively murdered by a member of the Mall Rats, who is himself killed shortly after, seemingly by gunfire by the Sky clan. Things settle down as Nitro is escorted to Wood clan territory, bickering with Vinny along the way over who is at fault and for what. The Sky clan, in a show of peace and outreach, accept a lone and peaceful Mall Rat into their territory, though this causes immediate tension with the aggressive Yorgun, who is incensed at Slav's threats of execution for those who disobey his orders. At the same time, another surviving Mall Rat with a vendetta against Nitro makes his way through dark and zombie filled halls to the Wood's territory. Nitro is put on a trial, arguing his relative innocence but also accepting of his fate. The extent of each Clan's respective guilt in the situation is argued, until Steakanator, the Mall Rat with a vendetta, stumbles into the trial, battered and limping, proclaiming Nitro's crimes against the Mall Rats. Vinny barely maintains control of the situation and moves his men to stage a proper trial for the fate of Nitro. Moving to a private trial room, Vinny begins the court processions before the trial is interrupted by gunshots outside the room. Vinny orders several of his men to investigate the disturbance, though Nitro elects to go himself, believing the shots to have come from Sky clanners and proclaims he will calm them. Vinny demands Nitro remain where he is, despite Nitro's insistence he will reason for the gunshots. As Nitro ignores Vinny's orders, Steakanator opens wanton fire on Nitro, killing him. Steakanator argues his actions, but is swiftly executed in turn. The Light of Day Arc With Nitro dead and everyone who wants revenge gone, things stabilize. Straven is buried and given a funeral, Slav gains control of a united and self-sufficient Sky clan, Vinny leads those who are left of the Wood alliance and everyone lives happy lives for the rest of time (or at least until they all get bored and drink bleach). Honestly it's a really cinematic story that could make a genuinely good novel, lol.
While Nitro wasn't the perfect leader, it's interesting to see essentially a child being more capable than all these grown adults. He didn't have a lot of control of his group though, which led to a lot of awkward situations where he'd get accused of doing something because of his group members. Basically, because Nitro was younger, he didn't command enough respect to prevent his group from doing stupid stuff.
He was the most competent in there lmao, you can't control the actions of random people, especially in a game where people aren't really afraid of consequences, even after killing his own, the competition just spat on him and accused him of incompetence, even after playing an almost perfect game, so he accepted to die for the consequences of his subordinates.. What's funny is that the competition killed him because of the actions of his subordinates, and then proceeded with, hypocritically, doing the exact same as nitro, not being able to control people around them and then killing the people who were causing chaos.
Nitro killed his own members to save a singular one, even though it was pointless as he never got his other member back and decided to sledge the stairs which wasn’t his plan. He just played as a tyrant and people allowed it.
Come to think of it, Jacob’s reputation for using deception tactics, and him being executed were almost the catalyst for the sequence of events that unfolded. That’s why I think he was controversially the most perfect villain in this social experiment. Even in death, he had won. We need more videos like this.
I don't see how Jacob caused anything from the latter half. Kuddles leading the zombies into Sing territory didn't involve him, and Apes only became hostile because of the one Woods Clan guy
He did not win in death. He has been consumed by his own doings and the less people like him are there, the better. Was damn entertaining, though :dddd
“You’re gonna have a trial.” Immediately followed by “Put him against the wall.” He’d made his decision, he wanted to be killer. That’s why he got petty when he didn’t get the guy on his knees. Should’ve just accepted the guy was dead.
Yea and nitro had way more accountability than vinny. Bro got to be like 5 years younger than him as well. Just cause he wanted to ego and have the kill for himself started the war. While nitro did not have a good grip on his group he still held himself accountable. Vinny just insulted him the entire time. And not once held himself accountable for the shit he caused lmao.
@@Izumiuoi agree but Nitro has a bad deal btw, if so with lot of member they can clear Vinny base and bring Kuddles copse to him That wouldn't cause any problem Btw judge on Nitro Vinny Kuddles and Jacob are the main part of chaos
Jacob is a pretty underrated character. From the pseudo-mobster accent to just running around gaslighting and robbing people, the dude was an absolute menace and fun to watch.
@@mrglayden1690 You can hear how jaded he was getting from all the bloodshed. He sounded excited at first to be the leader of such a large group. But as time went on, you could just hear how uninterested he was to be in such a position anymore.
There should be a mod for the semi-trucks so that there is a chance that a container could be a live-able container or modify it by towing it to a car repair and lifting it to modify it to make it a towable home and to tow another container for storage
At least Jacob KNEW he was being a villain, he had ONE goal, and that was chaos, and he achieved that, which is respectable, Vinny on the other hand thought he was being just, his ignorance and narcissism killed all the actual sane and just people. There are two types of villains in these scenarios, ones who want to watch the world burn through chaos, and ones who burn the world through ignorance
Same can be said about Onetiredslav. Most of the leaders were sociopaths who either abused their power or wanted to steal powers. Onetiredslav threatening to kick his own leader is where everything got worse with Sky
Yeah, Nitro did nothing wrong. Vinny should have shut that guy who was egging them both on up. Instead, he threatened to kill Nitro for justifiably running away.
@CoopsNME no he was the catalyst that allowed chaos to pour out, it would've been him or vinnyboy causing mayhem and I prefer Jacob lol. His story mightve been a tad long but man was against a whole mall
@@pickledokra2963 nah he was trying way too hard to be the main character. I think chaos would have occurred regardless and more naturally too. Would have been way more interesting to see some of the later developments earlier on but instead everyone was focused on this bozo running around and acting like what an 11 year old thinks a tough guy is.
