Seems like any animal you move in immediately wants start making babies which means that they've found themselves the perfect environment.
Yeah.
Yea its good he uses actual plants too
The geckos produce their own eggs, without a mate. they are pretty infamous for running around laying eggs everywhere.
@@EvoSchecter yeah but those aren't fertile. The ones in the video are.
@@EvoSchecter You must also know, chickens are pretty infamous for running around laying eggs everywhere. The thing is, the eggs have to be fertile if you want babies. Not all eggs automatically produce a baby lol.
One of the most insane setups I've ever seen. It's literally it's own miniature ecosystem at this point.
@Verderion doesn’t make it any less impressive
You got an entire ecosystem in your bedroom. Wow, that is really nice to look at everyday. Must be really relaxing to look at it at night time.
For sure!
Until there is a hole and everything escapes and you wake up in the middle of the night with an ecosystem on you

Thank you I really appreciate it!
@@TheDrPlants same .. found this by accident and super impressed by it. You got a new sub!
Love your passion my friend! Keep it up….😊🍷
This is so fact.
He wouldve already blown up if he were more consistent, like ants canada or some of the other huge channels that are similar
there is actually a crab species in Jamaica (Metopaulius depressus) that raises its young in bromeliads and removes harmful insect larvae and dead leaves and even adds snail shells for calcium
Wow! That’s actually really cool. I have to look into that!
I wonder if Metopaulius is related to Geosesarma, or at least somewhere close to the Sesarmidae.
I saw these vampire crabs at my local aquarium and really wanted to try a set up with them there was also other vividly coloured crab in the next tank. Amazing creatures. Wish I’d taken steps to do it watching this.
I did something similar to this when I was a kid (with lots of adult help) after seeing an advertisement in this herpetology magazine I had a subscription to showing a terrarium/aquarium split in half to allow for aquatic, terrestrial, and semi-aquatic animals. It took like three months to get it all working properly but when I did it was super cool. I had newts, crabs, fire-bellied toads, Dwarf African clawed frogs, a family of geckos, an assortment of fish, and probably other things I either didn’t have for very long or am just forgetting about. The tank was 75-100 gallons so if anything happened to not get along well there was enough room for them to keep their distance and everything seemed to prosper. Everything in the tank that had a viable mate eventually reproduced over the five or so years I had it. It eventually busted during cleaning and I had to get rid of everything. They were all sent to good homes though.
I did this with minimal help since there were no guides to follow back then, at least not ones that were easily accessible to a 10-15 year old. I’ve always been curious about what kind of ecosystem I could create as an adult with access to the internet and limitless amounts of money but I’ve never pulled the trigger on it. Every now and then I get the itch and look stuff like this up. Maybe one day I’ll finally do it.
What you had as a kid is one of my goals. Do what makes you happy man
It’s time for at least a small one…
I’m a junior in high school & I want to do something relating to biology for a living. I’m really considering doing something like this for my senior project now! You’re so inspiring!!
Thank you, that’s awesome!
This might be both the coolest and most unique palladarium I've seen om RUclips. Well done
How do u access the filter to clean or maintenance issue?
Honestly your tank is like a little slice of tropical forest paradise 😍 it makes me so happy to see all those animals thriving ❤️
I like how they set them eggs high so the crabs can’t return the hate, it’s probably why the one was at the top, it’s the scout letting them know that when F day comes.
I love the amount of color in your tank. The reds, greens, oranges. You have a very unique looking setup!!
What a mysteriously beautiful paludarium have you made! Incredible! I've been caring a vampire crab. They are so cute!
Awesome thanks!
@@TheDrPlants , that's absolutely gorgeous and I could sit and watch the critters for hours.😃
Such a small container yet once zoomed in it seems huge and lively lol. I bet it’s a lot of care to maintain it too
I really enjoyed your video. My 3 year old son was absolutely captivated by everything in your tank. Beautiful tank. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!! Happy to hear your son enjoyed as well!!
This is some of the most relaxing and interesting paludarium content I have ever seen. I've seen your videos at least half a dozen times already and I can't get enough. I love seeing all the animals breed and become part of the ecosystem. I can't wait to see the next update and see what else gets added to the tank.
