Not surprised the bluegill won, they are my favorite too! The bluegill are probably getting close to spawn now so try fishing near shore in 3 feet to 10 feet of water by structure like stumps and branches. Scout shorelines till you find spawning beds then back off 20 feet and start reeling them in. Good luck and looking forward to more taste tests!
Man life has been changing for the better and It's been a overwhelming experience and I can say every time i've gotten weak and depressed and not motivated 😪 I immediately watch one of your videos and I'm happy again I'm pumped and ready to take on life much love for what you do I've learned so much from cooking camping fishing and be an amazing dad I appreciate you brotha 🙏 ❤️
When you measure crappie, you are supposed to do it with the mouth closed. These ones were well over 8 in anyway, but I don't want you to get in trouble.
Matters by state in ohio its open or closed. And that was told to me by fish and game at lake milton in ohio. When checked for my fishing license and my catch.
@@playerslayer91 call 100% bullshit, i just tried to look it up bc your comment and no, says nothing about the mouth being opened or closed specifically.
Hey Micah; That IS a Perfect Camping Spot, and Terrific lookin Circus Tent! I sure wish I had one About 50 yrs. Ago, mmm sure that it wasn't even thought of yet! Butt-Looks perfect for a sm. Family for the Weekend! I Raised 3 lill ones by myself! Of coarse taught them everything Iv'e learned throughout the yrs. And THAT'S what I Love about your Program/Family Oriented Mindset!👍😉💋the Children, &get a Kick out of their Antics! So I know why you do this sort of thing! All parents need a BREAK sometimes!! 😁! Anyway, Great Job w/The New B-Haved-Hive! I'm terribly Allergic, wouldn't do what you did unless using Protection! "Brave-Man!" I was holding my breath for ya! 😅! Your Hard Work to do all of this is so very Much Appreciated! ✊🤜, GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤🤗👍😎
Micah your camping setup is just awesome! Talk about camping comfortably. That is a really nice tent and small wood stove. You can wake up and make breakfast right in the tent.
Love your channel man and you’re killing it! I used to love watching your bro ace but now you’re my fav! Keep up the great work! Btw, huge Kansas fan, sucks we lost but ROCK CHALK!!
Thanks man! Saw we have the 5th ranked recruiting class in the country coming in this year. Think Dick would benefit from an extra year but oh well. I just hope Self gets better and sticks around.
Now I think a good idea for what you should do is fry them all with breading on them and see which one is the best. I bet the bluegill will come out the best again. Maybe a second running to the crappie but why haven't you tried them fried in breading as a cook-off or taste type thing?
The pine cones you found are ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) they’re cones are large with armored spikes facing down towards the bottom of the cone. Also to identify one check a branch if there is bundles of 2 and 3 needles it is for sure a ponderosa pine. Love the vids ❤
This is not ponderosa, I am a Forestry major and in my knowledge, it is a longleaf pine cone. Pitch cones can also reach substantial size. Ponderosa is found out West in drier, higher elevation forested ecosystems. Ponderosa is not found in the Carolina’s as of today.
@@alexfarmer1113 forester here (20+ years of experience), you are correct. The large cones are longleaf pine & the smaller cones are loblolly pine. Ponderosa pine isn't naturally occurring in the South, albeit some have been planted as ornamentals.
@@forestwolf60 For sure! Loblolly is predominant here in SC and most of NC east of Southern App. range. Loblolly is more common naturally than longleaf but both are common throughout the state. I really appreciate your addition to that, always a treat to hear from someone with greater experience!
@@alexfarmer1113 just got with a buddy who’s been in forestry here in PA and he agree with your statement 100%. So that being said, thanks for the knowledge folks!
I used to grow a lot of plants and when the plants were setting on fruit, it was buzzing with honey bees. I would walk among the plants and the bees, but the bees never did get upset with me. Very gentle little critters--very sweet.
I have done the same taste test and I agree with you however I added yellow perch as well and I was shocked as you were ! (FYI try snake head it's really good if you get the chance ,do this with it half of a lemon juiced in a bowl with a tablespoon of white vinegar 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 twist black pepper and 1/4 cup of water mix put filets in put in fridge for 1 hour ,take out rince of the fish bread it with panko salt lemon pepper to taste deep fry till done enjoy
Be careful in saying they don’t sting. You’re right in saying they aren’t aggressive but sometimes you’ll go out there and they’ll be ornery and aggressive especially when there’s not a lot to forage. The bees will defend their colony and they will light you up if you aren’t careful. Especially being a new beekeeper it’s likely won’t have the best hive handling abilities while you learn and that will make them ornery as well. It’s great to see the youngsters involved but I’d recommend finding them some gear if they’re going to be standing by you during inspections. I love the videos and congrats on the bees!
That's cool. I was with my parents picking up bees in Buhl in 100s of hives, when I messed up and swatted a bee. All the hives started rumbling and they came pouring out. The panic on the bee keepers face told me ... RUN! So I ran, with a huge cloud of thousands of bees chasing me, some got in my hair and buzzed in my ear. I jumped in a pond. My older brother was dying laughing, mom screaming "RUN!" Didn't take one sting either. NEVER EVER EVER! Take a swat at a bee. They're almost always cool with people, and swatting never helps with bees.
From my experience fishing for crappie . The best bate we ever had was to cut the white tong out of the fish and put it on a med. sized hook. Drop it down and , fish on! The tong will catch a lot of fish before you need another. But by then you should have a good supply. I am going to look forward to fishing Lake Murry when I get there in SC. I'm Leaving Washington by end of September. See y-all there sometime.
Love the new bees. I started bee keeping 3 years ago with 1 hive now I have 4. I get them from mountain sweet honey. It's a great company. And I love it so much. I remember you had that swarm last year and I commented you should get some. Glad you finally did. Can't wait for updates. I will suggest raising your hive like another 10 inches or so doing the hive inspections the less you have to bend over the more comfortable you will be. And you should name it. JUST Beecause
We are looking for a new tent. Probably pull the trigger on this one. During the hot summer TX months we will use a portable ac unit instead of the stove :)
I love that your teaching about honey bees I used to have a hive they weren’t near as friendly as yours and I had to wear a bee suit every time I did things for them unfortunately mine got robbed and knocked over we didn’t have many bees after that but they did get their numbers back up until the chicken house that’s right down the road from me started spraying pesticides and killed them

I thought it was so funny when you caught the dead fish. Which was the biggest fish of the day. But then things got a lot better. And I loved the bee introduction. And I hope you let us know how that goes ? And yes like everyone says you are a awesome father . I really enjoyed this video thank you .
hi high adventure video according to a previous episode where you talked about keeping the bait alive by not having so much water in the bucket i just have another tip if you want to keep your live bait alive for as long as possible, you must put a bit of cream in the water, it keeps the oxygen in, etc. jesper
What's going on Micha,I wanted to tell you about last summer at Steck Park,on tge snake river, idaho. That was an awesome morning
You are such a great father teaching your children how to act around bees like that, love you dude.
