I had never heard of St. Faustina until a few months ago, just before returning to the Catholic Church. When I found out that The Feast of Divine Mercy was celebrated on the Sunday after Easter, I vowed to read her diary before that day, not only to feed my curiosity but also to be able to appreciate the feast day and understand what it was all about. Well, that diary has transformed my life. I highly recommend reading it. It is so beautiful and inspirational. I now carry it with me everywhere I go and refer to it often. I love it because it gives yet another glimpse of who Jesus really is.

Thank you for sharing. My mom used to pray with us when kids but the meaning was not so clear in those days. Today, I just love the Divine Mercy Chaplet and pray several times in a day. The last one is before I go to bed.

Wow, can't believe Philippines was mentioned. I am a Filipino and I have been discerning the authenticity of St. Faustina as some channels on RUclips render her as heretical. Please pray for me, I still am struggling with my faith and have had my ups and downs, my stumbling and getting up, progression and regression, but this time I want it only to be a progression. It is hard, since I have been living in a world where filthy talks has been normalized, fornication and other sorts of vileness. It is hard for me to break away from those, for fear that I may reduce the amount of friends that I have. But, I'll do it this time; to draw myself close to God, until he becomes sufficient for me.😊

Fr. Chris, I actually discovered St. Faustina and her diary about five years ago. When I started reading this diary I soon discovered it to be one of the hardest books to put down. I knew of another person who read this diary but he only wanted to read only the parts that Jesus Himself said to St. Faustina. I had to explain to this person that in order to really understand what was being said a person has to read the diary in its entirety. I also love the parts, though very few, of when Mother Mary appeared to St. Faustina and spoke to her as well.
I agree! I have ADHD and it's hard for me to finish most books but this one I could NOT put down.

Now I just red some posts on Facebook about the divine mercy is a false devotion because they said that the image of christ doesnt have wounds. And they said it was banned by 2 popes. What can I do to this?
The wounds are there just a little difficult to see and the ban was only from a faulty translation which when clarified was completely removed. God bless

Saint Faustina became an expert at resisting peer pressure with grace while doing so at an early age. I doubt that Saint Faustina had a big voice when resisting peer pressure while being invited to an occasion for sin however you just never know. She did so without the benefit of having a scary sounding reputation thanks to looking like some comic book hero and/or rumors and gossip about her. Or say her having an appearance like a fictional Mrs. Davis riding motorcycles on T.V. or whatever.
Here's a question Father. Everyone talks about how great John Paul 2 was and other Pope's before him, and rightfully so. But, on the same token isn't it also true that him and other's did very little to curb the sexual misconduct by the priests even though they were aware of it? It wasn't until Pope Francis that we learned how much of it had actually been covered up

Yes I have no doubt and have seen truth. Not because I was special but because I believed his promise knowing he can't lie.. I did pray confessed on on 9th day at hour he promised HE revealed the Master Plan for Salvation in Our Father and explained mass. All mass taught in parables as Jesus taught old testament in beginning of mass prophecy and 2nd gospel is taught in new testament fulfillment in new.. then he brought me from Genesis to revelation and was awesome I was in exstacy...at just sound of his voice. Too scared to look up cause if voice was that powerful to see I feared he would SMITE me out as I deserve.. said revelation is not when he smites as we deserve but 2nd Pentecost of holy spirit where all souls get judged as I was that day as he confessed my sins and if if coyld have crawled under concrete floor in church I would have.. as he confessed my sins to me he told me the sentence. Hell forever. As I cried said look up,, Father forgive them they know not what they do. As prophet I knew all be buying deadly lies and 55 million lost women condemed to death they gave my saints who feel being slaughtered in my wombs... Father God still watches us all daily. Instead of him seeing us buying deadly lies instead of bekieving His over 2000 years of truth... and smiting a l l, He only ever saw his beloved son dying on cross saying Father forgive them they know not what they do. The day u repented I forgave u cause I already paid your debt of sin of death in full.. . Father never saw a thing.
