Thank you Crimson for the review and kind words. The idea of making workshop bays is a good one, I may do that at some point in the near future. I'm looking at coming back to this mod in the near future too, for updating the weapons lockers to be containers that will have guns and ammo you can take without messing with the look of the locker. and to fix the floating rug in the stroud hab you looked at. The flip version of the bays you looked at are decorated too and all of them have their own decorated designs. Nice video and again, thank you.
So very cool. For immersion’s sake alone this is a must have for me. A bit more refinement to make these functional, and hopefully expanded to include vehicles, and we are really talking
Neat concept for a mod. A lot of loose objects to bang around during take off, flight, and landing. What would really be neat is having an airlock system with spacesuit displays. You can close the bay, store your suit, "decon," and then enter the ship. Or reverse that order when preparing to go outside. Of course, having to go through all of those steps might not be attractive to everyone. I suppose that we are talking a mod here though. Entirely optional.
Replacers are always nice to have. I'm not to keen on having weapons stored at an access point to my ship, not that I can be boarded, but it is a consideration. Having plants in the bay also doesn't really make sense. What if there's no atmosphere or there's an extreme environment? None the less, it's a nice mod.
I love this mod. I talked with Groove about a decontamination hab for the sake of role-playing to get rid of germs and those persky leaches as he said 😅 and that's what he came out with 👌 He did an amazing job as always 👌 I suggested to have weapon and space suit display but everything felt off the ship upon takeoff 😅 Thank you for the review @crimsonflyboy 👌
Just downloaded the mod it looks really good any mod that changes the way anything looks is a very cool mod . Ive been modding sf since day one my favorite type of mods is the little life changing ones. Modder did a great job with this
As always a great preview/review. I am kinda turned off by all of the unorganized and unsecured cargo. The hazmat decontamination is really cool! For me the obstructed side windows being used as shelves is a turn-off, I prefer the unobstructed view of the vanilla landing bay with side windows that give me a clear view of any pirates or creatures lurking on the sides of my ship. I wish that this mod author or another would make a landing bays mod that featured the (3) main functional crafting tables: industrial/weapons/spacesuit in their original design or an abbreviated design - if the the landing bays were large enough to accommodate such. Also, a functional ship’s cargo hold access panel in the landing bay would be awesome! Being that the furnishings editor already has several types of freight dollies and wheeled carts - at least one of these, in a secured configuration, would add a bit more realism for role playing purposes. This is a fantastic mod that will appeal to many, but for me, just to get the hazmat decontamination and the weapons racks it is not an incentive enough to switch.
I love these mod review videos they are so useful at this point I think I've seen enough of these videos I might as well just subscribe this guy does really good work reviewing mods and he's my go-to reviewer for when I want to know more about a mod keep up the amazing work!
I agree with you, that it would be better as additional parts instead of a replacer, so we could still choose to have Empty Bays if we wanted it, and the workbench idea was great. Also, as a replacer, every NPC ship would have the same layout, making it feel less unique than if it was just our ship. The greatest strength of this Creation, as you pointed out, is that it feels "lived in," and it reminds me of how well Elianora does her clutter. However, since this is a replacer, I may wait to see if the Author changes it.
Looks great. A nice touch to the Cargo Bay. My only criticism is the unsecured cargo in the Cargo Bay. Take off, landing, space combat is going to send everything unsecured flying around, so some things need to be more secured down. The Ammo Stash in the Cargo Bay is really cool as you can pick or select weapons on exit or ship re-entry.
In addition to having the option for either/or, I would also like to have alternate entrances. Ex: instead of having a ladder going up it’s a door (I’m well aware that there’s a mod for this but I’m talking about in this style). Also, would be cool if there are “vehicle centric” versions. As in, ones that are designed for you to drive right into them as well as ones with garage doors so it looks like there is a garage inside the ship rather than the landing bay doubling as a a garage. A big problem I have with some of the decorations is what about when you land on a planet or moon with a hostile atmosphere like Venus or no atmosphere like Luna? The plants would instantly die and the artwork would be ruined On a separate note, Crimson, next time you review a mod that adds landing bays and/or cockpits, maybe use the multiple landing bay/cockpit mods so you can just build one large ship with all of them so you’re not constantly going back and forth between the ship and the ship builder/technician
