E53 is a better buy than the GT53, cheaper and the sedan/coupe are quicker. The I6 is super reliable and sounds very decent, much better compared to the handbuilt inline 4
The M256 is actually not super reliable. Its probably one their least reliable 6 pot engines. I know several Mercedes specialists and tuners who have seen failed electric turbos, 48 V system + other engine interal related isssues. The M276 V6 was more reliable, easier to tune and sounded better.

Don't play around with it and leave it how it is. Failed turbo only happens to people who try to push more power, was always the case when I did research. M276 isn't better at all in terms of reliability they're both roughly the same. One owner has problems with his m276, another with the m256 and vice versa. Several S Classes out there with 200'000+km for sale with this engine. This engine really isn't known for anything, unlike EA888, N63 and other bad examples

Basically yeah.
It's also more maintenance free since theres no V-Belt. Gotta replace nothing besides spark plugs

When in Sport+ then there is some in-cabin sound from speakers. Its disabled on other drive modes.