Vinny is a bad leader, Nitro was trying to make peace with them but he just wanted to shoot them because Nitro sensed danger and ran away. Vinny keeps rejecting peace negotiations, even when Nitro was offered by the Sky Clan faction leader. 57:20 Vinny: we're giving you a fair trial Nitro: Let me explain myself Vinny: you're not gonna explain anything Sure Vinny, *VERY FAIR* trial right there 😂😂😂
When Nitro came with Kuddles' corpse Vinny actually seemed fine with it but some dumbass in his clan kept shouting "VINNY WANTED TO DO IT!" which scared off Nitro. I'm sure if that moron didn't screech out the way he did things would've been more chill.
the weak always hates on the strong its gonna happen. the strong will always target the weak given enough time. however sky seemed isolationist, so wood and the other groups had to force conflict.
@zengravy1878 not really a joke. He just wanted violence not a joke. His goal in the long run happen but not because of his actions. His actions more solidified the unity of the community.
That vinny guy is the type of guy who always wants to be a mod or admin because they're desperate to feel important and they want to be the person with the power to yell at people and ban them because they feel exluded and unwanted elsewhere so having the power to do that to someone else is their insecure way of reminding themselves their involved in something
Caused the entire war between sky clan and them by throwing a tantrum and killing someone when Nitro walked away and then tried to pretend he was a better leader
The way Kuddles threats their teammates, tells them how good they will be without them and maniacally laugh just to be shut by the bullet of Nitro feels straight up from a movie, of the good guy snapping and killing the bad guy mid monologue
honestly, if they hadn't killed Kuddles and instead tried to utilize a few more hordes in the same way as before, they could have probably weakened the other clans without risking much themselves. As it was, Kuddle's idea of just destroying the stairs was a good one. And I don't think they ever got Ruff back, making killing Kuddles worthless
what makes that even better is that minutes later they immediately start doing Kuddles' plan and isolate themselves from everyone else so they had a "the villain was right all along" moment which really adds to the cinematics of it all
@@numbron803 Nah, he was a worthless leader and it took him 50 minutes to find out. He killed Kuddles because he pissed him off, not to avoid war. Notice how he runs away after delivering the corpse rather than negotiating. Then, oof, he does exactly as Kuddles proposed, but being 1 man less, and taking shots for it for running away from the negotiations. Then there are some guys shooting from the roof, and he does not notice? There's nothing to do on that roof! Keep an eye on your teammates! He was so bad, the team knew and he knew, so he killed himself to get out of that embarassment.
its so annoying how when nitro says something like "just kill me already" vinny will be like "bruh why we're giving you a fair trial" and when nitro trys to explain himself vinny just shoots it down and gets mad at him (see example here 57:23) honestly i think vinny was the most toxic and chaotic person in the mall prolly even more than jacob.
Can't even tell if Jacob was even roleplaying a villain or just straight up playing a griefer. Still, he gave me 10 minutes of entertainment and satisfaction of no one entertaining his intention.
He was real psycho. I watched his face when he played and manipulated people. I am middle aged man with experience in human behavior so to say. :) I can smell psychos and trouble from far away. This clip was really interesting too watch for someone like me.
@@aleksejjovanovic986 Dude is a typical tiny hat wearer. Look at his name and listen to his accent. Genetically predisposed to instigate problems. Props if it was an act, but damn this dude really took to it naturally.
@@Peaches-i2i I watched another clip with same guy, he was "niceguy" in this one without accent. Im telling you, a real psycho. I dont buy that he is good actor. I mean all actors are psychos, that is why they can pretend as they do. :)
Nitro couldn't have known that everything would go south like that. I respect the decision to deal with Kuddles for his insubordination and recklessness. And they said Nitro was incompetent!
On God Nitro is hilarious because he seems to be the youngest (sounding) person on the entire server and yet he was one of the most mature people and handled things as best as he could have. Incredible how much other people instigated for no reason. Nitro was RPing while everyone else was impatiently causing chaos or trying to play call of duty
There should be a mod for the semi-trucks so that there is a chance that a container could be a live-able container or modify it by towing it to a car repair and lifting it to modify it to make it a towable home and to tow another container for storage
@@TehHAuxaRs see and that's the saddest part the fact that probably the youngest one of them all was a better leader and more competent then most of the "adults" coupled with the amount of people hating on nitro in the comments is just so sad. really puts a perspective on life as a whole nothing but a bunch of idiots.
I hate ppl like Jacob IRL. That being said, he was the perfect antagonist for this story, very very entertaining. I'm sure this guy was playing a character. Bravo Mr. Jacob, the Oscar goes to you 👏🏻👏🏻
It’s actually kind of hilarious in the other video he’s in he is literally the nicest person and creates peace between the two major factions avoiding a war altogether. He really wanted to do a full 180
Nitro was the real G. He collected a large group, led them to a safe haven, didn't abandon his people, fought for peace, personally executed one of his own people that were working against the group, took tough decisions to protect his group, even when they were being difficult, and sacrificed himself to achieve peace for his peopl.e
@jmbec62 nah, cuddles and a couple other members went rogue, taking actions behind nitro's back and then trying to gaslight the group against him. That's not bad leadership, the rogues were bad teammates. The group was doing just fine before they acted out of line
@oniviper nah he was out of sync with his team and their gameplan. He couldn't handle conflict, which was the whole point of taking the roof. Cuddles saved the game from being milk-toast and boring, and was the defacto leader of the clan before Nitro killed him. He was too concerned with displeasing the other teams instead of playing the cards dealt. No one wanted to work with Sky at that point, and him giving himself up was again the easy out. A good leader would have went to war and burned the rest of the map
