    A few corrections/fun facts!
    1. All the Hulk personas are NOT Demons from Hell/One Below All, they are Bruce's alters/other personalities as the abuse he suffered as a child split his mind into a system of alter egos.
    Savage Hulk is the child
    Joe Fixit is the Man
    Devil Hulk is the father
    and the other personas come and go and merge and unmerge. Banner's mind has a bunch of different personalities in it, which is where the Devil Hulk first made his appearance, as you see in flashbacks. Professor Hulk/Merged Hulk is supposed to be the Hulk that puts all the personas together. But yeah, they all derive FROM Banner, and are just as much a part of him as he is, much like Moon Knight is more than just Marc Spector!
    2. General Fortean is not new! He actually was a major antagonist during the time when Red Hulk was the face of the title, and as someone who grew up reading Red Hulk comics(I started reading comics in 2008!) it was SOOOOO good to see him come back and be relevant again considering he took on Ross' mission to hunt the Hulk and just fell off the face of the Earth after Red Hulk left the title.
    Other than that, this is an EXCELLENT analysis and review of the Immortal Hulk series! As a lifelong Hulk fan(he's my favorite character!) it has been so good to have this run finally tie up so many loose ends and just be fantastic with how it evolves the Hulk and Banner and all who are stuck in their orbit. I'm so sad to see it end, but I'm glad it's ending on its own terms. I'm only 12 issues into Venom(I hopped on VERY late) but this video made me want to hop back into collecting it so I can piece it all together and enjoy it!
    Thanks for spreading the love of comics and the "good book" that is IMMORTAL HULK!!!

      Oh and I guess an addendum, the reason Bruce's Hulk is so unique in contrast to say, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, Abomination, etc is BECAUSE of Bruce's rather fractured mind. Savage Hulk is an entirely separate personality from Bruce unlike how Jen is just a more confident version of herself after the gamma. Becoming a Hulk often means letting what's pent up inside of you come out, often in very incredible ways! Hahaha, for Bruce, that meant the mild mannered scientist revealed a lifetime of trauma, loneliness, and rage.

    It makes me happy that they made Hulk cosmic, never quite made sense to me that he could take on Gods if he was just an irradiated angry dude.

    Thanks for all the support with the new video, as always, y'all should really check out Donnie Cates' Venom and Al Ewing's Immortal Hulk. I can't recommend them enough, I'm just so in love with the stories from those books. If you've read them, what are your takes on the books?

    Here's the thing, I never really saw Eddie Brock's Venom as a true villain and not for any negative notions at all, it's just I always saw him as a very vengeful guy willing to do anything to kill spider-man. Whether that means joining a group of sadistic villains of spidey or wreaking havoc on the streets of New York. Eddie Brock's Venom only ever joined alliances with other villains if it meant killing spider-man. If Venom did do such a thing regardless of attaining the life of Spider-Man: It was not Brock.

    Loved the effort out into this video and explaining your points. I plan to read Immortal Hulk soon but Donny Cates run on Venom was really amazing. Even if clunky with plot points spawning in multiple books. It was good I took the time to research plenty of reading orders to get the full story.

    I know, I'm very late to the party, and you may not reed this.
    both eddie brock and Bruce banner have alot in common. Think about it. Both are vengeful, they always have to fight their inner demons (venom and hulk), and they are huge monsters, and both had a very bad childhood. I would love to see a fair fight between these two imposing monsters. Not a cosmic level fight, but a realistic fight, where they destroy buildings and stuff (like the superman vs doomsday fight). They did a comic where both fight, but that was a total garbage and it had a ridiculous story. Like I said, I want to see a fair fight, where they are equal in strength and durability. You might say hulk would easily defeat venom, due to the fact he can do a thunder clap, and that's it for venom, but he was getting more resistant to loud noises (to the point, he's affected by loud metal noises only. Any other loud noise can't affect the symbiote anymore) the other thing that would give venom the advantage, is that The symbiote can mimic hulk's powers by possessing him, and then he would return to eddie (just like the symbiote did after spider-man dumped him), venom is already powerful, so he could be twice powerful than hulk, and overpower him.

    Great video! And yeah I love Donny Cates Venom and it is one of my favorite runs from marvel of all time, but the crossover tie in shit that breaks the pacing is a major pain, and I do feel the Island and Venom beyond are a bit odd and unnecessary, despite having some good stuff to them. But all in all, freaking amazing.
    Here’s to hoping that Al Ewing and Ram V can bring something truly amazing to the new upcoming venom run, and perhaps maybe even better!

    • @SuperSwimTeam7
      @SuperSwimTeam7  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the kind words! And yeah Beyond and Island felt very out of place. Then with KiB beginning as soon as Eddie gets back... It's just a lot happening very fast. It's confusing as Hell. And frustrating when you realized you skipped something on accident

    He doesn't swap places with a demon. But they are kind of the Shadow selves when they become home but when they die they go to hell but they only go to hell when they die not when they change forms. You really scrambled this up

    I think the main problem with turning Marvel characters into powerhouses is that they'll be so incredibly powerful almost nobody from the previous ages would be a match for them. There would have to be cosmic level threats/villains for now on or eventually returning these powerhouses into normal powered ones. It has happened that nearly ommipotent heroes don't have too much protagonism or stories due to how difficult it turns for the writers to make a good one without inconsistency, just see how Franklin Richards has little shine on that. That's why I didn't it like so much how they came to make the Hulk and Venom super gods. They would need to actually start to get the "DC treatment", something that the true Marvel is clearly way opposite.

    I think that venom was his best on the absolute carnage/king in black series
    Venom always felled like a stretched up character
    Venom was a villain because he hated Spiderman
    Venom was a antihero hero because he wanted
    In this new series we see secrets be reveal,characters being developed and fighting
    And for hulk I always believed that he was a boring character
    I don’t like super pawer full heroes like superman or hulk
    So seeing all of the immortal hulk thing was amazing
    What they are doing right now witch characters like venom,Spiderman and hulk it’s something to take and doit for everyone
    Batman finally kill the joker and age
    Superman to take out that city from bottle and be normal witch his own people
    Flash stop be beaten up by guys wish guns

    16:12 Bold of you to assume that TOBA is male, if TOAA has no set gender then neither does TOBA. TOAA constantly shifts between male and female, TOBA has a cloud form, what part of that says patriarchy to you?

    • @SuperSwimTeam7
      @SuperSwimTeam7  2 года назад +1

      Yes. I agree with everything you've said here. The giant cloud monster doesn't have genetalia, congratulations on pointing that out. But calling the oba/oaa she would be just as inaccurate as calling them a he right? So what's the point in nitpicking tiny choices in language? Chill out some. We're all on the same side here. You'll catch more flies with honey then vinegar, people will listen to kind words easier than they will vitriol. Your take is valid, just try to be a little less condescending about it, ya know?
