One thing missing from these conversations is that this situation happened in Africa where culturally, polygamy is common and side chic/mistress is real and very also common place. So, the bride feels "lucky" to be the one picked and that's why she would not be quick to leave the groom.

@@kailahbrown4887 if it’s a wedding in a church the vows are the standard vows where “forsaking all others” is included that part is said along with In sickness and in health but it doesn’t mean that the groom will stick to his vows. Some people are getting calls from their mistress’s on the day of the wedding and so on. It can get pretty bad. This is not all Africans of course but it happens. The brides family may even encourage her to get married so she has a title and a perceived “one up” on the mistress or mistresses and trust she will be attending social events with the cheating man on her arm and his mistresses in the room. It can get intolerable
