This one's pre-facelift version with those much more menacing front lights, and physical button steering wheel instead of this capacitive BS - dream car. Although, finally NOT a shiny glossy plastic piano black, but superb and truly beautiful open pore wooden inlays. As you said, compering to recent interiors, this has a proper design, physical climate control buttons, volume knob, and not just a thrown-on cheap display withouth any integration... Interiors peaked (imo) in 2010s. These trio a gen-before, BMW-Audi-Mercedes, best interiors are long gone now...
Years ago I had an e55 and loved it , I know it was technically a 5.4 but the history was there so made sense . But calling a 3 litre a 53 is just not cool, nearly as bad as calling a 2 litre a45
@@v12-s65we have a m177 and a m256 in the family and while the m177 is a brute, the m256 has instant response, is much smoother and overall the more sophisticated engine. The m177 is the better „AMG engine“, however the m256 might be better overall, if you daily drive these cars

For some reason I really like this engine. Maby not the fastest but sounds and looks smooth. Would have been nice if these were in the pervious generations or in the C class
Similar to mine even if it is a v6. Biggest difference is 4wd but mine weights around 200kg less. Even mine makes 255 easy and fast. Could make between 270 and 280 without a limiter.
Its top speed is 155mph if it does not have the AMG performance pack. My E53 is limited to 168mph and I’ve done that a few times on the German autobahns as mine have the performance pack
@@LebromJams6969 I hear they're also going to have a shaft which emerges from the driver's seat...so when you want some feature like the 9th gear or go faster than 250km/h your credit card will be charged and the shaft deployed.
This is one of the last generations of still-relatively-'proper' cars. The new ones don't interest me one bit. Why would I want to sit in a boring, cheaply made cabin of screens and capacitative touch buttons?

When we were Free the AMG was the 6.3L legend... the big Brabus 6.5L version...or the "little" 5.5L Now we have Mercedes 6.5/6.3/6.2/5.5/5.3/45/35.... At some point we'll be buying BrandNew Mercedes-Benz 0.00002 AMG with a racing Scalextric Engine which will produce near Quarter of a horsepower and MINUS 50Nm... They're degrading what AMG was meant to be...

The new E class has no S+ mode anymore in the normal versions thats really disapointing. if do that stupid 4 zylinder on the e63, the e53 will sell like candy
Its cheaper if you buy it used, has a bigger trunk,is more comfortable,but doesn't have the sheer power of the m3 touring, so if you want comfort and a big trunk this is better

AutoTopNL : this is the same weak sounding, as with the new BMW M3, wannabee AMG engine with its Inline 6 configuration that will NEVER be able to sound as the previous model. This car used to have a 4.0 litre V8 TwinTurbo....and before that a 6,2 litre V8....and both of them went faster than this and sounded much and much better.
@@henzo7087no it doesn't....the BMW M3 E92 with its 4.0 litre V8 420 HP sounds 20 times better than todays crappy Inline 6 that is pathetically trying to enhance its sound with a puny exhaust system that doesn't emphasize its sound properly.

5:25 you can also pull the downshift paddle for the louder start. At least in my c63 that's the case and more comfortable than the right one

50000 kms with the prefacelift. Love this inline 6 as a daily, instant torque is so good. The wagon space is huge to deliver a lot of stuff

Its top speed is 155mph if it does not have the AMG performance pack. My E53 is limited to 168mph and I’ve done that a few times on the German autobahns as mine have the performance pack