@jmbec62 I won't lie that cuddles brought some entertainment to the video with the horde, but if nitro sided with him the video would've been even more milquetoast (correct spelling by the way, not that it matters). Sky would've just waited it out on the roof with the high ground, food, and water, without ever needing a reason to go below. And I wouldn't say nitro was out of sync, those guys never even brought up the plan to him at all. Didn't even end up being a group discussion. They acted alone out of selfishness. In a real world scenario (which I think many were trying to roleplay), their actions were reckless and dangerous to the survival of the group. For the sake of entertainment, they could've easily coordinated with nitro and the rest of the group to enact a much more coherent plan, starting with the horde. They made for bad leadership overall
@@derdox6720 I watched several times 36:14 and could only hear Vinnyboi shouting to "stop" and Sky saying "run run run, get out of here" and after that Vinnyboi said "Come back or you're gonna die. Fuck this, kill them all". Sure gotta be fair but at no point in this moment I heard "get the guns". Running away from a guy yelling at you to stop running while he's having a gun and threatening you doesn't make you a warmonger, imo. Also, the guy lost a base and some ressources and gets the head of the guy who did this but still decides to "kill them all". What kind of justice is extermination for a loss of ressources?
@@SuperKiki93 they talked about the conversation later, towards the end of the video, with vinny saying he heard the "get the guns" line and nitro not denying it, just saying it was a misunderstanding, so i treat it as him having said it. they ran away before vinny did any of that. i won't go back and listen again, but he said something to the effect of "nitro come in here" and honestly, with how fast they were all gone, i am not even sure nitro even heard that bit. sky just noticed that just putting a corpse in front of the wood guys and saying "this guy did it" wasn't enough for them and started sprinting back to their base immediately. not really what happened from the perspective of woods and i don't understand why you make it about justice when it never was about that. woods wanted the guy that brought the zombies to them and said very clearly that once they have him, so they could kill him themselves, they will be open to peace negotiations. sky then brought a corpse and basically expected everything to be resolved and when vinny said to come in and negotiate they ran to their base.
@@derdox6720 "not denying it" Yes false accusation exists, and just because you don't deny does not make you guilty. And you are the one that said that we gotta be fair, so let's just keep to the facts. From our perspective Vinnyboi is clearly the one who started the violence. And yes, he said that once they got the guy they would kill him, however later in the video he said that it was about justice and that he did not want him to be killed. I am talking about justice because Vinnyboi is the one bringing the subject at the end of the video while he's talking about Nitro's trial: little does he know that in fact he should also be put in a trial as he was the first to draw blood. However, the facts had become fuzzy in his mind perhaps and he forgot to what extent he contributed to all the violence that happened later. We can debate it all we can, 36:15 has everything you need to know, even if you don't wan't to rewatch it. He drew blood for shady motives and later made false accusations.
I swear the concept of "some men just like to watch the world burn" truly applies in these games. You get a game of 100 and there will ALWAYS be a Jacob somewhere. Some are more successful then others but stopping them before they cause too much discord should be the top priority. Im glad they stopped him before he caused too many issues. RIP Ranger, you truly did nothing wrong aside from being in a room alone with a sociopath.... Side note, I have mad respect for Nitro, his leadership was actually pretty admirable, i remember playing online as a kid and the difficulties it took for older players to see you as an equal (until you kicked their asses over and over again) so him maintaining a group like this is pretty impressive! He'll be a force to be reckoned with when he gets older. They did my boi Nitro dirty tho, he GENUNELY did nothing wrong they just took advantage of him and used him as a scape goat....
It's a game. Winning by being the last one standing was an option, it's not like the challenge really was about building a peaceful society, because everyone would leave from boredom.
i believe jacob was only half as bad as vinny, vinny was a true bipolar villain wanting nothing but death nitros trial was wack one second he says its a fair trial then telling him to stfu like what?? lmao
41:21 LMAO vinny leading all the clans outside and exposing them to the sniper that was shooting them like 2 seconds ago is peak leadership😂. Bro didnt have a plan and was hasty. I wouldnt trust this guy leading a dog by a leash
In this corner, the sniper-spotter pair ready to clean house! In the other corner, the... oblivious mob of easy targets? Wait that can't be ri-(gunshots)
Nirto was not the most competent, but he has a far better character than Vinny. It is so bitter to see people like Vinny whilst Nitro tried his best. He was not competent, no, but he was far more mature than Vinny, who, I bet, was older than him.
The editing style and narration are awesome in this man! Great storytelling, it was wicked how you compiled everyone’s pov and focused on different moments when the time was right. Really hope to see more stuff like this from you! Keep up the great work, Cheers
My heart goes to Nitro. He wasn't the best leader or the most intimidating. At first I took him as a punk as kid but damn. He did it from the heart. It's maybe a game but it didn't let it rule his heart. His decision was that of courage and heroism, doing what's best not just for his clan but for the better good of the mall. That's what a true hero looks like, not with wits or strength but to move communities with the human heart.
@@MasterCookies his intentions were pure but miscalculated, I agree. A lack of management is what brough his end. If it wasn't for the lack of experience I reckon he would have made Sky a powerhouse.
Probably my favorite in this episode. Dude was prob still a kid (Judging by his voice), yet he showed many traits of an admirable leader, even going as far as sacrificing himself for a goal and purpose that he believed was for the good of the mall. Kids heart is in the right place and i think he has it in him to be a great leader some day
