What are some of your favorite PS3 games?
I like Madden 17. The color rush uniforms are awesome.
Tokyo Jungle!
Blur was a lot of fun with friends and siblings. It was probably my favorite ps3 local multiplayer game back in the day.
It's super fun and I love that it runs fast, I love that sense of speed
Great video and list. Some of my favorite hidden gems for PS3 are PURE (combine ATV FURY and SSX), Adventure Time: The Secrets of The Nameless Kingdom (Zelda clone), G-Force (a great OTS run n gun based on the Disney movie).
Thanks man I'll have to check out Nameless Kingdom
Hahaha 😄 You better get it before it's gone. Sounds like a T-shirt to be made.
I'm just glad I held onto all my stuff alot of 360 and ps3 are starting too go up games found for 5 or less around here have dryed up I just buy marked down clearance games and keep them sealed retro deals are over here
Nice. Xbox 360 prices have exploded and I'm pretty sure that PS3 game prices will be going up soon.
Great stuff Chris! Always wanted to check out those Alice and Catherine games!
Thanks man. They are fun games and they are still pretty cheap. Xbox 360 prices have exploded and I can guess that PS3 is not far behind..lol
@@CMRetroGaming thats why i bought 350+ ps3 games over the month. Xbox 360 now starting crazy and some of game hard to find today
Awesome video Chris! I'd recommend Shadow of the Damned.
Thanks man. I think I own shadows of the damned, I'll have to pop it in
Catherine was/is a great game. I’m glad I got that before it’s gone.
I love that Catherine "dared to be different." It's certainly an odd game, but the upward tower puzzles are fun to out.
Alice Madness Returns is my favorite game of this generation. The ambiance is just so weird
For sure, it's awesome
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is a big recommendation from me!
I'll look into that one. It's a game that I've seen on the shelf
I hate some of those puzzles in Alice. And I got Catherine last year. Haven't hooked up my PS3 to play it.
Alice is a cool game and yes some of the puzzles can get a bit tricky. But I do like that you get the Gatling gun super early in the game.
Love these videos. Thanks. A couple more cheap, fun games:
Starhawk
SSX
Sega rally revo
F1 Race Stars
Lord of The Rings Rings war in the north
Front mission evolved
Binary Domain
Brutal legend
Child of Eden
Dude, I can't find F1 Stars anywhere. It's a game I look for every time I'm at the game store.
Isn't Starhawk an online-only game?
@@WhatsOnMyShelfNo, its has a single player campaign.
@@antiquecardboard Hmm, I thought it was one of those arena multi-player shooters like Outrigger, Quake 3, or Alien Front Online which technically have a single player but it's pretty weak sauce. I remember being disappointed that Sony transformed their Warhawk "franchise" (one game) into their flagship online multi-player on PS3. The tech, controls, etc. looked great though.
Isn't Blacksite the third Area 51 game? There was a sequel to the arcade light gun game with David Duchovny (X-Files Mulder) as the voice of the protagonist.
I don't know
Loved neir on ps3. Drakengard3 is worth playing too even tho it suffers with screen tearing and framerate drops but its fun if you tough through it. Another rpg that really grabbed me and its ok the kids side but surprisingly good with 80 hours clocked in.... Ni no kuni
The only PS3 that’s going to disappear forever is what never got a physical copy it’s only in the PS3 PSN store
When I say "gone" I mean you won't be able to find the game on the shelf at game stores, thrift stores etc. I mean technically most of this stuff will out live all of us.
@@CMRetroGaming thanks to digital you can buy these games still were not on PS1 PS2 that were only physical we had no choice but physical the digital plays the same as the physical it doesn’t mean if you get the physical copy you don’t need to install the game
@@mikekanner2156 I understand that you could buy digital, if the game is available to buy. These videos are for physical collectors. You mentioned PS1, I don't think Einhander is available on the PlayStation Store, yes you could probably emulate, but the physical version wouldn't require a download or an update. I actually prefer physical copies because I have super nostalgia for these physical games. Yes, it is insane sometimes but it's what I like.
@@CMRetroGaming physical collectors you say who could those people be ego just buys them to resell them for bigger money the scalpers you mean cause I would of bought every physical game if they were all good games with ultimate game pass and plus extra you shouldn’t have a problem trying them before buying them I tried so many games that sucked that aren’t worth collecting you collect what’s great not what sucked there are still thousands of sucky games getting released every day digital and physical that’s why I don’t buy every game
@@mikekanner2156 Mike-the-run-on-sentence-guy, PS3 digital are forever available, if you hack the PS3. CM's argument is for the better physical games. Some gamers want a physical object to keep or eventually trade / sell in the future. He is not making an argument to grab shiddy games. When a game goes up in price, less people consider purchasing it. Now, if you've been alive for years, you would understand the good games have a tendency to go up in price as the available stock declines and gamers want physical games. BTW, disappearing online stores should have no effect on this, but it does due to manipulation.
Everytime i find a copt of BLUR it is always either has a scratch or damage, like seriously i cant find a decent copy of it, it has kind of becoming like a running gag for me XD.
I actually have most of these already and i got em mostly cheap
I already got Alice Madness Returns and lucky i got it cheap for less than 5 dollars as i did for Catharine, F1 Championship Edition, Need for Speed on the Run and even Blacksite Area 51 so i am good on that.
I have most of the HD and Trilogy sets with a few exceptions.
Nier i still need to find a copy along with the forementioned Blur. as for the triogy hd i still need to get killzone, ducktales, Splinter Cell, Jak and Dexter and the ICO and Shadow of Colluses sets.
I really like the PS2 collections on PS3.
From dust on the ps store.
You mentioned there would be crossover, but why? There are plenty of PS3 worthwhile exclusives that probably should be gotten before they go up in price. I can't predict some things about the game market, but exclusives usually end up being harder to get / more expensive, so that is an impetus to get them sooner.
Exclusives are great. My goal in these videos is to highlight some games on the console that people will enjoy, are cheap and they can still find. Let's say you only collect PS3 then you wouldn't necessarily care if they were on other console. OR maybe you are new to PS3 and are looking for some great games to ad to the collection and you don't care about having exclusives or expensive games.
❤😊😊😊
What about games we never got but should have?
Can you see a Big Lebowski licensed bowling title?? The Malibu cop could have been a secret character. 😂😂
Also, why invade Nevada??
LOL. I would play as Maude hehehe.
Did some copies of Alice come with a code for the first game?
That I do not know.
@CMRetroGaming I have the Xbox version, and it had for the other game.
@@countgrammar04 nice
@@countgrammar04 That is an interesting fact since the original version was never released physically for consoles. Maybe it got a console release outside the US.
@@WhatsOnMyShelf My copy came with a code for the xbox store for American McGee's Alice.
Great selection of games. I’d recommend to everyone Test Drive Unlimited 2 and both of the Star Wars The Force Unleashed games. I recently played through those 2 games and thought they were pretty fun. Test Drive Unlimited 2 carries a lot of value with being able to buy and store cars the way you want. I believe all of those games I listed are relatively cheap right now.
I remember playing Need for Speed The Run when it came out. I wish they brought those story driven games back. The last NFS game (Unbound) was pretty disappointing.
Thanks man. I wish they would remake NFS the Run because some of the cars are locked on the online mode and OF COURSE...The game isn't playable online anymore...lol.
The silent hill hd is absoute garbage hence why its so low. One theme i see with these videos that promote that havent even played it. 🙁