Wow, I'm really impressed. Plan to set up a multi species paludarium in future. From the beauty and vigorous health of this set up, clearly it can be done. You have done it exceedingly well. Looking forward to learning from you and living a bit vicariously through your content until we're in a larger space.
Thanks you!!
I didn't want this to end! Everything about this is amazing!
This hobby can be SO rewarding. Keep up the great work, you have a new subscriber!
It really is!
the production on these videos are awesome. Beautiful footage, smooth narration, good volume with no weird spikes and great information. Congratulations
Thanks!
I love how straight to the point and simple you speak. I don’t get bored watching your videos.
I know you build them for RUclips, but you could publish an instruction guide and sell it for this big tall one. It’s gorgeous with unique inhabitants. I was worried the snails and shrimp would over produce.
That would be really great!
This isn't just a home for your pets, its a work of art
Man made a whole fucking forest neighborhood. He’s the neighborhood watch, geckos are the weird kids down the street, and crabs have the street BBQ. I don’t know why but this entire video to me is just so wholesome it made me smile.
LOL thank you!
Living vicariously through your videos is letting thousands of us get to let our inner child out 😊 just seeing those animals and that tank is making my imagination run wild on what I could do in my home 😃😃😃😃 thank you
Wow.. you have an amazing tank..I love the little Ecosystem..you are very talented and dedicated...Perfection
I'm afraid of lizards but you making a home for the baby geckos made me interested in your videos.... they're great!!
1:45 The dark light looks so neat with thr plants colors, nice job with the time lapse, I think I might be getins inspired to try and get into building tanks too, looks exciting! keep it up!
Awesome!
Indeed. Lots of hard work and Passion. And the enormous payoff! Ty for sharing
We love your shows! Can’t wait to see more.
This is crazy! Crabs and geckos breeding! I'm impressed 👍
Yup you should of seen Mike and Jennifer on 3rd avenue...
But those geckoes can't breed
Rich biodiversity. Your active ecosystem is both functional and beautiful. Great work! 😃
Absolutely beautiful! Love seeing the updates. Keep up with the great videos!!
Absolutely incredible ,thank you for sharing !
This is such a great ecosystem you've built, everything looks like it's thriving in there
For anyone wondering, the little palm tree looks like a mimosa. I have little ones growing all around my home, and used to have full grown ones. They bloom these pink fluffy flowers that smell amazing!
It’s actually a biophytum sensitivum! I want to keep mimosa
@@TheDrPlants thank you
Where did you find yours?
I have been trying to figure that out for sooo long thank youuuu
Tank is so vibrant!!! Luv it 😍
If I had a paludarium like this I would just observe it all day
Wow!!! This is so cool! Awesome paludarium!!! I love all the species you have and that they’re all breeding!!! So exciting!!!
What a fantastic setup, this is incredible!
Everyone is so happy in their home! How satisfying 😀 I am in love with these videos. The music is on point too, imo.
This paludarium is thriving!!! Looking forward to more videos bro 🔥💯
Wow, that looks amazing! I'd love to set one up of my own
this is beautiful. thank you.
Watching these all the way over in England and really making me want to get an aquarium and vivarium in my room again. Grew up with tropical tanks and started setting my own up as an adult but always wanted more variety with species and plants and your tank looks amazing
Everything is looking really nice!! Excited to see the next video!
Thank you!!!
this reminds me of the Paludarium Nordic ants created on his channel. He also had freshwater crabs geckos and even termites, ants and a frog!
Glad youtube showed me this gem of a channel, please keep updating 🙏
Awesome update, I love mourning geckos!
I'm hoping you'll be able to put out (somewhat of a lengthy) documentary type video of your vampire crabs. I have never seen them before and I'm absolutely terrified of them! XD
The plants caught my eye and then everything else in your setup intrigued me. Beautiful videos. Subbed. Can't wait to see more.💚
Gah what an amazing little slice of jungle you've maintained and grown! Truly beautiful and incredibly inspiring to someone who wants to get into more bioactive setups!
This tank is amazing! Absolutely beautiful!
You are becoming one of my favorite channels 💟💟
Thanks!