This has got to to be the most fun thing I've ever done and I'm so happy to have played in this event also yes my Brain is in fact very smooth but I tried my best. (also vinny is a cool guy yall got chill out)
I find it admirable that you’ve tried to bring peace and was willing to hold yourself accountable in a world full of raging egos and violence at that mall. Says a lot about your character. Good shit!
You killed it Nitro. Your group was too big and confusion ran rampant. You not only did your best, you did the best. There was nothing more that could be done once the collapse started. But you kept going. I hope to see more of you man.
You honestly had the most level head of any group leader on that server lmao. Calling yourself smooth brained is like Einstein calling himself an idiot while surrounded by people with room temp IQs
Jacob was a villain who knew his role and reveled in it. Though his plan would have worked a lot better if he painted himself as the victim instead raving about revenge and war all the time lol. That attitude and his wording may have tipped others off.
kinda impossible to control his clan. hell i lead clans before and one or two are gonna cause issues with other clans. your job as the leader is either back them fully or punish them for their actions. personally after seeing how incompetent and warmongering the other factions were kuddles was right and sky shouldve focused on destroying the wood clan as they were the most aggro.
@@Brayboom2x Nitro is good, aight? But sometimes as a leader, when something threatens your group, you take care of it first, Wood Clan was very aggressive, if I led that group, I'd have prioritized wiping them for the sake of not just Sky but other groups as well. Kuddles was on point on this one.
Man I gotta say Nitro was right against Vinny. What was he supposed to do? Kuddlez wouldn’t listen. If Vinny wanted to kill him so bad he should’ve gone up there. Instead he caused more and more problems because he didn’t get exactly what he wanted. I honestly blame a lot of the aggression on Vinny after that point. If it wasn’t for him peace would’ve been maintained for longer
Bless the zomboid dev for making one of the most immersive zombie games ever, even the bit with the sniping is chilling as it's exactly the amount of helplessness one feels in that horrid situation. I like how Vinny's lack of self awareness was the real villian of the story he had a chance to defuse the situation but refused to show emotional restraint a man blinded by anger of losing his base and blinded by his need for revenge rather than justice. What's worse is the people around him ate it up due to the situation and not one person attempted to really reel him in and deal with him. Fear a human driven by emotion for when a situation calls for logic they will instead choose a path of fire and bloodshed.
@@Harvest0 Hopefully you’re ok with constructive criticism. but I’m not sure that really applies with this game, I watched all your edited videos involving “social experiments” on zomboid, halfway watching the unedited amusement park video right now. But the benefit of having death notifications off who is killed by who allows for more flexibility and character development to grow in events like these if you do them often (main example is Jacob, if you scroll through the comments, a lot of people were interested in his story but unfortunately, either due to his intentional blunt role-play or inability to manipulate situations verbally better he could not get very far with that storyline. Disabling this feature would allow moments like Ranger being killed by him far more interesting but even if it was off, he wouldn’t have even get away with it) All the videos so far People usually stick to a group of two or more very rarely ever going off by themselves which is typical for this game. A lot of examples I saw in your civilization video where the whole map was unlocked with the cultist and the kingdom a lot of times whenever somebody was under attack or died and gave no death notification on who killed them because of bleed damage the group under fire usually can guess very quickly on who is attacking them either because of how Zomboid view system is right now (little jank) or the handy little faction tags that the people in these videos use. (Checking the unedited streams also back this up.) I think you’re viewing this More from a Rust perspective considering your other videos on the “ civilization” videos. This game allows a little bit more and it would honestly probably speed up the process of some of these projects from people taking more risks Instead of standing around doing nothing but building and collecting supplies for a good bit. (I’m not saying remove factions because as nitro showed you have it enabled to where you can enable PVP against faction members making betrayals much more interesting instead of what you had in the other video I referenced which just had somebody being a rat and sending discord pictures and telling them exactly where faction members are in realtime) Because so far the basic formula is basically faction wars or a multiple team death match until a stalemate or the more aggressive people are killed out instead of what an actual civilization simulator could be. I can’t imagine how tedious these projects are from having to spectate the people, and watching hoping that you get the right moments recorded but my recommendation would be whoever you have That dies in the event, possibly be able to spectate and record other people they are interested in that or they know. Don’t know how many people you have if any that also help you record ins spectate because I’ve noticed some other admins invisible walking around too. Could be similar to how SMP Minecraft servers are where the majority are streaming (Only a reference/a suggestion because you never know how much of a problem stream sniping would be) You could set up rules and guidelines on how they could have their footage used in your video if they don’t have anything glaringly in the way of the recording I.e. webcams and such) Can’t think of anything else right now, apologies for any typos or confusing lines of texts because I am making eggs right now Edit: A couple of good mods that replicate 7 days to die mechanic's and other horde mods would also be neat to look into for more events like "the air drop" for example, to shake up the pace if things are going too slow or uninteresting, feels like a real lack of zombie threats in these zombie apocalypse civilization videos
@@andrejohnson8554 Nitro was a just and righteous person. Power doesnt mean you watch the world burn. Empathetic people like nitro inspire. He would have been the best leader in the long term.