Yeah, I would want interactivity… What I am hoping some mod author does is make a landing bay and docker that either fit closely (since I think having one do both bay and docker would not work). Also, side is my preferred bay, always. And would love a 2x1 side bay that had a ramp and space to park the REV8 (or other vehicle).
Thanks to @Grooves_Games for the mod and @Crimson for the commentary. Love the work making the bays look like my garage (organized chaos). If only the weapons storage could be a) that neat in the game and b) tied to your inventory.😂
Cool look, but the unsecured cargo would likely get trashed during takeoff or landing. I spied an unsecured hammer in that Stroud bay, which you wouldn't want rattling around and striking things. But maybe that view is skewed a bit from all the combat the player does. From a lore standpoint, I always wished the HopeTech landing bay had a full on elevator platform for the purposes of moving large cargo on planets.
This is something that I wanted to see in Matiljias latest landing bay. Which is still very cool. But the thing that bothers me. Is that he has crafting stations inside of it. Especially the cooking station 😂. Look I am not complaining about a free mod but I am questioning why is there crafting station inside the landing bay? Most of all a cooking station 😂. So I can make a Winnie roast before exploring the moon? With no gravity, no atmosphere and no way to eat my food? Without taking my helmet off and dying from depressurization 😂. So in my opinion. The crating stations inside Matiljias landing bay. Makes no sense. And it takes my immersion away. So I don’t use the landing bay. However the rest of his mod is awesome. 😊
Yes, this is a fine piece of work that reflects a great talent, but as a pilot, I can't get into having all that junk rattling around on my ship. Sure, we have a grav system that holds everything thing down, but to me all that mass loose in the "garage" prohibits me from suspending this measure of disbelief. Everyone's level is different. This is too much for me. The other parts of my ship reflect this. I don't use mods that fill my habs with fireplaces or cocktail bars. Everything, to the extent of the game's design, is tight and somewhat stowed away. Now, what I WOULD like obviously, are more bay options. Duh. Again, fine work Grooves and I'm _NOT JEALOUS_ ;) that you are way more skilled than I will ever be, but no thanks. Enjoy this work folks, I'm out. Thanks Crim, S
Plz do the new high level weapons mod but make sure u check to see if it covers only vanilla weapons or does it also add the new shattered space dlc weaponry like the Varuun starlash. And also check to see if it works with modded weaponry like the new mini cutter weapon mod (which is very op 😆 & achievement friendly) I just hate that it's a 1 handed version if a 2 handed cutter like bruh y couldn't use a new different model.
I haven't touched starfield after my save was completely fucked by a bunch of half-baked mods that Bethesda allowed thru... So It always freezes loading into most planets and then crashes sometimes I fall through the ship or the map I haven't felt need the really start over

a decontamination arch would a nice touch for when you get done exploring hazardous environs

Nice little mod. Anything that’s adds a little bit extra to ship building and immersion is a nice addition. Thanks for the review.

I'd love a version with just the hazmat shower.

Can you do a review on the Xl Mammoth cockpit mod
Plz do the new high level weapons mod but make sure u check to see if it covers only vanilla weapons or does it also add the new shattered space dlc weaponry like the Varuun starlash. So does this mess with the 1 of a jind Bays? I love this
Lived landing bays are very nice, especially when open rump on hazardous planet with toxic or hot atmosphere. Nothing bad will happen, isn't it?
I haven't touched starfield after my save was completely fucked by a bunch of half-baked mods that Bethesda allowed thru... So It always freezes loading into most planets and then crashes sometimes I fall through the ship or the map I haven't felt need the really start over
The fact you have to say "free mod" is so disappointing. Do better Bethesda. It aint about the money.
I mentioned the free part because I review paid mods as well and want to make sure people are ware with each video I make