This has opened my eyes to what is possible to create in order to liven up one's living space. Thank you! I look forward to what's to come from your channel. Take care and God bless. ✝️

@Idk__ I prefer my hobbies to be so, as the price tends to correlate with demand, and, well, who desires to be as bland as the majority. Wouldn't you agree?
I am a moss enjoyer, and I am enjoying the moss.
Plants with a diurnal/nocturnal cycle are some of my favorites.
I pride myself on a house full of plants but I have never seen anything like this. Simply incredible.
If any one was wondering, the mini palm tree is called Biophytum sensitivum.
YES ! Thank you !
I would love something like this but the amount of money, time, research and skills it takes to put this together is beyooooond me.
Incredible lil ecosystem ya got there! Thanks for sharing!!!
It's beautiful and hypnotic, could sit and watch all day. 🥰
Love your content! You earned a sub, cant wait to setup my own tank as well.
Btw, do you fertilize your bromeliads? I just wonder where they get their nutrients from since they arent planted in soil? :) many thanks
Thank you!!! I do not fertilize my bromeliads or anything else in the tank for that matter. Some don’t need soil so it makes them great to put on branches.
Can you share the name of the palm in the description please?
It's a Biophytum Sensitivum!
This set up is absolutely out of this world, I love it so much. I'm so tempted to try my own set up. I could sit there and watch animals for hours
I’m so happy I found your channel! Can’t wait to see more content…I’ve binged on everything you have so far!
RUclips recommending me this type of videos every couple of months W great content
You have created a really cool setup. The tank is beautiful and you take such good care of its inhabitants. I like how informative your videos are too. Great job!!
One heck of a bedside lamp you got there!
Totally fab!
Absolutely love how this has filled excellent job!
From the selecion of plants for the tank too the crabs (love the vamp crabs) and other critters, it all adds up too an amazing and interesting tank!
This is absolutely mesmerising. Amazing watching from build to now having its own ecosystem which I could spend hours watching. So many times I see some nice tank builds but they often put too many goldfish in a small space when goldfish actually do require a big space to thrive. Seeing all these creatures in this tank thriving, living harmoniously & having babies is proof that you having really thought thoroughly about all the creatures & their natural habitat. Love the information that you also provide too.
Absolutely stunning set up! 😭❤️❤️❤️
Thank You for such a great job that you do , you are encouraging me to try something on a very small scale
10/10 video, incredible work probably the best paladarium channel out there IMO
I loved seeing the use of the bromeliads. It's both cute and fascinating.
Thank You for sharing Sir. Love It ! You have done a great job obviously
Thanks!
Just found your channel and I love it! Instant subscribe. I had no idea crabs, shrimp, & geckos were this fascinating. I’m also in awe of your way with plants. I love them but struggle to grow them. Thanks for the great videos. Can’t wait to see what you have planned.
This is beautiful thank you for sharing the experience and the knowledge
It's so beautiful and lively at the same time ! I would love to have this at my place and enjoy it everyday
So beautiful!!! Thank you. xo baby's are so cute.
All I can say is wow! That is a beautiful setup you have man, amazing work!
Thank you!
This is a gorgeous tank! It's like a mini eco-system with how everything's set up, and I'm honestly jealous. Good luck in your future endeavors with this. ❤️

Lionel here in central California. Very impressive. It's captivating, the colors, plants, and creatures. Love the crabs, not just for eating, lol.
You do an outstanding job with the narrative and production. Very professional. Thank you.
I appreciate it! Thank you!
Wow. Awesome setup
Absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for updating
This is magical. I have always wanted an ecosystem.
I stumbled upon this in my recommended and I usually don't watch these types of things, but this looks absolutely stunning! The environment itself looks very pretty and natural, as well as all the creatures thriving inside it! I gotta sub and watch for more because this piqued my interest
Thank you!
Wow, awsome vid mate, really nic tank! I just loved the time lapse. Well done!
That pink plant at the top looks amazing love it!
That is an impressive setup! WOW!
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. Really impressive!
Can’t wait to see more ! Good work
Videos are really cool, seeing everything thriving beginning to now . Looking forward to update, and maybe adding other animals or making a bigger setup would be cool to watch 👍