Nitro was actually the best leader. He made good calls and was very honorable being the best choice for peace in my opinion. He stood for what any good leader should, peace and justice.
Nitro carried so hard. Nitro was nerfed by: Undiplomatic Vinny, Narcissistic Kuddles. I mean, Kuddles was right, but all for the wrong causations and reasons. Also, if Jacob was in negative Diplomacy, Vinny is barely has any. To the point it scared Nitro into running... As who the hell threats their leader to enter into their place rather than a diplomatic spot??? The casualties were Vinny's fault for shooting the bullet, declaring war, and committing (etnic) genocide against Sky with no room for diplomacy, even burning the mall down. As casualties are always blamed by the aggressors(Vinny).(Except for some justified irl cases)
Nitro made the worst decisions for himself and his clan. He threw his teammates to the stake, he should have kept his team together and fought everyone.

What does it say about your leadership that you let your people do what ever they want with not punishment.
its a video game dude its not that deep, it would have been so boring without them. If there was no conflicts then it would just be people surviving zombies and living in a mall that would be so lame

You forgot to mention that at the start, The LEG Clan provided the food for the WOOD clan and formed an alliance with them, later Apron visited the LEG clan and was talking IF they should kill them and LEG warned WOOD about APE clan that they’re hostile. After that incident the LEG faction changed the Base thinking that APE would be mad at them for escaping from them
Was lotta fun being involved in this, getting kidnapped by WOOD and SING because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and just wanted to bury my friend was WILD but made for a lot of really fun RP in the end and I appreciate them for sparing me and showing kindness when they were always SO close to executing me XD RIP Nitro. Hella fun, was the best staying-up-to-3am of my life lmao
I bet it was funner then watching. As a viewer everything was too unorganized and it all formed into a mob after what kuddles did, which could have lead to a great rp but Vinny literaly killed the role play by yelling and creating that brain rot mob mentality. @@dimitrihalfking7126 Yeah, I was originally with SKY but after my friend died and I just wanted to bury him I eventually left the faction to save my own skin when I was taken hostage XD then went solo in like the last hour, burying bodies I came across and just having a chill time while everyone else was at war with each other lol. Ultimately, as much as Vinny almost executed me several times, we made up and forgave each other which was a very sweet moment for me, but yes I'm glad I wasn't too involved with the war lol and WOOD was pretty neutral and chill. At least from what I can remember, this was done what like 2 months ago maybe? ^-^
Why can't they understand that Nitro can't take Cuddles to them without him resisting so he had to put him down, it's literally impossible without a game function to cuff and drag a man to another place, what an idiot leader sheeeesh

