@@barbarasteed3966 I shoot pool with one man who is 78 and one who is 71 and they would easily wreck either of these guys in a match. Pool is one game where age will have little effect on your ability to play well.
14:10 No way I would have risked the scratch or giving up ball in hand here. I don't know why he didn't take the jump shot just to ensure contact and not give up ball in hand.
It's APA Rules. Accidentally moved balls must be replaced, unless any of the accidentally moved balls make contact with the cue ball. If accidentally moved balls make contact with the cue ball, it is a ball-in-hand foul, and no balls get replaced.
Thanks, a bit strange for me, especially in a $15,000 game and it also looked to me like you only had to call the 8 ball. Maybe these simple rules and the small tables are also a reason why the USA is not so good at pool billiards anymore? In Europe, even the lowest leagues play on 9 foot tables and with 8 ball world rules. On the other hand, is it nice when not so good players can play in a league if they want. Here you see these level 1-5 players only playing in the bar, they wouldn't stand a chance in a league.
@@singlucille3440 my friend. This is a league championship. Not a bar game. And no they dont play only on 9 foot tables in Europe. As a matter of fact. English 8 ball is played on smaller tables than this.
@@propoolinstructor As you may know GB is a bit different than the rest of Europe. ;-) And English 8 ball is a different game. In any case, in Germany and neighbouring countries we play 10 ball, 9 ball, 8 ball and 14.1 on 9 foot tables even in the lowest league. And you need to be at least APA level 6 to have a chance there. I know it's a league championship, and that is precisely the difference to Europe. As I said, worse players you only see playing in the bar here and they have no chance of ever playing in a league if they don't improve. Whether that's a good or bad thing is part of the discussion.
hows table 1 going it used to be called felt smokers were 4 guys paid 5 bucks got two free drinks and played 4 games against each of the teams opponents 1 time after like 30 years it turned into apa and a trip to vegas who would a thought anyone would of gone through like 3000 players at the bar is epic
Please, I'd love to see you play in such a high pressure situation and not make mistakes. Not to mention that they went up to 5s during this event and Ewa already said they wouldn't be considered strong 5s.
@@bicd3244 You can check my profile on the APA website. My last match brought me 3 run outs in a row. Believe me... I am the real deal Bic. And I will become the Amateur world champion. Especially on those bally tables. On east coast, we play with Diamond tables. The Bally pockets are like giant garbage cans. Believe me, Blindfolded is not an understatement.
wish the cameramen would stop focusing on the shooters while they're shooting. much rather see the shot...
So annoying can't see the shots!
I'd also prefer the audio stays on
I left the APA as a 5. I had to quit because of my job, i use to love playing pool. I still got my sticks.
In the APA around my way these guys are 3’s at best. This is tough to watch with them supposedly being 5’s
This guy may be 30 yrs older than you try put yourself in the future..ps I'm old..

I'm curious if your boyfriends can shoot that well in an arena with thousands of eyes

Cue ball fouls only.

I need to join a league like this..

nice shooting tom
Question,,,, can "they" force you go up a level even if you don't want to ????
Yes cause if it was based of what you want every 7 would stay a 4 and just run tables lol
And my high run in straight pool on a 4 1/2 by 9 is 75 balls.
Made it to the last day of the Regionals and I choked~
Dude no way these guys are 5s. Or 4s. They’re strong 3s max

If you miss a ball in my league you get kicked out.
This ref doesn't know how to rack. There were two of the same type in each corner on several racks.
Pool dog Frank! lol
I could beat these guys blindfolded
When is your match being plated in Vegas?
