    I knew you could downsize, but never considered you could upsize something like this.
    Thanks for sharing.

      Upsizing is such a great way to keep your outgrown items in your wardrobe (+ it makes them extra unique) 😀 I've shared loads of upsizing DIYs on my channel: ruclips.net/p/PL7dZmqeknPlgJVbHv_tSxrR7VXJGxXgLO and blog too: t.ly/V0oqb

    I've never commented on the ironing before, but thank you for ironing. It does make everything look so much better. Also, almost certain your fabric is tencel, or lyocell. They are both pretty much the same I think. Fun to wear for hotter weather. You have the denim look, without the weight of denim.

      I hate ironing but it's absolutely a necessary evil I must do from now on 😆

    Sheri, that jumpsuit is perfect on you! Congratulations!
    You indicated that the jumpsuit's denim cloth was thin; I am thinking it might even be a chambray instead of a denim. With summer on the doorstep, a chambray is much cooler and more comfortable than a denim. Anyways, it's still a WIN-WIN!
    I'm looking forward to your/our next adventure!

      Oh thank you loads! 🤩 I have no idea about the many differences in fabrics beyond the basics but love learning new names, terms, etc! 😘

    Excellent result, the extra step of ironing really paid off, looks superb! Well done Sheri!

      It really is strange that so many people find it necessary to watch content they don't enjoy, get angry about it and then comment to let everyone know how important they think they are 🤣

    Yep, sadly ironing is always most of my project. If I hit a problem, I iron in my thinking time, which makes me iron more and always makes things better.
    Fing 😂 love Esther!

    love it! Thank you for your enthusiasm :). I do have a money plant but it's not doing too well - I've read they need plenty of light - mine is alive and has been for the last few years but it's not exactly thriving - I don't have a sunny enough spot in my house I think...

      Thank YOU for sharing your plant experience 🪴😊 I think I need to get mine into a bigger pot but will def keep it beside the window that gets the most light! 🌞

    Cute refashion!
    I especially liked the matching pattern on the behind pocket!
    I admit - because I'm a "matchy-matchy" person, I would have put the checked material on the sleeve cuffs too! *grin*
    And yep - ironing the seams helps - but I dislike doing it!

    That came out beautiful. Jump suits aren't my jam. But, I upcycle a lot of shirts and some pants. I could see me using this idea to upcycle/upsize a shirt with a neat picture on the front that I want to keep. Thanks for the new tool (idea) in my creative toolbox. You never disappoint. Your earrings matched perfectly.

      I used a similar method to upsize a sweatshirt here: ruclips.net/video/YUKw8JUHEpk/видео.html so I was emboldened to try it on a (much) bigger garment 😊 thankfully it was a roaring success! 🌈 I love my rainbow earrings! 🏳️‍🌈

    This looks awesome! I’m going to give it a go but I also need more length in the torso. Do you have any suggestions on how to do that? ❤

    • @RefashionistaSheri
      @RefashionistaSheri  8 месяцев назад

      You could add a fabric insert around the waistline area to create more length - I have the exact same problem with most jumpsuits & usually end up chopping them in half to make a top & trouser set 😁 here's how I do it: ruclips.net/video/IYYicM1vPss/видео.htmlsi=1H9nIG_XxJLT6upf and an alternative method here: awesomesauceasshattery.com/2015/06/03/a-quick-refashioned-jumpsuit/

      @jessticles1 8 месяцев назад +1

      Amazing! Thank you so much ❤❤ yes I struggle with jumpsuits a lot, I have a very long torso so usually size up anyway. A 2 piece usually works better for me so I might try your suggestion 😊 I hadn’t even thought of that!

    Hi, I want to do something similar with a ski/snow suit. Do you have any advice? I’m scared by the thickness of the fabric and the innerlayers😅

    • @RefashionistaSheri
      @RefashionistaSheri  9 месяцев назад

      After chopping, I would definitely do a quick stitch along the cut edges for safety (so the interior padding doesn’t try to escape 😊) but other than that I think that as long as your machine can handle thick fabric it should be quite straightforward 🤞 good luck!

    What a cool transformation! BTW, I can’t believe a troll would complain about a CONTENT CREATOR who does a combination of educating and entertaining who does characters? Is this person going to complain to Dave Chappelle or “Saturday Night Live” because actors play different characters in skits? 🙄