Anarchy "he did nothing wrong, he posed no threat, he got no trial." that was some smooth brain thinking when he was kiting a hoard of zombies into an opposing base. both Anarchy, and Kuddles have no strategy.
@BlackRifleCrono It all started with Seabass' death. Even though he was a menace, he stabilized the mall through fear. Jacob died and things normalized but Seabass dying brought chaos with a lack of an apex predator😢
That is the sad reality of diplomacy with a tyrant. You can be as pacifist, altruistic or diplomatic as you wish, but if your opponent is an angry tyrant, no amount of negotiations can help you.
Just got back into zomboid again with some friends and came back to this channel. God these videos are so good, the plotlines with all the different factions clashing and there always being one or two groups causing chaos is just peak zomboid content lol. Also i don't think i've ever seen a leader as bad as nitro in these videos. Basically every single fight except a couple early deaths were by his hands, even if indirectly. He had too big of a faction and had no clue how to control them.
Nitro had the high ground and the ability to completely kill everyone else in the mall easily, and still chose peace. He may have been a fool, but you can't deny he was a good man.
It’s wild how at the start Sky caused all of the issues with everyone because of one member creating justified hatred but then through Nitro’s own diplomacy redeemed themselves while the other groups became the villains
Yeah, Sky took accountability and wanted to arrest (but were forced to kill) the one member that had caused this whole bullshit. But Vinny was a vengeful madman and wanted Sky dead at all cost even despite their show of good faith.
and yurgen was the only ADULT who stood up for the KID who was more mature than them. honestly, everyone over the age of 20 in this should be ashamed, and i know some of them are 30+.
Vinny had that Tyrant leadership. He demanded things againts sky with an iron fist, wich that led to more confrontation when he didn't got what he exactly wanted (Kuddels himself on his knees). In wich, he reacted so aggresively sky chose hostility because of it and that led to a bloodshed of Betrayal, Madness, Chaos, Arguments and...In the end...Just 2 people (YaBoyJesus and Geigo) who got their peace in their afterlife by drinking Bleach and recaping every tragedy that led them both in this situation. So interesting and intense that it deserves a movie on itself. Great video and it's theme!!
If we didn't have peacekeepers the actions of the antagonistic few wouldn't be as impactful. Chaos is fun but only if there is an opposite force acting against it, otherwise it's just a PVP mess and that's kind of boring. Also seeing people try to fight off said chaos is equally as fun as the chaos. Nitro was definitely a highlight of this video, props to him.
Read this comment and completely in events like this many of the moments wouldn’t happen if certain people don’t act evil or crazy as it adds tension and drama
The whole Kuddles thing was so wild. He came off as insane, but was objectively doing the best thing strategically for the clan. He just went outside the authority structure and caused an international crisis. A visionary rejected for being ahead of his time. Many such cases. That’s why I love these videos.
You could write a character essay about a good handful of these people. So many villains, all different and complex. The angry liar, the uncontrollable psychopath, a peaceful man turned vengeful for a mistake, id call Vinny an anti-hero, and Nitro led a clan too big to control and took the fall for it all.
If Jacob was not so hostile and playing some type of new york wise guy he could have done a lot more damage with his plans. Play nice. And lie with a smile.
He’s a very promising Jew for certain. He’s got the talent, he just needs to develop it a little more. Maybe the knowledge that it’d be a short event clouded his judgement. He had the right gameplan, but his tempo was off. Really hope I get to watch him in action again someday.

