What about the compartments does it works when it’s empty or do I need to put control and other stuff in compartments ? I have one but not sure how to use it
I purchased 2 Sunsun HBL 801. Have had them for a month in my 20L and 36L tanks. They are doing a great job, BUT they both keep taking in air. You can clearly see bubbles in the bends of the translucent inflow and outflow pipes. The filter makes annoying burping sound and has outbursts of air into the tank quite often. I really do not know where the air finds its way in, but my only guess is the knobs for flow regulation. I have used vaseline to try and seal the space between the canister and the cover, also used vaseline to seal the threads on the ring screws where the inflow and outflow pipes connect to the canister. It hasn't helped. Today I tried to seal of one of the knobs, the one on the inflow pipe. I either did not do a good job or the leak is elsewhere. Anyone with the same experience? Any ideas on how to fix this?
Mine has 3 days with me and it's acting up just like that! It´s driving me insane. Because each time I turn it on, i have to put water inside, just a little. Did you get yours fixed?
No it doesnt!! it is the only drawback other than that perfect filtering ability with lots of filter media space. after 3 years of usage mine got wasted because of dry run. But even I cannot find a replacement for it. I will buy a similar filter anyway :)
Brilliant mini canister filter !
Thanks. It's good for 90cm tank
Yes
does the inlet water goes down first or gets filtered from top to bottom?
Why sunsun fikter are working fine on videos how to set up. Mine not totally working
At 1:27 instead of using the extended tube, can I just connect the bottom bit to the top as my tank isn’t that high only like 10cm
then buy hbl 801

Unscrew the inlet and outlet pipe fill the water till its overflow, so no air might be filled. Next screw them and start the motor and check.
@@premierplants9447 done that, several times. Not working.
