The white stuff from the chicken soup is called "scum" and its mosty free meat and blood particles and should be removed because its got a slightly metallic/bitter flavor.

in lot of countries ppl leave the skin on the chicken, it gives lot of flavor to your soup, and yes, a whole onion is tottaly okay. You got the flavor of onion without the onion chunks. You dont eat the onion, its just for the flavor. You also have to remove those white things from your soup. ofc you have to use lot more spiceis, I mean she dont even put salt or anything to her soup, but the other parts was tottaly okay in her video

Fun fact about the second one! Chicken noodle soup thing 😂 ALWAYS REMOVE THE FOAM WHEN BOILING FRESH STOCK! The foam is pretty much just dirt and stuff you dont really wanna eat 😂 now once you have cleared the broth, you should boil it for a longer period of time than just an hour 😂 bacterias and yuckies you know 👀
I make loads of homemade broth, and this is something every chef and many others have told me… Just so you know ☺️
also skimming helps make the broth clearer... its a good thing to skim the foam :)

My grandma used to make chicken soup just like that, except that she used a whole chicken instead of just the drumsticks. It was really good. If the onion is still in one piece you didn't cook it long enough. It should be cooked until the chicken meat falls off the bones by itself

Some of these are people that are too lazy to just boil a pot of water. It's like they think they're creating a masterpiece with minimal efforts, but they're pretty much epic fails... If a thing doesn't look appetizing, most people aren't going to eat it. Presentation does matter to an extent, but I really enjoy your videos, especially your reactions. I 100% agree with you most of the time.

Fact: the Monster energy thingy didn't turn pasty because:
1• in the video the lady used the black one, which is full of sugar and sugary drinks thickens when cooked.
2• You used sugar free low calorie monster drinks which will not thicken, the sugar used in that is artificial/chemical and not real, so it won't thicken.

About the chicken soup 🍲:
- I think it should be cooked for at least an hour or hour and a half. 🕙
- Also, you don't have to eat the skin, what I usually do is that at the end of cooking, I remove the skin and then I take the meat from the chicken, make pieces of it and throw them into the finished soup (without bones). 🍗
- You don't eat the onion, it's there just for taste! 😁
- The carrot, the celery and the pasta should be added at the end, maybe for the last 10 minutes 🥕
- And you should definitely use salt and some spices, I use peppercorns and bay leaf 🌿
Chicken soup is not difficult to cook and tastes very delicious when done properly, so I hope you're not gonna give up after the first try 😊

Boiling chicken with bones and skin is the right way to cook a chicken soup, even carrot, onion and celery is right and to remove the foamie parts is right aswell, but the way she's doing the rest of it...so so so wrong. Normally you cook it alltogether for hours with some spices, then strain it, remove the skin and bones and cut or pull the meat. Then you have an awesome chicken soup, but this is just disgusting 🤣
I'm not having an issue with her doing this on her counter because I roll dough, mix biscuits, etc., on mine and I know they're clean because I use bleach on them. Daily, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. lol It's the fact that she didn't wash her hands between opening packs, jars, etc., and touching the food.
You always use bone in, skin on chicken to make broth. The skin and bones are discarded after cooking and before adding the noodles.
I prefer hydrogen peroxide to bleach - no residue!

As Chinese, we do boil chicken with skin on (it does gives it flavour) and throw in other vegetables and chinese herbs depending on type of soup (raddish/carrots/onions/potatoes/carrots) and sometimes we do eat it with noodles but not with this kind of egg pasta noodle thing? It really isnt weird if you added more stuff into it and cut stuff up into smaller chunks
I agree. I think he missed the point that the ingredients are mainly to make the broth and he doesn't technically eat all the veggie right ingredients. Also, can just remove the skin upon serving... Doesn't have to eat the skin...it's just for fat/flavor that will make the broth rich.
I think the only thing that he was shocked about is the fact that there is literally no salt or spices in the soup which means that the soup is extremely bland

velveeta is a brand of american cheese, its comes in a block and is this really soft processed chedder cheese. its usually used to make mac n cheese or cheese dips!
and a 'stick of butter' is about half/a fourth of a block of butter depending on how big the block is (4th if its really big, half if its small)

At cooking school we made stock with chicken bones and that stuff you're skimmed off the top, the foamy stuff, is called "scum" lol. We didn't use the skin though

You know what the funny part is? The chinken soup is how the chicken soup is made, even she did mess up some steps.
Im from Croatia and you should try real soup, its part of every lunch here and is very healthy and good when you are sick. Basically, we eat much more healthier than you guys in America 😃
Absolutely agree with you. We also have this type (not exactly like this, but very similar) of recipe in traditional French cooking... so yeah, of course it may not be for everyone but to say it’s rubbish is truly not knowing much about cooking. 🙄

How else you want to make chicken broth? Like you put there chicken skeletons/pieces, skin, whole onion and other weggies. Then of course, the foam is bad flawor, so you need to take it away. Sometimes I am like wtf at your videos :)

the soup is how most asian countries make chicken soup, but it's just a really simplified version of it. nothing wrong with adding one whole onion and chicken with skin though!

To the stuff at the top of the “chicken soup” is actually called scum and it is flavourless protein that is best if removed from a good soup as it can cause small lumpy bits in the broth and will also lead to a cloudy broth. Sad that she knows to clarify a broth yet has no concept of what a good broth is or tastes like!

In Middle East we boil the chicken with onion, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves not only for flavor but also to remove unwanted smells/flavor from the chicken, after a while of boiling the chicken; a foam will be formed this is all unwanted flavor/smell which should be removed. After that you can throw the onion and the spices to use the broth.
You have to remove the white foam from the pot . It's not good it's boiled skin fat.
You shouldn’t be embarrassed bout the Webbie. Think about how many food channels there are and you were in the top 5, that’s something to celebrate. Well done.
For future reference... when a recipe calls for 1 stick of butter, they are referring to one of the following:
• 1/4lb of butter
• 1/4 of the block of butter
• 1/2 cup
• 4oz.
(whichever makes it easiest for you to measure).
Some blocks of butter come packaged and precut as 4 sticks for convenience.☺️
You didn't get the sticky texture from monster because you used zero sugar one, she used the normal monster that's why what stayed at the end is the caramelized sugar.

OMG you have got to try actual Velvetta cheese!! It’s nothing like what you used. You used processed American cheese slices. Velvetta melts ( and stays melted while warm) and makes a cream cheese sauce. It’s amazing on macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, makes amazing quaso when mixed with salsa. It’s an American thing and I promise you you must try it!!!

Actually, in the Philippines, some people (including me) really enjoys dipping bread (sliced bread) in coffee, preferably hot, or chocolate drink, and sometimes, the regular coke. And its delicious. But powdered donut, welp, maybe(?)