No, infact it's the zombies and crazed people like him that create peace momentarily, common enemies always make everybody friends. It's when they start gaining power over the other faction is when chaos starts
I was leading the mall rats we heard this mf and brought the smaller groups to fight back turns out it was all propaganda
In the short term, sure, but they'd get put down soon enough, just like Jacob himself. In the long term, people like Kuddles and Vinny were far worse. Jacob was too inefficient and unhinged to cause any real trouble.

I wondered how they always knew bc I didn't see the little chat box. But yeah it shouldn't be a thing

All you said is absolute bars, would make the whole thing a lot more interesting, and it was already really good.

I screamed when I realized that the reason the Responder guy didn't shoot when he was getting his ass beat was because he didn't have ammo. This is a whole ass movie.
It even has arcs lol.
The Start Arc (Minor antagonist: Seabass, Jacob)
Simple arc, battles and people taking leadership of the mass of players.
The Jacob Arc (Antagonist: Jacob, his cousin)
Seabass is gone, and Jacob has full 'control' of being the mall's public menace.
The Airdrop Arc (Antagonist: the horde, minor antagonist: Outter-clan AND inner-clan conflict, Kuddles)
Jacob is gone and the clans can return to focusing primarily on stockpiling and future-building.
The Clan War Arc (Antagonist: Kuddles, his Sky clan supporters)
Tensions are at an all out breaking point.
The Alliance Arc (Antagonist: The Sky clan)
Sky clan is in a position of dominance in the mall.
(continued)
The Negotiation Arc (Antagonist: Everyone, sort of)
Hostility is brought down upon Sky clan, whose leadership struggles to understand what is happening.
The Chaos Reigns Arc (Antagonist: Everyone, sort of)
While Nitro is being taken by the Wood clan alliance, a group of Mall Rats have found and retrieved Cheddar.
The Light of Day Arc
With Nitro dead and everyone who wants revenge gone, things stabilize. Straven is buried and given a funeral, Slav gains control of a united and self-sufficient Sky clan, Vinny leads those who are left of the Wood alliance and everyone lives happy lives for the rest of time (or at least until they all get bored and drink bleach).

While Nitro wasn't the perfect leader, it's interesting to see essentially a child being more capable than all these grown adults. Basically, because Nitro was younger, he didn't command enough respect to prevent his group from doing stupid stuff.
Honestly, he seemed considerably better than his competition. He only died because he chose to accept accountability for his clan's actions.

That vinny guy is the type of guy who always wants to be a mod or admin because they're desperate to feel important and they want to be the person with the power to yell at people and ban them because they feel exluded and unwanted elsewhere so having the power to do that to someone else is their insecure way of reminding themselves their involved in something
My thoughts exactly. That guy was insufferable, and his scratchy, whiny voice certainly wasn’t helping.
Exactly
Definitely a neck beard
Glad I’m not the only one he was so annoying
Caused the entire war between sky clan and them by throwing a tantrum and killing someone when Nitro walked away and then tried to pretend he was a better leader
The way Kuddles threats their teammates, tells them how good they will be without them and maniacally laugh just to be shut by the bullet of Nitro feels straight up from a movie, of the good guy snapping and killing the bad guy mid monologue
and then Nitro sacrificed himself for peace, when he never really did anything wrong besides being a bad leader.. truly a hero straight from a movie!
and they just found out they couldnt kick Kuddles out of the group because he was the Leader!!!
honestly, if they hadn't killed Kuddles and instead tried to utilize a few more hordes in the same way as before, they could have probably weakened the other clans without risking much themselves.

Then there are some guys shooting from the roof, and he does not notice? There's nothing to do on that roof! Keep an eye on your teammates!

Really need to turn off death notifications, takes away a lot of possibilities when you just know who killed who
Nah it'd turn into a murder mystery, every death would be an investigation and ruin any story
(Checking the unedited streams also back this up.)
I think you’re viewing this More from a Rust perspective considering your other videos on the “ civilization” videos.
Could be similar to how SMP Minecraft servers are where the majority are streaming (Only a reference/a suggestion because you never know how much of a problem stream sniping would be) You could set up rules and guidelines on how they could have their footage used in your video if they don’t have anything glaringly in the way of the recording I.e. webcams and such)
Can’t think of anything else right now, apologies for any typos or confusing lines of texts because I am making eggs right now
Edit: A couple of good mods that replicate 7 days to die mechanic's and other horde mods would also be neat to look into for more events like "the air drop" for example, to shake up the pace if things are going too slow or uninteresting, feels like a real lack of zombie threats in these zombie apocalypse civilization videos

