Great reaction - and yes I think they make us all feel proud. Ignore the negative comments about them, those are usually made by very sad people who didn't take the time to listen to anything else by BABYMETAL after hearing the first few notes of 'Gimme Chocolate'. 'Akatsuki' means crimson moon and is inspired by and pays homage to X Japan's song 'Kurenai'. There is another version that Su performed live just once - at legend 1997 ... that is the 'unfinished' version (just Su, piano and strings) and it changes the feel of the song completely. If you react to the unfinished version bring tissues. For another Su solo, almost like a follow up to 'Akatsuki', look for 'Amore' ... and you thought the bass was good in this - you haven't seen anything yet. 'Amore' live at Wembley would be the ideal, but any live performance is great (of course).

Biss i know you don't do reactions to the same songs but the unfinished version is different enough to warrant its own reaction. But also other concert versions are out there. You should watch on your own time they can be quite different. Try the 2017 one. Beware the SuMetal death stares she really brings them out in that version.
I have not heard the critics? Where are these these bastards? Su metal is the finest singer - hands down - in her range and style. Her style uses the nasal passages as the final 'sound shaper' this give her that ability to cut and deliver with a heavy band like no one else... And she just proved it with this performance.
Every time a big and famous (or smaller) artists in metal has talked about Babymetal, they've only had good things to say. Their are very little elitists among them, basically all of them see hard working very professional talented kids delivering performances at a very high level. Their is nothing child-like about Babymetal in that sense. Su-metal at 16 on this stage at Budokan was already a top performer. Please show me who else can deliver such a performance at 16 years old. Most haven't even reached her level at age 22. And yes, I'm proud, very much so. Can you tell ? 🙂

i've only been aware of baby metal for a couple of months,but thanks to you tube i am able to go back and chart their career. su could be singing gibberish (which it basically is to me since i don't speak japanese), but her voice and the melodies of the songs are so beautiful it doesn't matter. plus the level of production that goes into the shows with the choreography,special effects, and the master musicianship all come together so perfectly you can't take your eyes off the screen. the whole thing is totally mesmerizing.

Thanks again from Japan 有り難う💛。This was performed right before BABYMETAL entered into international market. On Feb.19, 2021, Akatsuki became a very special song again for BABYMETAL fans in the world. This song had not been performed for 2 years and 4 months, but they revived it that day. I witnessed it at Budokan, the legendary arena, the same venue in this video. After the silent interval in the middle of this performance, Su-Metal showed up like a goddess standing solely in the center of foggy lake. It was divine beauty. Honestly I can not remember clearly what I saw and what I heard because it was too surprising and too mesmerizing. (Even after I viewed Blu-ray videos released thereafter) There is one certain thing, however. I felt celestial bliss there, especially with Su's matured richer voice.

Great reaction - and yes I think they make us all feel proud. Ignore the negative comments about them, those are usually made by very sad people who didn't take the time to listen to anything else by BABYMETAL after hearing the first few notes of 'Gimme Chocolate'.
'Akatsuki' means crimson moon and is inspired by and pays homage to X Japan's song 'Kurenai'. There is another version that Su performed live just once - at legend 1997 ... that is the 'unfinished' version (just Su, piano and strings) and it changes the feel of the song completely.
If you react to the unfinished version bring tissues.
For another Su solo, almost like a follow up to 'Akatsuki', look for 'Amore' ... and you thought the bass was good in this - you haven't seen anything yet. 'Amore' live at Wembley would be the ideal, but any live performance is great (of course).
Some people only want unhappy songs. A guy at work the only Babymetal song he likes is Monochrome. I think the unhappy songs cheer them up in a weird way.

Biss i know you don't do reactions to the same songs but the unfinished version is different enough to warrant its own reaction. But also other concert versions are out there. You should watch on your own time they can be quite different. Try the 2017 one. Beware the SuMetal death stares she really brings them out in that version.

Su metal is the finest singer - hands down - in her range and style.
Her style uses the nasal passages as the final 'sound shaper' this give her that ability to cut and deliver with a heavy band like no one else... And she just proved it with this performance.
Every time a big and famous (or smaller) artists in metal has talked about Babymetal, they've only had good things to say. Their are very little elitists among them, basically all of them see hard working very professional talented kids delivering performances at a very high level. Their is nothing child-like about Babymetal in that sense. Su-metal at 16 on this stage at Budokan was already a top performer. Please show me who else can deliver such a performance at 16 years old. Most haven't even reached her level at age 22. And yes, I'm proud, very much so. Can you tell ? 🙂

i've only been aware of baby metal for a couple of months,but thanks to you tube i am able to go back and chart their career. su could be singing gibberish (which it basically is to me since i don't speak japanese), but her voice and the melodies of the songs are so beautiful it doesn't matter. plus the level of production that goes into the shows with the choreography,special effects, and the master musicianship all come together so perfectly you can't take your eyes off the screen. the whole thing is totally mesmerizing.

My favorite are Metrock 2015 and Yokohama 2015. Legend S is too sad.

Das hier hat nicht im Ansatz was mit Kinder-Musik zu tun. Und inzwischen haben BM glaube ich mehr als nur ein paar mal bewiesen, dass diese Zeiten längst vorbei sind. :)
Nachdem du nun die finale Version kennst, führt eigentlich kein Weg und keine Ausrede an der Unfinished Version vorbei. :) Der gute 'ferr' hat auf seinem Kanal das Video in bester Qualität mit dem Intro parat. Jedoch muss ich auch eine Warnung aussprechen. Je nachdem wie nah du am Wasser gebaut bist, könnte es sinnvoll sein, Taschentücher in der Nähe zu haben. Du wärst nicht die Erste, die diese benötigt. :)
Ist etwas her, dass ich bei einem deiner Videos vorbeischaue ('ne dicke Entschuldigung dafür!), doch dafür hab ich vielleicht was für dich als Bewunderin von guten Bassisten*innen. It's a sad song about love. It's an homage to X-Japan song 'Kurenai'. It sounds similar. Kurenai means crimson. Akatsuki means crimson moon.

Thanks again from Japan 有り難う💛。This was performed right before BABYMETAL entered into international market. On Feb.19, 2021, Akatsuki became a very special song again for BABYMETAL fans in the world. This song had not been performed for 2 years and 4 months, but they revived it that day. I witnessed it at Budokan, the legendary arena, the same venue in this video. After the silent interval in the middle of this performance, Su-Metal showed up like a goddess standing solely in the center of foggy lake. It was divine beauty. Honestly I can not remember clearly what I saw and what I heard because it was too surprising and too mesmerizing. (Even after I viewed Blu-ray videos released thereafter) There is one certain thing, however. I felt celestial bliss there, especially with Su's matured richer voice.
