    Thank you! This happened to me a couple years ago and I went to the dealer, assuming that I needed a new remote. Thankfully the honest sales person helped me, but even he had to call the manufacturer to figure it out. This year I found your video and did it myself.

    Same thing happened to me. After not using the fireplace during the summer, the batteries in the remote went bad. So I changed the batteries, and the thermostat no longer functioned. I will only add that the fix that worked for me was removing the middle battery, then while pressing down on just the thermostat button, I replaced the battery, then turned on the power button. The thermostat function was then restored.

    Thanks - getting the thermostat icon back is not described in any of the Proflame 2 manuals I found. Suggest SIT update any future documentation to cover this problem. Took me a couple hours of troubleshooting to get to this ridiculously simple solution.

    This happened once to me - it took a lot of effort to get the old fart at the company that installed it to (find out how to) fix it, and I didn't get to find out how he did it. Now they're out of business, so great to know!

    I got this to work sort of. Got a screen that said set and it seemed stuck. Took batteries out to try again now I get nothing any ideas?

    • @pacificfireplaces
      @pacificfireplaces 10 месяцев назад

      This behavior typically only happens when one of the battery leads comes loose and it is no longer making a connection to the power. The lead has to be put back into place, sometimes by disassembling and re-assembling the remote. You can also try giving it a good shake ;)

    Hi for the thermostat to work. What should it be set to on off or smart?

    • @pacificfireplaces
      @pacificfireplaces Год назад +1

      “Off” - manual control, no thermostatic function
      “On” - thermostatic function (on/off only, user sets flame size)
      “Smart” - thermostatic function, flame size set automatically based on temperature setting

    Not working
    And I don’t know what to do 😣

    • @pacificfireplaces
      @pacificfireplaces Год назад +1

      Is your remote dark grey/black like in the video, or light grey? This should work for all dark grey proflame remotes, but it will not work for the light grey version.

    • @wormfood1day
      @wormfood1day Год назад

      @@pacificfireplaces it is in fact the light grey it’s metallic silvery, and I’ve tried the batteries and different button combos, nothing has worked. 😞