Was lotta fun being involved in this, getting kidnapped by WOOD and SING because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and just wanted to bury my friend was WILD but made for a lot of really fun RP in the end and I appreciate them for sparing me and showing kindness when they were always SO close to executing me XD
RIP Nitro.
Your group seemed to be the only group that stayed roleplaying after you got kidnapped the rest were just like WHOS FAULT WAS IT WAS YOU? KILL HIM!! WAIT NO, WAIT YES!! It was very hard to watch tbh.
@@legionary-gamer He was the dude who was kept hostage by wood
@@futloop-we7sv Yeah XD, all I wanted from them was a shovel !
@@subject8657 I felt so bad for you ngl you were an innocent dude
Jacob was scarily good at playing a raging, manipulative guy with narcissistic personality disorder.
Why can't they understand that Nitro can't take Cuddles to them without him resisting so he had to put him down, it's literally impossible without a game function to cuff and drag a man to another place, what an idiot leader sheeeesh
Easy question. He actually wanted this war.
@@JackieBlade1 agreed, why were they so pressed about a guy getting killed that they wanted to kidnap? because they looked for a reason to escalate
They needed an excuse to go to a losing war
NItro was the glue that held that group together. What a lad. Huge respect.
Bro he sucked as a leader
@@mlodyboro7856 Leadership cannot negate men with no respect. He was dealt a bad hand, but around every turn he made the best possible decisions.
@@senselesseldritch Plus, the dude had a voice that sounded like a kid. I can't think of any person on there that would actually respect a voice like his- regardless of what his words were. Great leader, but impossible job... Not that WOOD helped any either. Vinny couldn't handle getting Kuddles gift-wrapped and bow-tied right to him, so he threw a tantrum.
Vinny: We're giving you a fair trial.
Nitro: Well, let me-
Vinny: SHUT UP, WE ARE GIVING YOU A FAIR TRIAL.
Vinny made me more angry than Jacob. At least Jacob wasn't in charge of anyone except his gullible friend.
Real. Vinny shouldn't be invited to any more of these events.

BANG "He wouldn't cooperate". Nice.
nah that was so cringe
I mean tbh, a minute in the video, I wasn't surprised to hear a child becoming the strongest leader in the server, I'd follow him too
The ACTUAL CHILD was the most reasonable person in this whole damn video! Are the adults grown up? Is that what being a grown up means? That's what I am supposed to become? Like all those narcissistic bullies?
@@LeonardNemoy Yikes. Timmy, go play with your dolls.
@LeonardNemoy I think it was just them trying to fit into the roleplay 💀 (I would too tho)

@@Krystalmyth Yikes. Timmy, go play with your dolls.
Anarchy "he did nothing wrong, he posed no threat, he got no trial." that was some smooth brain thinking when he was kiting a hoard of zombies into an opposing base. both Anarchy, and Kuddles have no strategy.
Ngl kuddles might´ve had no strategy but he sure made things more exiting.
Vinny's blabbing cause more damage than Jacob ever did. You can't change my mind.
Jacob caused chaos, Vinny caused the wars
@BlackRifleCrono It all started with Seabass' death. Even though he was a menace, he stabilized the mall through fear. Jacob died and things normalized but Seabass dying brought chaos with a lack of an apex predator😢
RIP Jacob, the star of the mall.
Nitro was too nice for this world. My guy tried to make everyone happy and that’s just impossible anywhere lol. Good video
That is the sad reality of diplomacy with a tyrant. You can be as pacifist, altruistic or diplomatic as you wish, but if your opponent is an angry tyrant, no amount of negotiations can help you.
Vinnyboy calling Nitro incompetent when he is the real incompetent one
Thats one hell of a plot twist, Kuddles being leader. One hell of a Coup d'état.
Jacob went from advocating for peace in rebuilding civilization to causing chaos and mass hysteria in the mall.
It’s wild how at the start Sky caused all of the issues with everyone because of one member creating justified hatred but then through Nitro’s own diplomacy redeemed themselves while the other groups became the villains
Well put,it's exactly what happened 😂
Yeah, Sky took accountability and wanted to arrest (but were forced to kill) the one member that had caused this whole bullshit. But Vinny was a vengeful madman and wanted Sky dead at all cost even despite their show of good faith.
nitro was the real hero of this story
and yurgen was the only ADULT who stood up for the KID who was more mature than them.
honestly, everyone over the age of 20 in this should be ashamed, and i know some of them are 30+.
"No don't explain anything we're giving you a fair trial" huh?
"We're having a trial, get against the wall".
Soviet-style trial lol.
They rarely survive for long, but these events always need people like Kuddles and Jacob. They help stop hours of handholding.
You’re the only person to put this in a way that doesn’t lambast Nitro for trying to get peace and I appreciate that.
@@ItsLouisnotLouiswell said man
Definetly! Both villains did their job extremely well. Without them, This interesting and entertaining conflict would never happened.
Read this comment and completely in events like this many of the moments wouldn’t happen if certain people don’t act evil or crazy as it adds tension and drama
"You calling me a murderer?!" LMAO!

The whole Kuddles thing was so wild. He came off as insane, but was objectively doing the best thing strategically for the clan. He just went outside the authority structure and caused an international crisis. A visionary rejected for being ahead of his time. Many such cases. That’s why I love these videos.
His actions lead to the thing he was trying to avoid, a true self fulfilled prophecy
Absolutely. Bro should've given random gifts and helped people out to ingratiate himself with them and been friendly.
